This Game Guide is designed to provide insight into all of the elements that are found throughout this game. There is a pretty intense story line that follows the plot of this game and if you're a player who doesn't want to read spoilers, this guide is not designed for you. Most of, if not all of, the information provided on this page will contain many spoilers. The actual game will begin after the Introduction Section, in which the guide is designed to follow the game all the way until the end. Most spoilers will be listed in the Character parts of the Introduction. The information provided in the character section is found both in the game and from external sources. Some characters have so little information regarding their existence that they're only a name in the game. Other spoilers relate entirely to the True Runes, in which there are so few details about specific Runes that these details were also acquired from an external source. All of the game play is my own work, generated out of memory from having played and finished this game multiple times over the years. These details have been checked for accuracy.

Each section of this guide will contain several parts and a lot of information to read through. The length of the game is actually quite short and can be finished in full within 8 hours if you are very experienced. This might not seem to be the case due to long scenes and talking scenes but that's for the purpose of following along with the story. The entire story may have some minor changes if you were to replay the game differently a second time through. Depending on the results of your game effects it's ending and may change what happens after the game has ended. In order to complete the game 100% you will need to obtain all 108 Stars of Destiny. If you complete the Suikoden game with all 108 Stars of Destiny, you'll be able to load your data for Suikoden 2. Loading data from Suikoden 1 to Suikoden 2 will result in some dialogue changes and some additions are made to Suikoden 2. These additions will not be shared in this guide and may be found in Suikoden 2 game guide if I decide to make that game guide.

Like all Game Guides and Walk-through made by me, I like to use color to represent each of the important sections and highlight these sections and parts differently. Red is used to highlight each section. Green is used to highlight each part. Light Blue is used to highlight characters and other listed objects. Yellow will be used to highlight mini-games. Orange will be used to highlight boss fights.

II. Introduction
III. Runes
IV. Story
V. Characters
VI. Secrets

A large part of the Introduction is taken from external sources from Suikoden Sources outside Vizzed and the Suikoden Rom. None of these lines have been plagiarized and have been molded based on hidden stories about the Suikoden series you can't normally find by playing the game. The Introduction is to serve as a beginning point leading up to the events that take place in the game and are not apart of any Suikoden series game made to date.

Also, my Story section does not contain many of the Characters listed in the Character section. If you are looking to play the game and find all the Characters, you'll be able to play the game following the Character section only. There are enough details provided there to tell you when characters become available to be recruited. Think of the Character section as a simpler version of the story section. All characters are listed in order of when they join, except a few special characters like Pahn, who leaves your party and returns later.

Introduction
The Scarlet Moon Empire was established several hundred years ago after their rebellion from the Harmonian Empire. For hundreds of years, the Rugner line has maintained the Empire passing the right to rule from father to oldest son. A former Harmonian treasure and True Rune, Sovereign Rune, is passed down when a new Emperor is chosen for the empire. The royal Rugner bloodline lead to a great civil war, bleeding it's people dry of their faith in the empire and royal bloodline. The War of Succession broke out for control over the Scarlet Moon Empire between 2 of the Rugner royalty. Geil Rugner and Barbarosa Rugner warred over ownership of the empire. With the aid of powerful military strategists and generals, Barbarosa won the war and ended the crisis. In this act he killed his brother and enemy to the Scarlet Moon Empire. Ultimately, the war left the country weakened and vulnerable. This marked the beginning to the empire-wide decline.

One year after the war, Kalekka was ransacked and it's people, massacred in an attempt to turn it's people against it's rival, the City-State of Jowston. The death of Barbarosa's wife, Claudia, marked the start to a new found aspiration for a woman named Windy. Bearing a remarkable resemblence to Barbarosa's late wife, allowed Windy to exert undue influence over Barbarosa and the Empire. The Scarlet Moon Empire began a downward spiral into corruption as Barbarosa lessened his interest in political affairs. A weakened country and leader paved a path to the foundation of the Liberation Army in an attempt to overthrow Barbarosa and end the Rugner rule. The empire infiltrated the Liberation Army to repeatedly stagger their growth and shut down their operations. Many hideouts were destroyed but the will of it's leader, Odessa Silverburg, continued to burn.

The war brought fame and fortune to the generals and military strategists who served with Barbarosa. Their victory over Geil Rugner created the 6 Great Generals. The military strategists disappeared after the end of the Succession War, to try and live quiet lives. One of the generals, Teo McDohl, is among the most formidable men with his indestructible armored cavalry. Teo is often sent to the border to prevent attacks from the City-State of Jowston. Due to his fame and strength, Teo owns a mansion in the heart of the Scarlet Moon capital, Gregminster.

When the game begins, you assume the role over Teo's son (Nameable however you like) inside the Palace in Gregminster. You're moments away from meeting with Windy and Barbarosa to become a soldier for the Empire and follow in Teo's footsteps to make a name for yourself. While at the Palace you discover that arrogant Commander Kraze is in charge of you. He assigns you your missions and talks down to you. After your lovely talk with your new commander, you will go home to Teo's mansion where you'll meet with Teo's servants and your friends.

All About These Magical Runes
"In the beginning, there was darkness. Then finally, the darkness shed a tear. From that tear, the brothers Sword and Shield were born. Sword bragged that he can cut anything. Shield replied that he could protect anything, then the brothers began a legendary battle for seven days and seven nights. At the end, Sword cut Shield and Shield smashed Sword. Sword became the sky, Shield became the earth, and the sparks from the battle became the stars. And the jewels that adorn Sword and Shield became the True Runes--
The runes that all other runes were born from." -Suikoden

In Suikoden there are only 2 major differences in the use of Runes; True Runes are the most powerful of all runes while Runes contain a little power of what a True Rune is capable of. I am actually going to split these differences into 3 levels of Rune; True Runes, Parent Runes and Runes. True Runes are the highest class of rune with immeasurable magical strength and often a will of their own. These runes often defend themselves and take on other shapes or forms, like a reincarnation created by the rune itself. True Runes contain the most powerful magic of their type, usually with 4 powers that summons massive power to be used as an effect or commit damage. These runes also grant immortality from aging. Parent Runes are the 2nd highest class of rune. These runes are lesser powerful versions of True Rune and are difficult to find. These runes usually contain 4 levels of power that is 1 step below the True Runes. Some Parent Runes may not have multiple powers and instead may only have 1 effect. Runes are the weakest form of all Runes. These runes contain 1 step below Parent Runes in terms of their strength. These runes are very common and very numerous. Some of these runes come in the form of an effect or a single ability, as opposed to having 4 different powers.

Runes with multiple powers have a set number of times they can be used based on the character's magical strength. The highest strength power will always have less uses than the 2nd power. The 2nd power will always have more uses than the 3rd power and so forth. Runes with a single ability or effect will usually never have a limit to the number of times you can use them. Runes with multiple powers are best used by characters with a higher magical aptitude than characters who do not. This allows you to have more powers to use in the long run and due to their considerable dealt damage, will often be more powerful than the character. Runes with a single ability or effect are best used by characters with less magical aptitude and generally excel in combat strength. Some characters are well rounded and might be equal in both aspects. This can be entirely up to you for most characters.

There are 27 True Runes in the world of Suikoden where each governs a specific aspect of the world. Some Runes allow the existence of certain life while other Runes relate more to natural worldly things. These Runes sustain balance and only 1 of each can be found and acquired. When True Runes are lost by the death of the True Rune bearer, these Runes will sometimes choose a new host or move somewhere waiting to choose a new host.

