WARNING:If you really hate this game and do not want to see anyone say anything positive,YOU SHOULD LEAVE NOW!!!!!!! Anyway, Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 was released in 2006 for PS3 and XBOX360. Fans were excited,I was hyped,and people all around were waiting to see what Sega's 15th anniversary game would be like... And for many people this game was trash full of glitches,bugs,stupid love,and other stuff many people despise. But is it that bad??? I think not and today will be my explanation why.

Graphics: This games graphics vary on where you are in the game. The intro cut-scene which by the way is the 1st cut-scene you get to see is beautifully detailed and Eggman's redesign isn't that bothersome,it makes Eggman look more authentic to me. While all CGI cut-scenes are terrific the actual In-Game cut-scenes look almost like they were made for PS2. Elise's design isn't terrible like Rouge's who use to be beautiful but is now that ugly thing for 06. While in a stage the backgrounds and enenmy's can look very detailed and pretty. Silver's Psychokinesis has a nice green when you pick up an object and the character models aren't that bad. Besides that most of the graphics are standard sonic graphics.

Sound: The Soundtrack in this game more than makes up for the average graphics. Sonic 06 has 1 of the best soundtracks in Sonic's history to me. There's Rock,Jazz,Pop and everything here. The character theme's also aren't to bad with the exception of "His World" and it's strange lyrics. The voice acting is pretty good as well. Tails sounds ALOT better than he did in heroes and Knuckles sounds pretty tough in this game. I'm also pretty fond of Elise's voice actor Lacey Sherbet(Or something like that =/). The voice acting really mixes in with the game and in my opinion is very well and tons better than Heroes.

Addictiveness: So if you've bought the game completed it and enjoyed it there's a high chance of you revisiting the game to discover quicker ways to finish the stage,Playing Multi-player,Or going back to find more funny glitches. Belive me you'll find yourself coming back to this ALOT...

Story: Ok so this game has 4 stories in it. I'll start with Sonic's.
The Annual Soleanna Festival was beginning when Eggman comes and confronts the Princess Elise hoping to unlock the secrets of the Flames Of Disaster when Sonic comes in and saves the Princess. After escaping Eggman captures Elise and flies off. The next day Sonic meets up with Tails and they go after Elise to Wave Ocean. But then the egg carrier gets away and sonic heads back to town where he goes to Eggman's base in Dusty Desert and fights one of Eggman's robots. When he arrives back at Soleanna Silver The Hedgehog stops progress and They fight. After the fight Silver does something and Sonic flys into the wall when Elsie is captured yet again. Sonic tries to follow but Silver hits him again and is about to finish him off when Amy comes and saves Sonic,who proceeds to follow Eggman. He gets a message from Tails telling him to go to New town to meet up with Knuckles. When Sonic gets there Knuckles gives him a message from Eggman who tells Sonic if he wants the Princess he must come to his base in White Acropolis. When Sonic and the gang arrive Sonic gives the emerald to Eggman who tricks them and sends them 200 years into the future where they meet up with Shadow and Rouge. They conclude that they must use Chaos control to get back to there time. Once they collect 2 emeralds they use chaos control to create a time warp and go back in time. Then he saves Elise(AGAIN) but is confronted by Silver(AGAIN) who attacks them and Elise is captured(AGAIN) and right when Silver is about to kill him Am-I mean Shadow saves him and Sonic goes after Elise(AGAIN). While heading after the ship he encounters Silver(AGAIN) who surprisingly decides to help Sonic save the Princess. As they near the ship it Crashes and both Eggman and Elise die on-board. Silver uses a time warp and Sonic heads back to the past to save Elise before it crashes. Then he saves Elise and defeats Eggman. Then Sonic's story ends.
Now I'll very quickly sum up the remaining 3 stories fairly quickly.
Shadow is going to save Rouge who has the Scepter of darkness which brakes and Mephiles is released and then Shadow confronts Mephiles a few more times before he defeats him by taking off his inhibitor rings. Shadow also goes back 10 yrs ago and seals Mephiles in the Scepter Of Darkness.
Silver is from the future and meets Mephiles who tells them he knows who caused this the "Iblis Trigger" who is Sonic apparently. He goes back in time attacks sonic twice then teams up with him and after defeating Iblis 1 last time Blaze sacrifices herself to seal Iblis.

BTW I am replacing Depth with Gameplay Ok?
Gameplay: In Sonic 06 there are 9 playable chars and I'll briefly go over them for you.
sonic : Sonic can run,Homing Attack,Spindash,Jump,Do a slide kick thing,Bounce Braclet,and Gems which each have there own special ability.
Tails:Tails can Run,Fly,Jump,And throw Ring bombs
Knuckles : He can Run,Glide,Climb on Walls,And punch.
Shadow:He can Run,Jump,Homing Attack,and do combat while homing attacking,Chaos Spears,Kick thing,and Chaos abilities.
Rougeame as Knuckles except she throws Boob Bombs.
Omega:Run,Jump,Hover,Shoot Gun,Charge gun.
Silver:Walk,Jump,Fly,And pick things up with his psychic powers.
Blaze:Run,Jump,Double Jump,Homing Attack,and a firey tornado like thing.
Amy:Run,Jump,Double Jump,Hammer Smash,Invisible.
OTHERS:Mach Speed Sections(Sonic Only) Vehicles(Shadow Only)Psychokinesis(Silver Only)

Difficulty:This game is real easy if you avoid Silver.Silver isn't bad and he's pretty cool but he's slow,and difficult to use even with his flying abilities. The controls can be buggy at time but button reactions are pretty good.

Overall:Overall this game is pretty good and while it does have it's flaws it is still a fun Sonic game to play every other day. That's all for now Bye =3

soniclover44 : Have you ever seen a Sonic 06 mod made for Sonic Generations PC? I forgot who made it but he's used the Generations engine for several old Sonic games already and posted his proof on Youtube with LPs. I think you should check it out.

I honestly disagree with all of this. Sonic '06 was the worst it could be at the time it was made. Really, it's up there with the likes of Superman 64, E.T. the Extra-terrestrial, Daikatana and Tunguska: Legend of Faith. I'm not saying you're not allowed to like Sonic '06, but seeing someone defending one of the biggest atrocities in video game history just looks really silly... No offense.

ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD: well I heard some  people saying that the game was great SEGA game so I had try it myself and as AVGN I say that the game is great, I love the way they put the story difference from the rest sonic game and I love 3ds SEGA games anyway nice review  and the game is as great as some people say it is, so I hope that SEGA make more great sonic game or ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD might  attack the SEGA company.

Sonic '06 is just a rushed game and it is clear. You cannot defend this game's gameplay as it is unbelievably glitchy to the point of ruining the whole 'Sonic speed' thing. Also, the whole town thing where you stay or whatever is just a joke. It is boring and just stupid. However, one thing good about the game, and basically all Sonic games: it's the music. I mean most Sonic games have good music but Sonic '06 is legendary. One of my favourite, if not my definitive favourite piece of music in any video game ever is Solaris Phase 2, also known as the final boss music in Sonic '06. Just listen to it. But other than that Sonic 06 sucks harder than Tulisa. The end.

I'm going to say this. The gameplay and the music was amazing that I can see. But the storyline was plan poor because they put in something that was never meant to happen, thus the fans got angry. Everyone has their picks and likes of this game. While some others just hate it as a whole. I just wanted to stated what I liked about the game and what I didn't like.

Your review had a very strong start, talking about the deceived expectations for many but also why YOU think the game was not so bad. However, you could have structure your story section a little better. The sentences do not flow from one to another like a real story.
