I couldn't find any recent threads about anime conventions, so I decided to start one! Personally, I'm thinking of going to a local con called Anime Central, aka ACen, which is right here in Chicago!!! It takes place next May and tickets are already on sale. The cosplays I'm gonna put together are: Kagamine Rin, from Vocaloid; Asuna, from SAO; and Morokei, a Dragon Priest, from Skyrim. PM me if you're going as well and maybe we could meet up there!! 

Who else is gonna go to a convention in 2015 and what cosplays are you thinking of doing? :3

I only go to one anime convention, and that's Zenkaikon. I went there earlier this year and last year, but I am unsure if I can go next year. It cost lots, and my family is already paying lots of money for a school trip to Florida, and Zenkaikon will be on a week after the Florida trip. I'll find out soon if it's possible to go to Zenkaikon next year or not . I don't cosplay characters when I go to conventions, I just be my own self :V

Im considering going to ACE (Art Cosplay Expo) next year, since I went this year and it was pretty fun. This year was my first con, and I went as Rinnosuke from Touhou, but if I end up going next year I might go as Chaser John Doe from Yumekui Merry. Its a simple con thats local, but its all I can really afford

The best part of the convention is that it also includes many other Japanese activities, like martial arts exhibitions, Japanese cuisine, manga drawing classes and even tournaments of shogi, the Japanese chess. This year's theme will be Pokemon, with the demo for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire being distributed.