List of True Runes
Soul Eater - "Rune of Life and Death". This rune was originally kept in the Village of the Hidden Rune by Ted's grandfather and was passed down to Ted after the village had been conquered by Windy, Yuber and Neclord. Ted was advised to hide away from the world to prevent the Soul Eater from being taken by Windy. This led Ted to living alone for 300 years until he met Teo on the War of Succession battlefield. Teo brought Ted home. McDohl became Ted's new family. Windy discovers Ted and pursues Ted for his Soul Eater rune. With no other options left, Ted passes the True Rune onto McDohl right before Ted dies.

Sovereign Rune - Formerly a jewel of the Harmonian Empire housed in what is now Gregminster, Barbarosa acquires this rune as a family heirloom embedded into his Dragon King Sword. The rune grants immunity from all other runes, including Windy's Black Rune and allows it's bearer to transform into a 3 headed dragon who is the final boss of the Suikoden game. Upon being defeated, Barbarosa and Windy jump from the balcony of the Palace in Gregminster and disappear, presumably died in the fall.

Gate Rune - Originally protected by the Gate Rune Clan in an effort to prevent this Rune from falling into the wrong hands, the Rune was split into 2 parts. 2 parts were given to 2 women, Windy and Leknaat. The split rune is only half as powerful as it would be if the 2 halves were merged together.

Night Rune - Governs the existence of Zombies, Skeletons and Vampites. Although the Night Rune does not make an actual appearance in the game, you do discover the manefestation of the Night Rune in the form of the Zodiac Sword. Working entirely of it's own free will, the Star Dragon Sword (Zodiac Sword), chooses it's "master". It is not known whether or not the Star Dragon Sword is in fact the Night Rune. I theorize that there is someone outside this game who owns the power of the Night Rune.

Dragon Rune - Owned by Joshua Levenheit leader of the Dragon Knights. This Rune is used as a symbol of the Dragon Knights. The existence of this Rune allows Dragons to exist. Whenever a new leader is chosen to lead the Dragon Knights, the rune is passed on.

Eightfold Rune - Owned by Yuber, a man of many mysteries. The Rune is largely a mystery but it's speculated that the Rune grants it's bearer the ability to teleport and summon monsters or beings. The use of this Rune is largely related to war but is never mentioned, despite it's mysterious use.

List of Runes
Boar Rune - Pahn owns one of these Runes at the start of the game. These can be found in drops by Death Boar and in a Chest found in the Hidden Rune Village. Rune is used by characters who fight with their bare fists. Usually, characters fighting with their bare fists excel at hand to hand combat instead of magical combat.

Champion Rune - Rune can be purchased in Warrior's Village and found in a Chest in the Hidden Rune Village. Rune allows it's bearer to ignore battles with enemies you can "Let go". Use of this rune is best for dungeons you've already visited but haven't fully explored. This Rune may be best for any character you don't like to use but would use to prevent combat.

Clone Rune - Must be found on Mt. Tigerwolf in a Chest. Rune works exactly like the Boar Rune except it's designed for Sword users. Some Sword users are not very skilled in magic and makes the Clone Rune very useful. I generally give this Rune to Viktor.

Counter Rune - Rune can be found in a Chest in Lepant's Mansion or sold at the Forest Village. The Rune's use allows the bearer to increase their counterattack ability. This allows high attack/skilled characters to use this Rune more than others. This is the only effect of the Rune.

Cyclone Rune - The Parent Rune to the Wind Rune can be dropped by Sunshine King in the Dragon's Den. This can also be found in the a Chest in Seek Valley. Cyclone Rune is a powerful Rune that commits damage and can heal allies. It's a very useful healing Rune when given to a powerful magic character.

Double Beat Rune - Equipped to Eikei, can be removed and used by any character without a fixed rune. This Rune is a very useful rune that can not be found and has a big drawback. This Rune allows it's bearer to attack twice in a single turn, which can cause twice the critical hits. At the same time, you take double damage if counterattacked. Having used this Rune, you can eliminate enemies quickly providing the bearer is powerful and doesn't get countered often.

Earth Rune - Easily the least useful Rune in the game, does a varierty of support and attack. Although the damage is considerable and very useful, the Clay Guardian magic does not actually improve defense. Rune can be obtained in a Rikon Shop and is dropped by Creeper in the Scarleticia area.

Falcon Rune - There is only 1 Falcon Rune like the Double Beat Rune. This rune has no drawbacks when used and it's only used by Valeria. The Rune does 300% attack power and will never cause an unbalanced state.

Fire Rune - Easily a popular Rune to use due to it's powerful offensive magic aimed at many enemies. Fire Rune can be bought at the Shop in Kirov, given to you by Leknaat on Magician's Island and dropped by Kobold in the Pannu Yakuta area. Originally, Leknaat gives you this rune to give to Cleo who has a good grasp on magic. I often replace other magics with the Fire Rune to subdue larger groups of enemies in less time.

Flowing Rune - The Parent of the Water Rune, provides the unique ability to revive fallen allies during battle. The Flowing Rune is largely used as a healing rune to protect the party from falling. Rune can be acquired through a chest in the Cave of the Past or by drop from Sirens in the Shasarazada Fortress.

Fortune Rune - Can be purchased in Kirov or dropped by Magus in Moravia Castle. Can also be found in Saraday if alone and haven't already obtained the Properity Rune. This unique Rune, very expensive at that, will grant the bearer double the experience. Very useful for building character's levels.

Gale Rune - Unlike the other speed runes, this rune grants double speed in Combat so that the wearer will most likely strike first when attacking. This Rune is only found in Pannu Yakuta in a Chest.

Hate Rune - Exactly like the Falcon Rune where this Rune is only used and worn by Ronnie Bell. This Rune also commits 300% attack damage without going into unbalanced.

Hazy Rune - Can be bought in Kobold Village or found in Toran Castle Basement in a Chest. This rune grants the bearer the ability to evade physical attacks more often. Naturally speedy characters set with this rune will have a high level of evasion.

Holy Rune - Like the Gale Rune, this Rune grants an increase in speed except that this Rune only allows you to Dash around Towns and Dungeons at increased speed. You have a tiny chance to find this Rune in a drop outside Gregminster and Seika areas or purchase the Rune from the shop in Kaku. Rune doesn't grant any combat advantages. This Rune is the child Rune to the True Holy Rune and is unique to this game with no appearance in any of the later games to date.

Killer Rune - Very useful Rune for characters with very high attack power that increases the rate at which Critical hits are earned. This Rune can be acquired in Teien or in a Chest the Dwarf Trail.

Lightning Rune - Powerful offensive elemental Rune that is best used against single targets. Lightning Rune can be purchased in the Warrior's Village. Powerful magic characters can make great use of this Rune but some bosses are immune to Lightning.

Mother Earth Rune - Extremely useful Rune when using the Unite Magic combined with other elemental Runes. The highest order of magic is broken and does not increase defense when defending against attacks but this can be used in United Magical attacks. The other magics commit damage and some support. This Rune is the parent of the Earth Rune. Can be obtained by Chest in Moravia Castle or dropped from Colossus in Gregminster Palace.

Phero Rune - Rare Rune that is very difficult to obtain. Beast Commander in Seika area is the only way to obtain the Rune with low drop rate. Pheros Rune is a Rune of affection and love. This mysterious Rune helps to make enemies of the opposite sex protect the Rune Bearer. Little information is known about this Rune and it is very unpredictable.

Prosperity Rune - Automatically doubles the income from combat with enemies. Multiple Prosperity Runes further increase the profit from battle.  This is the most expensive Rune in the game and can only be found in 2 ways. This Rune can be dropped by Siren in the Kalekka area or if you speak to the Villager in Sarady Village with Ted.

