I finished everything in the village, and headed through the caves to the west. However once I reached my rival near the top, nothing happened. As in, he didn't talk at all, and I couldn't access any menus. My only option was to reload to my previous saves. Has anyone else had this problem? I really love this game and its unique storyline, so I really want to continue on as soon as possible.

Haruko-Chan : I did not have that problem. Not sure what to suggest. You could try rearranging your pokemon, or changing your team.
