Well, it's almost November, so that means that Microsoft has revealed the free games for the month of November for their Free With Gold Program. All you need is XBOX Live Gold Membership, and usually 2 XBOX 360 games, and 1 XBOX ONE game will be yours for free every month.

You have until sometime on the night of October 31st to get Darksiders II for the XBOX 360 and Chariot for the XBOX ONE for free. Sometime on the morning of November 1st, they will go back to their original pricing.

Starting on November 1st, XBOX Gold Members who have an XBOX ONE will be able to get Völgarr the Viking for free. It's a brand new game for the XBOX ONE, and it looks interesting. It has 20 achievements at 50 each, totaling the normal 1,000 Gamer Score for the entire game. Just reading the achievements and their descriptions, it looks promising, and I look forward to playing it once I get my XBOX ONE.
However, a bit of bad news for people that live in either Germany, Russia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand or Brazil: You'll have to settle for Powerstar Golf for the XBOX ONE for the month of November.

Then, for the XBOX 360, we are looking at yet another relatively disappointing month, at least to me since I haven't heard much about these games before now.
From November 1st until the 15th, you'll be able to get Viva Piñata: Trouble In Paradise. It looks weird, and I'll download it because it's free, but I don't expect to play it that much unless it impresses me within the first hour or two.
Then, spanning from November 16th until November 30th you'll be able to get your hands on Red Faction: Guerrilla for free. This game isn't your normal game with 1,000 Gamer Score either; this one has a base of 1,250 without any DLC.

With the XBOX 360, it looks like a disappointment to me. However, at least they aren't the normal crappy arcade games with 400 Gamer Score that Microsoft has been feeding us since nobody buys them in the Marketplace.
The XBOX ONE looks promising, though.

Here's a hint for you guys that might have an issue with your XBOX 360 or ONE, or for some reason you have internet, but no access to your system. Or, maybe you're like me, and only have the 360, and plan on getting an XBOX ONE eventually.
Well, if you have a Gold Membership for your XBOX Live Account, you go to XBOX.com, and search the game while it's free, and "purchase" it. Next time you get your system, the game will start downloading for you. It's what I have been doing for the XBOX ONE since they started doing Games With Gold for it, too. I think I have 4 or 5 games waiting for me now? Not sure on the exact number, to be completely honest.

Note: I am a part of an external site that I used for reference for this.

If you have any questions about the XBOX LIVE, Games with Gold promotion, I will be than happy to try to answer them. And as always, constructive criticism and non - harsh feedback is accepted.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise was actually developed by RARE. I've played the first game, and it was a brilliant time-waster. It didn't appeal to everyone, though; and was developed with kids in mind. However, I still enjoyed it a good bit, and loved the style of the game. I guarantee you will be impressed in one way or another if you go in with an open mind. If you enjoyed Animal Crossing, you'll almost definitely like this, although it's not as deep as Animal Crossing is.

Yeah, I've also played the first Viva Pinata game. It's pretty fun and clever, but I don't know how to progress through the game. Gets boring after awhile. I'll probably download the sequel just because. It's a sandbox game where you build stuff for bugs and animals. Knowing you, I honestly wouldn't expect you to like it too much, but you still might. Definitely worth a try.