Rage Rune - The Parent Rune to the Fire Rune. Like the Fire Rune, this Rune offers a more powerful group attack for even more damage. One Chest in Neclord's Castle is hidden quite well below the stairs at the top of the Castle. You can also acquire the Rage Rune from Elite Soldier in Moravia Castle.

Resurrection Rune - With the unique Holy ability that deals extra damage to the Undead, Vampires/Skeletons/Zombies. Like the Flowing Rune's ability to revivem Resurrection Rune has Yell which can revive a single ally. Resurrection magic effects single and multiple targets. It's healing abilities are powerful. In order to obtain this Rune you'll need to defeat Whip Wolf in the Lorimar region.

Shrike Rune - Unique Rune where only female Ninja are capable of learning. Kasumi is the only Ninja who can use this Rune. Upon using the Rune, double damage is inflicted on the enemy and there are no real drawbacks from using this Rune.

Sound Rune - Although not a legitimate Rune, this is a key item to recruit one of the 108 Stars of Destiny. Obtained in a Chest in Kalekka.

Spark Rune - Unique Rune that increases the speed of your allies to match the bearer's speed but only if they have less speed. This provides all your allies the opportunity to attack at the same time. Only place this can be found is Scarleticia Castle.

Thunder Rune - Like the Rage Rune, this is the advanced Lightning Rune that provides a powerful magic to inflict damage to all enemies. This Rune can be found in the Shasarazada Fortress in a Chest or by defeating Simurgh in the area surrounding Gregminster when you're invading the Palace at the end of the game.

Trick Rune - Unique Rune for the use of Tricksters only, meaning, only Juppo can use the Rune. It inflicts 1.5 the normal damage when used on one enemy.

True Holy Rune - Owned by Stallion. Parent rune to the Holy rune but is not a True Rune. This rune grants a speed bonus while roaming on the world map. There is only 1 Rune in the game.

Turtle Rune - Protective Rune designed to prevent any harmful conditions or ailments for the one with this Rune. In this case, you can prevent unbalance when using unites and allow you to use unites without any issues or limitations. This Rune can be bought in the Dwarf Village.

Water Rune - The child version of the Flowing Rune that uses several healing properties. Rune can be bought in Saraday or Seika and is dropped from Dagon in Kalekka area.

Wind Rune - The child version of the Cyclone Rune with mixed abilities of support and offensive magic. This rune is capable of healing a single ally, inflicting damage on multiple enemies and using the seemingly useless sleep magic. The Rune can be bought in Kobold Village, found in Toran Castle Basement and dropped from Demon Sorceror.

Window Rune - Although not an actual Rune, you will need to acquire this Rune in order to convince Window to join your 108 Stars of Destiny.
********
In order to equip a rune to a character, you will need to visit a rune shop. You will need to have the crystal in your inventory in order to attach the rune to your character. If your character has a removable rune, you can attach the rune to the character and the rune they have equipped will be sent into your inventory.

Story
At Teo's Mansion, you meet Pahn, Cleo, Ted and Gremio who are all waiting anxiously for your return from the Palace. After everyone settles down, you'll want to head upstairs to your room on the left. You'll speak with Ted for a short time then dinner will be ready. Head to the large room with the dinner table and some speaking scenes happen. At this time you discover Teo is being sent North to watch the Northern border due to enemy movements. After you wake up you'll need to gather everyone and head to the Palace. Inside the Palace you'll be assigned your first mission. You are required to head north to Magician's Island via Dragon Knight. You will need to speak to the woman in charge of the astrological report and bring them back to Commander Kraze. You can find the Dragon Knight in the Northeast corner of the city. You'll need to head outside the main Palace and to the right to see a black dragon and dragon knight. When you speak to Futch, you'll be taken to the island.

Magician's Island
When you arrive on the island, Futch will wait for you on the beach. You'll need to head north to reach the tower but you'll be stopped by Luc before you reach the tower. You'll engage Clay Guardian in a boss fight. When you defeat the Clay Guardian, you'll need to climb the tower. At the top of the large tower, you'll meet Lady Leknaat who foresees a destiny you will be fulfilling. With this prediction you'll be given the report and a Fire Crystal because of Cleo's magical aptitude. Luc will teleport your party back to the beach where Futch is waiting. You will immediately be sent back to Gregminster.

Gregminster
At Gregminster, you'll need to submit the report to Commander Kraze. When you submit the report, he'll immediately assign you a new mission. Your mission is to head East to the town of Rockland and investiage why they haven't been paying their taxes. This time, Kanaan will escort you on this mission. He isn't involved in any fighting, just tagging along.

Rockland
When you arrive at Rockland you'll need to head North to the highest part of the village. At the top of the village is Grady's Mansion. When you enter the Mansion you'll speak with Grady about the lack of taxes being sent to Gregminster. You learn that the village hasn't been paying taxes, despite their success, due to the recent bandits who moved in on the nearby mountain. They've been raiding the village. At this point you'll need to climb Mt. Seifu which is located further East of Rockland.

Mt. Seifu
When you climb Mt. Seifu, you'll encounter 2 boss fights. The first boss fight, Queen Ant, will decimate your party. There is absolutely no way to defeat the Queen Ant. Instead, when you lose the fight, Ted will come to the rescue. Ted has been concealing the Soul Eater True Rune. He uses the rune to destroy the Queen Ant and allows the party to continue further into the mountain. Kanaan starts mumbling to himself that he needs to take this information back to Gregminster. When you reach the end, you'll confront the bandits, who will attack in 2 waves. The first wave is a group of 6 ordinary bandits. The second wave is a battle against Varkas and Sydonia. After you defeated the bandits, you'll capture them and quickly climb down Mt. Seifu. You will need to return to Rockland.

Rockland
At Rockland, you'll hand the bandits over to Grady in the mansion. He rewards you a fair bit of money that Kanaan keeps to himself. He then takes the bandits and strings them up to die from starvation or dehydration for all the village to see. After you've completed the conversation with Grady you'll need to head back to Gregminster.

Gregminster
As soon as you arrive at Gregminster, Kanaan will report to Commander Kraze on your behalf allowing everyone to get their much deserved rest. Kanaan asks Ted to tag along with him, so he does. Your party will head back to the Mansion to relax for awhile. A nice downpour as started outside. You find Ted laying at the base of the door in the Mansion, soaked from the rain and blood. After taking Ted inside, Pahn will leave to get medicine for Ted. When Ted wakes up, he'll ask for you to come to his side and do him a favor. That is, he hands you the Soul Eater and tells you about Windy and what happened. At the Palace, Windy has Ted and tries to take the Soul Eater rune by force. Ted escapes though, but almost at the cost of his life. He asks you to protect the rune from Windy and never let her get her hands on it. When Pahn returns, Imperial Soldiers appear with him at the front door asking for Ted. Ted offers himself so that your party can escape through the back door in the kitchen. When you leave, you'll need to head over to the INN where Marie will give you a room for the night.
In the morning you'll meet Marie and several Imperial Soldiers. They're tired and it's looking like you're about to fight them when Viktor steps in and saves your party. He leaves, without paying for his food, and heads north of the INN. You'll need to speak with Viktor to get out of Gregminster. He decides that he will help if you meet a friend of his in Lenankamp. You have no choice but to agree. When you go to the entrance, Viktor will pay off the guard with Gremio's wallet. This allows you to head south to find Lenankamp.

Lenenkamp
When you arrive at Lenankamp, Viktor will run on ahead to speak to his friend and disappears. In the north end, but kind of center, is an INN that you'll need to go to. When you arrive at the INN you'll be given a special room for being a friend of Viktor. Sometime later, Imperial Soldiers bust into the INN suspecting runaways have been spotted here. With no where to turn you're only chance would be to fight, except that an opening appears beneath the clock in the room. This is where you discover the Liberation Army's hideout. You meet Odessa Silverburg, Flik, Viktor, Humphrey and Sanchez around a table. When speaking to Odessa you learn about what they do and that their hideouts have been compromised due to a spy in their network. Leader of the Liberation Army, Odessa, takes a liking to you and entrusts you to accompany her to Saraday in the Northwest. After the conversation ends, Viktor and Odessa join your party.

