So! Next April I, along with the rest of my classmates(25 in total) are going to Cambodia! I am really excited, however until today I didn't think I'd be able to go.

The reasons are pretty simple. The first-I don't have my passport; which I will be starting the process to get on Friday. And then we had a $100 deposit due last night to book the plane tickets. I didn't have that either, seriously my family is so against me going. However(and the reason for this post), today when we were in class the director of my school came up to us and let everyone know that my friend Nathan and I both had our deposits covered! Someone paid $100 for each of us so that we can go on this trip. Because why not. I am still blown away by this, and yeah...I don't know. I had to share with someone haha, so why not the Vizzed community? ;P

Cambodia, eh? Yeah, I've always wanted to visit Phnom Penh and its outskirts, so I'm a tad jealous of you.

You don't have a passport? Why not?

I have had instances where we were going on a trip to other cities and some couldn't afford the costs, so the school covered that. It's really amazing to see such generosity.

I know it's in the distant future, but i hope you have fun!

Hope you will be able to go and get your passport. However, if you have girl classmates or close friends that are girls that are going. They will need to watch their backs and not travel alone or get separated from the group. Cambodia is one of the worst places for girls to be captured and sold as sex slaves to other countries. Lot of girls that are targeted are foreign white girls. I'm not trying to scare you are you classmates. But I feel like I needed to share this as it could save the lives of your classmates. 

Is this a school or church sponsored trip. If it is hopefully it will be in the safe spots

I think you should be able to go! Cambodia is a unique place and it deserves to be explored by more people. I hope that you are able to go and have fun on the trip. You are especially lucky to have your deposits covered like wow. I wish I can go!

I'm sure you'll be very safe with your class, so don't let what other people say worry you, just be safe.

It's so great some person covered the deposit for you! What an act of kindness.

I'm sure you'll have a blast. Things are inexpensive down there, so it's a good place to visit. Also the food should be pretty good, especially if you like seafood.
