What is your favorite retro console?
Actually playing the game, not a ROM of it.

My favorite retro console has to be the classic NES. It basically single-handedly revived video games after the crash of 1983. And for that, it deserves a lot of praise and recognition for where video games are today.

Although I am sold to Square Enix, I still prefer the Sega Genesis.

I inherited my father's large hands and the Genesis controller was just what I needed. The SNES controller, despite being more complete with its fourth button, was too small to be handled comfortably.  For further generations the PSX controller (the further I've been was PS 2) was adequate.

I would say my favorite retro console would be the super nintendo. It has a great and large variety of games. Most of my favorite games are played on it when it comes to super mario and donkey kong country. I also loved sim city, and several other amazing hits. I still have one of my original systems and play it from time to time. I don't play as often as I wish, but I love having it.

NES for me. Still hooked up to the TV and played. But I'd put the SNES not far behind it (also hooked up to the TV and used).

It's tough between the Atari 2600 and NES but the NES wins barely for me I suppose. Only because I got quite good at playing a few games with my feet. At least player 2. lol Playstation I can't count because that's light years ahead for me compared to anything I'd ever played before it.

Easy. Dreamcast. But since you're not including the Dreamcast, I'll pick the Playstation. Although, the Nintendo NES is right up there.

Mine is the PS1. I grew up with it. Loved it to pieces. The only problem was that I didn't have very many games for it as a kid. That's why I'm now making up for it as an adult. Buying me some games that I never played as a kid and adding them to my PS1 collection. Good thing I did. I would have never played Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy VII had I not decided to try some of the most recommended PS1 games of all time.I love the PS1 cases. The glass, the black spine, the cover, the blurb; I think it all looks great ad really enhances a shelf, or display case.

Ironically, I've been making these posts so that I can rack up some Viz to play PS1 games on here ^-^'

The PlayStation is my favourite retro console, with my current favourite game for the system being Duke Nukem: Time to Kill.
God, the amount of time I spent with that game throughout my life.

I would have to say Super Nintendo. It's one of the only older systems I owned growing up. My favorite games would probably range from Super Mario and Donkey Kong. I remember the Super Nintendo was all I used to play until I got introduced to PC games. I wouldn't trade those years I played it for anything though.

Hands down, I'm a Playstation guy. I think this is mostly because all the games I have beaten were on Playstation (for the most part). But, if I had to go back further, then SNES would be the next in line, followed by Sega Genesis.