Mt. Tigerwolf
Heading Northwest of Lenankamp and west of Gregminster you'll need to cross a bridge to reach Mt. Tigerwolf. In this first part, you'll cross over the mountain and eventually reach a random tavern (Tea Shop?). With having pushed so hard already, your party is tired and decides to stop at the Tea Shop. Without suspecting anything, Ledon gives your party Robber's Tea and poisons your group. When Kessler, his boss, arrives at the Tea Shop, he notices Odessa is the leader of the Liberation Army and immediately demands Ledon make an antidote to fix his mistake. After everyone is remedied you'll sleep before you head out again. When you leave, you'll need to continue to head north to reach the small village of Saraday.

Saraday
In Saraday, you'll need to locate the INN, which is in the Southeast corner of the village. When you stay the night you can speak with Odessa who opens up to you. While talking, she hears something but discovers it's Kage who came to Saraday to acquire the Fire Spear blueprints. After he leaves, you can sleep. When you wake up you'll need to head back to Lenankamp to report in with the hideout.

Lenankamp
After you arrive at the INN in Lenankamp, Odessa discovers that the INN has been attacked and the Hideout is under attack. You head downstairs chasing after Odessa. You fight a few soldiers and you find Odessa at the southern end of the hideout protecting a child from the attack. When Odessa admits she's been mortally wounded she requests you to do 2 things for her. First she wants you to take her earring and give it to a man named Mathiu Silverburg. The second thing she requests is that you toss her body into the flowing water so that the burning desire to keep the Liberation Army alive, will continue to burn. Her trust goes to McDohl to build the Liberation Army as it's new leader. With no other choice, you have to toss Odessa into the river. At this point, you decide to continue south through the gate of Kwaba Fortress.

Kwaba Fortress
At the gates of Kwaba Fortress, you decide on new identities for each of the characters in your party. When you speak to Ain Gide, general in charage of the armies stationed at the Fortress, he realizes who you are but allows you to pass anyway. It appears despite Ain Gide's loyalty to the Empire, Ain held his friendship with Teo McDohl higher than his duties and ultimately saved the lives of his son and party. Directly south of Kwaba is the village of Seika.

Seika
In this town you'll find Mathiu in the Mansion to the northeast. Speaking to him results in his refusal to have anything to do with the Empire. You'll then need to leave. When you leave his mansion, your party will speak to each other and Imperial Soldiers will storm by you seeking Mathiu. Looking like trouble you chase after them. At the mansion, Mathiu refuses to have anything to do with the Empire despite having previously worked with Scarlet Moon before. When the soldiers are going to take Mathiu anyway, your party fights off the Imperial Soldiers. This is when Mathiu realizes he will have to support a side in the coming war, so he chooses to side with you because his sister, Odessa, saw something in you. Mathiu proceeds to evaluate the situation and states that you'll need a new headquarters, something larger. In the center of Lake Toran sits an abandoned castle, infested by monsters. He tells you to clear out the Castle. Heading southeast, you'll come to the small town of Kaku, which rests on the coast of Lake Toran.

Kaku
With no way to cross the river, you proceed to speak to a man named Tai ho and his brother Yam Koo, who are both fishermen. Despite the fact that the castle is infested and very dangerous, he proceeds to challenge you to a dice game (Chinchirorin). If you win 5000 bits from Tai Ho, he'll sail you to the castle, stating that the luck of the dice is on your side. When you win the money, he takes your gang to Toran Castle. At this time, you'll also speak to Camille who came to Kaku in search for Gremio to collect the debt he still owed to the INN at Gregminster. Although Gremio is broke, Viktor convinces Camille to join until the debt can be paid off.

Toran Lake Fortress
When you arrive at the foggy castle, you'll recruit Tai Ho to accompany you inside the castle, seeking adventure. Yam Koo refuses to tag along and leave the boat behind with nobody to protect it. You enter into the castle from the dungeon and work your way up, battling monsters as you go. When you make your way up to the 3rd floor you'll need to descend to reach the Zombie Dragon at the main entrance of the Castle. The Zombie Dragon can be a powerful boss fight, so be ready. After defeating the Dragon, the fog clears and the castle becomes yours to name. In the next scene, everyone gathers together and converse. During the conversation Lady Leknaat appears with 2 gifts for you. Your first gift is the Stone Tablet of Promise allowing you to see all of the Stars of Destiny who have joined you. The other gift is the services of Luc, a powerful magician. When Leknaat disappears, Mathiu tells you of a man named Lepant in Kouan and that you need to recruit him. To the southeast of Kaku is the small town of Kouan.

Kouan
On the left side of the town is Lepant's mansion. When you try to get into the mansion, you'll speak to Giovanni who won't let you in. You'll need to go to the INN and speak to Krin who tells you that Lepant closes his doors so that he doesn't get involved with guys who defy the empire. Krin offers a plan to get into the mansion to steal the sword and after you've stolen the sword, he'll have no choice but to meet you. Krin sets up a rope leading to the top of the mansion to get in through a hole. At the start of the mansion leads you to a man named Rock, who you can recruit. He'll make a vault in your castle for you to store items/armor/appraisals when you need space on your characters. A little further in and you'll meet Juppo who confesses to be the creator of the dolls in a previous room and the large spinning wheel in the next room. When you enter the next room, you'll play a sort of mini-game with rewards and disadvantages. When it finally lands on the opposite side, you'll be able to grab the sword and leave.

When you return to the INN, you'll speak to Krin who offers to brew you some tea. Your party isn't foolish enough to fall for that old trick so you have Krin drink the tea. Lepant charges into the INN demanding his sword. When you state Mathiu is involved, Lepant calms down and asks for his sword back, refusing to join in the war. Giovanni enters the INN stating that Lepant's wife Eileen had been captured by the new military commander. Lepant charges off to confront the commander and you follow after. After Lepant takes down several Imperial Soldiers, you'll join in to aid Lepant in his fight (Even though he'll appear in the back). When you defeat all of the soldiers you'll confront Commander Kraze on the second floor. As a last resort Commander Kraze calls in Pahn, thinking Pahn's loyalty to the empire will save Kraze but Pahn's heart aches and he pushes Kraze away from Eileen. You get to decide whether or not to kill Kraze or let him go. Afterwards, you'll be able to speak to Pahn and Lepant who will both join you in your war. You'll need to head to your Castle now that Lepant has joined.

Liberation Army Headquarters
After you return to your castle, you'll need to go up the stairs and meet Varkas and Sydonia for the second time. This time, they came to your headquarters to join the Liberation Army and lend a hand. Mathiu intervenes when they ask about Odessa and offers a feast for all of the new arrivals to the Liberation Army. During the feast, however, McDohl is attacked by an assassin. Easy to defeat, Gremio and Pahn fight over who is guarding the "young master". The next day, you'll want to head to the main entrance in front of the castle where you'll discover the elf Kirkis, soaked and nearly collapsed. After bringing Kirkis into the castle, he demands to speak to the Leader of the Liberation Army about an urgent matter. Kwanda Rosman is building the Burning Mirror, stolen dwarf technology, to obliterate the elves. Knowing this is a matter or urgency, you're sent out to help the elves in any way you can. To the southeast of Kaku and Kouan is the Forest Village, where you'll need to head to.

