Zen Pinball 2

This is a fantastic example of how far we have come for the old days of the pinball simulators found on old pc's and game console's of the 1970's. While the 2D games from my youth will always have there charm i can now say digital pin ball has finally come to a standard where it feels like your playing on a real, well maintained pinball table. I have 18 tables out of the dozens of different tables that will be coming out over the years. so far there is around 50 i think. i have what looks like a third but new tables are released every few months. It is a multi-platform game so what ever console you own i highly recommend this one. whether  your a fan of flapping the flippers or perhaps your just fond of the many fun themes available to download. Ok so ill briefly break down my score.

Overall- The game play is simple but rewarding. Across all the tables the two objectives are the same.....Unlock all the different modes while getting as high as a score as possible. But How this is accomplished is unique to each table. I have 10 Star Wars, 4 Marvel and 2 South Park tables. Most will have missions where you recreate iconic Moments revelent to those tables franchise. Others have an excess of wizard modes (multiball)  as a way of racking up points. All have small mini games like shooting a blaster or blocking with a lighsaber using either the left or right flipper or the launch button.   This makes playing the game a lot more than just tryng to beat your on a friends score. 9/10

Graphics- At 1080p this is the nuts. there are 8 different views to chose from. they varied on how you would like the camera to follow the ball or the fixed angle you wish to view the table. i believe there is a option to play in 3D on a 3D tv but i have not tried it. it dose look like playing a real pin ball table visualy. with lots of detail put in on how you view the table. 8/10

Sound- I have mixed opinions on this one. The music no the star wars and south park tables is awesome. The voice overs for the last 4 star wars tables are bad. really bad. I almost made me regret buying it. The first dlc was a bit sketchy. I though for the most of it, it was genuine but when the second came out i realized i was wrong. By the third i felt that maybe they just couldn't be bothered to get good voice actors. thankfully the SP voices are from the tv show. No high pitched pops (when you get a high score) like the real arcade. other sfx are more true though.   7/10

Addictiveness-  Pin Ball is straight up one of the most addictive arcade cab nit games of all time. It was even banned in the usa during its hay day and the digital version is no different   With all the choice of tables you wont be board easy. And you will always want to do that little bit better next time... and next time... and next time.... Especially if your on a roll...get it .... "on a roll". 9/10

Story- The game dose not have its own story but it dose digress on the characters involved with in the franchise table  your playing. Most of the Marvel  tables are solely  based around main characters in that universe. Because of this... 7/10

Depth & Difficulty- I Have never beaten one of theses tables. I have respectable scores on the psn (top 100 on Boba Fett) but i could never see my self completing all the table objectives in one go. I wont go in to the mechanics of how most tables are clocked but you have to be highly skilled to pull something like that off. At the same time you are just hitting a ball around so.....8.5