Great Forest Village/Kobold Village
On the East side of the village is the entrance to the forest leading you toward the Elves village. In the town, you'll need an elf, Kirkis, to travel through the forest. Without an elf you'll go back to the beginning of forest. About halfway through the forest you'll meet Viki who has not quite mastered the art of teleportation (Later known as Blinking Magic). She can teleport you to any location you previously visited (Except in the Gregminster area). On the other end of the forest you'll arrive at the Kobold Village, which has been abandoned by the Kobold race. When you leave the village, you'll need to head south and to the east a little.

Village of the Elves
In the Village of the Elves, you'll need to speak to the Elder Elf in the house in the back of the village. This leads to your party being imprisoned in the dungeon. While in the dungeon, you'll speak with a woman named Valeria and a female elf Sylvina, who frees you but doesn't join you. Your only hope of saving the Elves is to speak with the Dwarves in the Dwarf Village. To the Northeast of the Elf Village is the Dwarf Trail, that you'll need to climb to reach the Dwarf Village. When you pass the Trail, the Village is directly to the north.

Village of the Dwarves
On the left side of the Village (Kinda in the middle left), you will find the Dwarf Elder home. You'll need to speak to the elder about the Burning Mirror and tell them that Kwanda Rosman stole the blueprints. The Dwarf elder doesn't believe you, but he sends you on a time consuming mission to steal another blueprint. The vault to the blueprint is north of the Dwarf Village. The Vault is a dungeon with a few puzzles. When you acquire the blueprint you'll need to return the blue print to the Dwarf Elder to prove it's possible to steal from the Dwarves. After speaking with the Dwarf Elder you'll need to head back to the Elf Village. When you reach a certain point on Dwarf Trail, you'll see the forest is burning in the background. You were too late in saving the Elf village. When you reach the Burnt Village of the Elves, you'll need to retreat back to your castle.

Kobold Village
To get back home you'll need to travel through the Kobold Village. When you arrive, Kuromimi, wandering Kobold who you met when you first came to the village will fight with your party to protect against the invasion of Imperial Soldiers. Several battles occur before your army arrives forcing the Imperial Soldiers to retreat to Panny Yakuta. The Liberation Army arrives alongside Mathiu just in time to save you and your party. At this time, the Liberation Army has formed a sizeable army to combat the lesser garrisoned region of the Scarlet Moon Empire, Pannu Yakuta.

Pannu Yakuta
Tucked away in the Southeastern corner of the region, you'll lead the battle against Kwanda Rosman. When you defeat his army, Kwanda will resort to using the Burning Mirror to eliminate all of your army. After Mathiu tells the army to scramble to minimize losses, the Dwarves use another weapon to destroy the Burning Mirror. At this time, you'll need to form a party to infiltrate the Fortress. This leads you to a boss fight against a Dragon. The Dragon is defeated before you encounter Kwanda Rosman. At this time, you'll enter into a duel against leaders and you'll win. Although urged to execute Kwanda, the Black Rune given by Windy, melts and Kwanda regains himself no longer under Windy's control. Kwanda will join you if you choose to accept him in your Liberation Army.

Liberation Army Headquarters
After your victory over Pannu Yakuta, you'll speak with Flik who was second in command of the Liberation Army before you assumed Odessa's role. Angered by Odessa's death, Flik leaves for Kaku to cool off. Humphrey and Sanchez also rejoined the Liberation Army for the battle at Pannu Yakuta. You'll need to visit Flik in Kaku.

Kaku
Flik is in one of the houses with guards outside his door. Speaking to him will help him realize that he needs to continue to work with the Liberation Army and eventually cools down. He wants to be the Leader of the Liberation Army and you'll have to agree with him. Doing so leads Flik back to the Liberation Army Headquarters.

Liberation Army Headquarters/Battle at Garan Fortress/Battle at Scarleticia Castle
At this time Flik proceeds with his plan for the next attack at Garan Fortress, west of Kouan. He gets everyone ready for the battle and the battle begins. This battle is relatively easy and won't take long before it ends. After this war Flik proceeds to attack Milich Oppenheimer at Scarleticia Castle. Attacking the castle with any command suffers damage to the Liberation Army forces. Scarleticia Castle is protected by a poisonous flower and your army can't get close enough to attack. Mathiu sends your group in to investigate the surrounding area to see if you can find a way to destroy the flower.

Antei/Rikon/Teien
Antei, Rikon and Teien are the 3 towns in the surrounding area outside Scarleticia Castle. You'll need to vist each of the towns to discover the whereabouts of Liukan, master of medicine. Some important information is spread between each of these towns but you'll need to travel to Rikon in order to continue with the mission. In Rikon you'll need to board the boat on the river and travel the river southwest to a whirlpool. When you attempt to cross the whirlpool it will push you out and you'll need to travel back to Rikon. From Rikon you'll need to travel north to Teien where you'll meet Gen and Kamandol. Gen and Kamandol are neighbors/enemies/friends with a weird relationship. Both of these characters will work together to upgrade your boat so that you can cross whirlpools and reach Liukan's Hermitage. After carrying the heavy equipment to Rikon you'll be able to cross the whirlpool without a problem.

Liukan's Hermitage
As soon as you discover Liukan, Milich Oppenheimer flys in on the back of a red dragon and kidnaps Liukan. Milich takes Liukan to Soniere Prison. You'll need to return to your headquarters in order to proceed with the next part of your mission.

Liberation Army Headquarters
After you speak with Mathiu, he'll come up with a plan to recruit 2 talented scribes who can forged documents to enter Soniere Prison. He'll request you recruit Kimberly and Tesla who are both living in Antei.

Antei
In Antei, you'll need to speak to Albert and Kimberly. Albert is Tesla's fake name. When you speak to him he'll talk like he has no idea what you're saying but Viktor sees through the ruse and your party discovers he is actually Tesla. He's not entirely willing to join the Liberation Army but he does anyway. When you speak to Kimberly, she'll request a night alone with Flik because she finds him handsome. The next day, she'll join the Liberation Army and you'll need to return to your Headquarters.

Liberation Army Headquarters
Back in the Headquarters you'll need to speak to Mathiu again, who will have the forged documents ready for you. It seems they spent all night perfecting the documents so you can access Soniere Prison. You'll need to begin the rescue mission at Soniere.

Soniere Prison
At the prison you'll need to travel to the very bottom to find Liukan in a cell. While you're in the prison, I recommend you try to acquire an Opal Ring if you're looking to recruit Esmeralda. When you make it up to the top you'll meet Milich Oppenheimer, who was alerted by the old seal on one of the documents you forged. In the room you're at, Milich will throw a vial of man-eating spores onto the ground then quickly runs out of the room and locks the door. With no where to turn, Gremio pushes you into the vault guarding the dungeon and locks the vault. Gremio is eaten alive by the spores. A while passes and Mathiu appears at Soniere. Viktor takes Gremio's belongings before you leave.

Liberation Army Headquarters
Back in the Headquarters you'll need to speak with Mathiu again. Liukan has finished the antidote for the flowers at Scarleticia Castle so you'll be able to properly attack Milich. Mathiu will proceed with the attack if you're ready.

Battle at Scarleticia Castle
The battle shouldn't be too difficult. Milich likes to use more magic based attacks which is countered by Bow Attack without damage to the Liberation Army. After the battle you'll need to enter Scarleticia and burn the flowers. At the top you'll encounter Milich who, like Kwanda Rosman, is under the influence of the Black Rune. The Black Rune melts and Milich will join the Liberation Army if you allow him.

Liberation Army Headquarters
Some time passes after conquering Scarleticia Castle and Kasumi makes an appearance at the Headquarters. Kasumi brings news of Teo McDohl's forces destroying the Rokkaku region to the North and they're on their way to crush the Liberation Army. During your conversation with Kasumi, Teo's army appears on the shore near Kaku. Mathiu suggests a skirmish with Teo to assess the situation further.

Battle with Teo McDohl
Liberation Army brings the battle to Teo McDohl but his Armored Cavalry is too powerful for the Liberation Army and quickly ends the skirmish. Liberation Army retreats from the battle and Teo McDohl orders his forces to pursue the retreating Liberation Army. To buy some time, Pahn sacrifices himself in a 1 on 1 with Teo McDohl to buy the Liberation Army enough time to retreat.

*It is possible for Pahn to beat Teo McDohl in this duel. You will need to have recruited Meese from the Village of the Dwarves and upgraded Pahn's Weapon to lvl 9. You will need to have acquired the most powerful armor from any shop around Scarleticia Castle area. You should also increase Pahn's level by fighting monsters in Soniere Prison to get him up to about lvl 30 to 35 (This is mainly for the extra health)*

If Pahn is turned into a powerful warrior for this battle, you're likely to win the battle. Depending on Teo's dialogue, you will need to choose the correct option. Attacking a defended Teo earns a few damage on Teo. Attacking a Wild Attack will reward you with a large health loss. Most of the time you'll be able to defend long enough to counter the Wild Attack and decrease Teo's health enough to win the battle. If Pahn wins, he lives and Teo will let Pahn return to the Liberation Army (Even Pahn will be surprised that he won). If Pahn loses, he dies and he'll no longer be usable in your party. For the sake of 108 Stars of Destiny, you need Pahn to live.

Liberation Army Headquarters/Secret Factory
The attack on Teo McDohl was a major fail and everyone is somewhat depressed. Mathiu comes up with another plan. On the inscription of the Earring passed on from Odessa Silverberg before her death is the plans for the Fire Spear. At this time, you're sent on a mission to the Secret Factory in the north to acquire the Fire Spear. You'll need to travel by boat to Kirov (guarded by Whirlpool) in order to get to the northern region of the Scarlet Moon Empire.

Kirov/Kalekka/Secret Factory
When you arrive in this region you'll need to travel north to reach the Secret Factory. When you reach Kalekka, the destroyed town is filled with monsters and you'll need to battle your way through the town to reach the other end. On the other end you'll be able to travel further north to the Secret Factory. In the Secret Factory you'll discover Ronnie Bell, Mose, Kessler, Ledon and Kage who can all join the Liberation Army. Kessler and Ledon were previously bandits on Mt. Tigerwolf preying on travelers to make a living but they've always been supporters to the Liberation Army and they'll join if you allow it. Kage will join if you pay him a 20k bit contract. Mose and Ronnie have finished the Fire Spears and are willing to transport them if you can get enough boats for all of the Fire Spears they manufactured. Tai Ho has an idea and it requires you to visit Kirov once again.

In Kirov there's a man living in a mansion near the water who you'll need to speak to. Kun To has access to many boats which will be useful for transporting the Fire Spear to the Liberation Army. Kun To is a friend of Tai Ho and agrees to help. Ronnie Bell works to fill the boats with Fire Spears and they'll be sent to the Liberation Army Headquarters.

Liberation Army Headquarters/2nd Battle with Teo McDohl
When you return to the Headquarters you'll be ready to engage Teo McDohl again. During the battle with Teo McDohl, you'll quickly destroy Teo's Armored Cavalry. After the battle ends, you'll face Teo McDohl in a 2nd duel but this time it's McDohl vs McDohl. Like the battle with Pahn, you'll want to have increased weapon strength as high as possible as well as improved Teo's son's armor. When you engage the battle, it won't be too difficult to defeat Teo, whereas; the battle Pahn vs Teo was a little tougher. You can't lose against Teo because if you do, you lose the game and you'll need to load your saved data. After you win the fight, Teo will make a final request for Grenseal and Alen to join the Liberation Army and help you.

Liberation Army/Battle at Lorimar Fortress
After your victory with Teo McDohl, the Scarlet Moon Empire withdraws forces from the region surrounding Toran Lake Fortress. At this time, Mathiu suggests we pursue the Lorimar region. When your army arrives at Lorimar Fortress, it's empty. Your forces withdraw and Mathiu sends you into Lorimar Region to investigate. In the west is Warrior's Village.

Warrior's Village
When you reach the Warrior's Village you'll want to talk to the Chief who will welcome you to their village. After engaging in a long conversation you'll discover Tengaar is going to be taken by Neclord who eventually attacks the village. Your party will attack Neclord and you won't deal any damage to him because of the Night Rune he possesses. This causes your party to lose the battle and Tengaar is taken. When your party recovers you'll be told about the Buddhist Temple and you'll need to visit it.

Qlon Temple/Cave of the Past
Inside the Temple you'll want to talk to Fukien because he owns the Temple. He will tell you about the Cave of the Past hidden behind the Temple. Eventually he'll allow you into the Temple after a little bit of talking. You're going to need whatever is hidden at the end of the Cave in order to defeat Neclord. When you reach the end of the Cave you'll encounter the Star Dragon Sword who sends you into the past about 300 years. You arrive at your destination in the Village of the Hidden Rune, where the younger Ted lives. While in the village, it's attacked by Windy who wants the Soul Eater rune. The rune is passed off to Ted as the Village Chief confronts Windy. Ted comes with your party as you escape out the back. When the fires in the village have burned out, you tell Ted he must go on a journey to protect the Soul Eater so it'll never fall into Windy's hands. Ted must travel the world, alone, for a really long time. Afterwards, a light appears in one of the buildings and you can move to the present. Back with the Star Dragon Sword, he tells you he's a reincarnation of the Night Rune and his sole purpose is to destroy Vampires, Zombies and other undead. You will then need to travel back to the Warrior's Village.

Warrior's Village
When you arrive at the Warrior's Village you discover their people are attacking Neclord's Castle and quickly move out. You should prepare for Neclord's Castle before you leave and rest at the INN or buy any armor weapon upgrades you can. When ready, head for Neclord's Castle.

Neclord's Castle
When you arrive, the Warrior Village people are attempting to enter the castle but they can't come in because they're uninvited. The wedding with Tengaar is going to begin soon and your party with Hix is invited. You'll need to climb the castle dealing with many monsters and solving a few puzzles along the way. In order to pass the room with the paintings you'll need to look at each painting in order: Chestnut Tree (In the Forest), Girl in Early Afternoon (Not just at Night), Peasant Girl (During your work), King of the Night (Praise the King). "Master Neclord always tells us". When you reach the top of the Castle you'll finally encounter Neclord. In order to damage Neclord, Viktor will need to attack Neclord first with his Star Dragon Sword. When he hits Neclord you'll be able to attack Neclord with everyone and use any magic you have with you. He's a powerful boss fight but if you did a lot of training on the way up and used the hero's 3rd level magic on monster fights with 5 enemies, you'll easily evade a lot of damage and earn a lot of experience. After Neclord is defeated, you'll be able to return to the Warrior Village where Hix and Tengaar join you.

Liberation Army Headquarters
When you return to the Liberation Army Headquarters you'll need to speak with Mathiu once again. If I remember correctly, he says something about attempting to contact the Dragon Knights repeatedly but he's heard no word from them. In fact, the Dragon Knights have closed themselves off to the entire Toran Region. In response to the Dragon Knights' movements you're sent to investigate the Dragon Knights and see what's going on. In order to get to their region you'll need to head West of Scarleticia Castle (North of Lorimar Fortress).

Dragon's Den
In order to get into the Dragon's Den you'll need to visit the entrance and speak with the guard. At first, Humphrey thinks he'll be let through but this doesn't work out the way he thinks it will and instead, you'll need to visit Antei. In Antei there's a man named Vincent who you'll meet and you'll need to pay 200 bits for his meal over at the INN. When he leaves Antei he'll go to the Dragon's Den. You'll need to follow him to the Dragon's Den and he'll tell you about a secret passage. He'll open the secret passage but he doesn't join you. When you reach the end, you'll discover the Dragons are sleeping. You're found in the Dragon's Den and escorted to the Dragon Knights' Fortress.

Dragon Knights' Fortress
When you arrive at the Dragon Knights' Fortress you'll speak with Joshua who is the leader. He speaks of a famous master of medicine Liukan who might be able to help them but they don't know where to find him. When you're able to move, you'll need to use the "Blinking Mirror" if you acquired it from the INN at Teien. Blinking Mirror will warp you back to your Headquarters where you'll be able to switch a member of your party for Liukan. (It might be easier to just bring the old man with you). When Liukan is in your party, you'll need to use Viki's Blinking magic to teleport you to the Dragon Knights' Fortress (Assuming you agree to let Viki stay in your Castle when you were in the Great Forest between Kobold and Forest Village). When you speak to Joshua with Liukan, he'll get right to work. Liukan tells you he'll need several ingredients and to get them one at a time. The first ingredient is found only in Seek Valley. Milia joins your party and you fly on the back of her Red Dragon to Seek Valley.

Seek Valley
The monsters here are pretty powerful. You should make sure you have high level weapons, good choice of party and the best armor you can acquire. If you don't, this area might be quite challenging and you may die multiple times. You will encouter a pretty powerful boss right before you reach the end so be sure to save your game. When you reach the end you'll discover the ingredient and you'll encounter Windy (Who originally had something to do with the Sleeping Dragons poison). She'll try to take your Soul Eater rune by using Ted, who she kept alive during all this time. Ted is under the influence of her magic but that influence doesn't last long and while Ted has regained his conscienousness, he'll command the Soul Eater to eat his soul. In response to taking Ted's life, Windy will try to force the Rune off of you. Windy will be stopped by Gremio, Ted and Teo as a mysterious power within the Soul Eater. Windy retreats because the Soul Eater has rejected her. After she leaves you'll need to leave by flying on Milia's Red Dragon.

Dragon Knights' Fortress/Gregminster Palace
When you return to Joshua and Liukan, you'll discover Futch left for Gregminster to obtain the second ingredient, an Orchid that grows only at the top of the Gregminster Palace. You assume the role of Futch at this time and you'll need to grab one of the flowers. When you find it, Emperor Barbarosa will catch Futch but he only talks to him. Emperor Barbarosa finds out Windy is behind the Dragons and tells Futch to leave quickly before Windy returns. As soon as Futch leaves, Windy appears. She strikes Futch's Black Dragon. Futch survives and the Dragons are restored but Futch is concerned about Black. He finds out Black shield him from Windy's attack but he was already dead when they found Futch. They also tell Futch, after he asks about the last ingredient, that they had to use a Dragon's Liver, Black's Liver for the antidote. Because Futch no longer has a Dragon, he can no longer be a Dragon Knight. He offers Futch to the Liberation Army and he accepts this path. Milia continues to help the Liberation Army after this point.

Liberation Army Headquarters/Battle of Northern Checkpoint
When you return to your home, you discover there's a man waiting with Mathiu in the War Room. When you speak to him he tells you about his master Warren held captive in Kasim Hazil's Moravia Castle and a man named Viktor had been taken too. Viktor originally left for North Window Village to tell all his people about slaying Neclord because they were harassed by him. Viktor was on his way back from the Jowstone Region when he was captured by Kasim Hazil Imperial Forces. Mathiu suggests you run some training to make the soldiers better in combat but he launches a full scale assault on Northern Checkpoint with all the training equipment and takes them by surprise. The Liberation Army quickly overwhelms the Imperial Forces. Griffith surrenders to save his men. That's when Mathiu comes up with a plan for Moravia Castle using Griffith as a decoy for capturing Mathiu.

Moravia Castle
With Krin and Kasumi in your party you'll need to climb to the top of Moravia Castle while Mathiu is taken to Kasim Hazil. It doesn't take too long to get to the top but you'll meet Viktor and Warren in a cage. You'll free both of them and you'll be taken to the first floor of the Castle. During this time Mathiu and Kasim talk and Mathiu tries to convince Kasim to betray the Empire. If I'm not mistaken, Kasim agrees to join the Liberation Army when your party returns to the first floor of the castle. Mathiu's strategy works and you recruit Warren, his servant and Kasim Hazil without legitimately conquering Moravia Castle. Note: After you leave there are still some soldiers standing guard on the outside of the castle. I assume most forces had been defeated.

Liberation Army Headquarters
After conquering most of the country your next target is Shasarazade. When you speak to Mathiu in the War Room you'll want to be sure you don't want to acquire anymore Stars of Destiny as this is the game changing moment. If you acquired 107 (Gremio is Dead) Stars of Destiny you'll be ready to take on the Shasarazade Fortress. Shasarazade is a fortress built on the war but the Scarlet Moon Empire never built a navy. They're expecting the next attack to take place at Kwaba Fortress. Mathiu makes his plan unfold but he needs many boats and real soon. By using Dragon's Breath to make ice boats (With the help of the Dragons from the Dragon's Den) the Liberation Army uses over 500 boats to attack Shasarazade Fortress.

Battle at Shasarazade Fortress
The battle at Shasarazade takes place against Sonya Schulen. Sonya was somewhat romatically involved with Teo McDohl, since before Teo's son left the Empire so her she's pretty upset. Your army can easily conquer her army if you found all the Stars of Destiny. If you didn't acquire many, you'll need to be selective as she likes to mix up her attacks more than the generals before her. When the battle ends, you'll be sent into the Fortress to close the Sluice Gate. Mathiu wants to burn Shasarazade with oil. When you reach the end, you'll find a giant Clam which is decently powerful. You'll then be able to close the gate. When you are almost back to the stairs, you're stopped by Sonya Schulen. She attacks you and she's pretty powerful too, especially if you used all your best attacks on the boss before you. After you defeat her she starts to walk slowly toward the water because she failed, feeling like she let Teo McDohl down but Viktor stops her and takes her with us. When you reach the top of the Fortress, you discover Sanchez has been the Imperial Spy in the Liberation Army for many years. He had stabbed Mathiu. Mathiu suggests everyone pretend nothing happened as this would send a big blow to the morale of the Liberation Army.

Final Battle at Gregminster Capital of Scarlet Moon Empire
In the Headquarters of the Liberation Army you can speak to Mathiu one last time before your final war. When you do, you'll be asked if you're ready for this battle. Everyone will be gathered in the War Room and a little speech happens to boost morale. If you spoke to Sonya Schulen in your dungeon to convince her to join and convinced all the 106 other Stars of Destiny to join and none of them are dead (Except Gremio) Lady Leknaat will appear during all this. She brings a present for gathering so many people in 1 place. She brings Gremio back to life to make your 108 Stars of Destiny complete. The Final Battle takes place at Gregminster. Windy used her sorcery to make many additional monsters on behalf of the Gregminster defending force. Lady Leknaat appears to remove as many as possible but she's not as powerful as Windy. Your attack begins. When the battle ends you learn that there were some additional help from the Dwarves and the Warrior's Village. Yuber, decides this war is over and vanishes.

Gregminster Capital
You've now conquered the entire country but you need to dethrone Emperor Barbarosa and remove Windy. Inside the town you have access to the Armor and Item Shop so there may be a few finds there you'll want before you proceed to the Palace. After you travel to the bridge separating the town from the Castle, you'll meet Ain Gide. Speaking to Ain Gide, he won't betray his country and he won't stand down. As a representative as the last Great General, he battles you to the death in a final attempt to stop you. At this time he also admits he knew who you were when you were trying to escape Gregminster through Kwaba Fortress but it's due to his friendship with Teo McDohl that he didn't do anything about it.

Palace
Inside the Palace you're met with numerous battles against Imperial Soldiers and monsters. You'll need to travel deep into the Palace and acquire many different items before you reach the end. At the end of the Palace you'll find Barbarosa in his garden on the rooftop. You'll speak to Barbarosa for a moment but as the Scarlet Moon's Emperor he won't go down without a fight.

Final Boss: 3 Headed Golden Hydra
The boss fight can be incredibly hard and incredibly easy if you know what each of the 3 heads are capable of. If you focus on the Left Hydra Head first, you wont need to deal with the Hydra healing itself when you've killed a head. Each Hydra head has different moves but you will usually see a single attack, usually against Viktor and a magic attack against your entire group. I am unaware if there are multiple attacks by the 3 heads but I believe I've encountered a few moments where 2 of the heads may attack. If you keep up with your experience and maxed out your weapon and armor, you'll have no problem fighting the Hydra. Soul Eater's Judgement will commit 1500 damage but Flik's Thunder rune can be slightly ineffective.

When you destroyed the Golden Hydra, you'll have another scene with Emperor Barbarosa. During this scene, the Great Generals you recruited will run in to try and stop Barbarosa. During this time, Windy appears and I believe she tries to command Barbarosa with the Black Rune she gave him. Unfortunately for her, he was never under the influence of the Black Rune. Barbarosa loved Windy even though he was aware of her intent. She had a remarkable resemblance to Claudia, Barbarosa's previous wife. He gave his Empire to Windy. In the last moment, he grabbed Windy and jumped over the ledge at the top of the Palace.

*Whether or not Windy and Barbarosa had died is unknown*

The Palace begins to shake and you must run for the entrance to get out. On your way down, you're attacked by many Imperial Soldiers and a few traps are set. Viktor and Flik will stay back to fight off the Imperial Soldiers and Flik takes an arrow for the hero. In the end, your party makes it out of the Palace. Viktor and Flik are never seen leaving the Palace. In the final moments, the Liberation Army cheers for total victory over the Scarlet Moon Empire as Mathiu, mortally wounded by the Sanchez's attack during the Shasarazade battle, lays to rest in peace. The war is won by the Liberation Army and the Scarlet Moon Empire is no more.

After you've completed the game you'll get to see what happens to all of the 108 Stars of Destiny. Some of these endings change based on some of the things you do in the game. If any character dies during a battle, that will be reported at the end and which battle they died in. If everyone survived, they'll all be included with where they may have gone or what they became.
----------------------------------------------------------------

Introduction to the 108 Stars of Destiny
The Stars of Destiny consists of 108 characters who can be recruited by the main character, McDohl. Unlike other RPG games, these Stars of Destiny consist of storyline characters important to your cause and lesser important characters with a variety of skills. There's one key element to the lesser important characters, they can die at key moments in your game. More on this can be explained later.

These characters have a variety of skills. Some characters are shop keepers and allow you to purchase their inventories. Other characters allow you to gamble or play mini-games. The most important characters are those which you can use in your party to attack monsters or visit towns/dungeons. During your adventure you'll run into many different characters and it's your job to find all 108. The more characters you find, the more options you have at your disposal and the stronger you are overall.
I've included a list of names, locations and times which these characters can be found. About half of these characters join you because of your storyline progression but the other half are left for you to search the Country.

1) McDohl - Nameable main character. Son of Teo McDohl living in the Mansion at Gregminster.
2) Cleo - Servant to the house of McDohl, joins automatically at the beginning of the game. Her magical aptitude encourages Lady Leknaat to give you a Fire Rune while on Magician's Island.
3) Gremio - Another servant to the house of McDohl, joins automatically at the beginning of the game. He is the "Young Master's" best friend and a really good cook too.
4) Pahn - Last servant to the house of McDohl, joins automatically at the beginning of the game. He is a powerful fighter at the start of the game but he'll eventually doing what is right for the Scarlet Moon Empire.
5) Viktor - Automatically joins after you spend the night at Marie's Inn in Gregminster to evade the Scarlet Moon Empire. Viktor is a strong swordsman with poor magical strength. When he first joins he'll be countered by enemies a lot.
6) Mathiu Silverberg - Former and brilliant military strategist to the Scarlet Moon Empire who retired many years ago. He automatically joins after the Imperial Soldiers force Mathiu to serve under Barbarosa.
7) Camille - She is seeking Gremio for the unpaid debt at Marie's former INN in Gregminster. She joins automatically after speaking with Tai Ho. She actually forgets Gremio's debt and the entire reason she joined McDohl.
8) Tai Ho - Automatically joins you when you reach Toran Lake Fortress via winning a gambling session to get him to pilot a boat. His love for the sea and women is unmatched.
9) Yam Koo - Automatically joins you after you conquered Toran Lake Fortress. He is the younger brother of Tai Ho but not as much a thrill seeker and opts to guard the boat while inside the Fortress.
10) Luc - As a present from Lady Leknaat after making Toran Lake Fortress your Headquarters. Luc is a powerful magician but very weak for physical attacks.

After establishing Toran Lake Fortress as your headquarters, several Stars of Destiny become available to you in the surrounding villages. You will need to speak to each of these characters to get them to join. Antonio is the only Star that requires another Star to be in your group.

11) Chandler - Found at the Fortress of Kwaba (Which you passed through to reach the Village of Seika). He will open an Item Shop in your castle. For every Item Shop you visit, he'll acquire those goods in his shop for you to purchase.
12) Kai - Found at the Garan Fortress. He is McDohl's old teacher. He offers a fairly useful unite with McDohl and is used in your party for battling monsters.
13) Marie - Found at the INN of Seika. She formerly ran the INN in Gregminster but she fled the city shortly after you did. Now she's looking to open an INN in your new headquarters.
14) Antonio - Found at the INN of Seika. After staying at Marie's INN inside your Castle, she'll eventually mention she's in need of a good cook. After she says she needs a cook, you'll be able to convince Antonio to join you. (Don't forget to do this asap or you might forget).
15) Onil - Found in her house in Seika. She only joins after you've taken Toran Lake Fortress as your headquarters. (She's another one you might forget)
16) Sansuke - Found in his house at the Great Forest Village. He's looking to make a bath for your castle. You can remodel the bath with various Antiques you find throughout the game (Ornaments, Paintings, Statues, etc.)
17) Maas - Found at the Blacksmith of the Great Forest Village. He's the weakest blacksmith you'll find in the game.
18) Sergei - Found at the Tavern in Kaku. He wants to bring his elevator invention to your castle. This makes traveling between the basement and the higher level floors faster.

Mission to recruit Lepant offers several recruits in Kouan. Most of these characters join automatically after you remove the Imperial Commander Kraze from Kouan. Rock is the only character you need to speak to in order to have him join you. Pahn automatically joins you after you defeat Kraze's forces but he's listed as Star #4 due to his early appearance in the game.

19) Rock - Found in Lepant's Mansion. He becomes your storage keeper for any goods you want to drop off or withdraw.
20) Juppo - Found in Lepant's Mansion. He joins you even if you don't speak to him. It's odd that you don't need to speak to him but he is important for a later role.
21) Krin - Joins automatically after stealing Lepant's sword from his mansion. He tries to give you tea so you'll be asleep when Lepant returns to retrieve his sword.
22) Lepant - Joins automatically after you storm Commander Kraze's headquarters in Kouan. Lepant is a wealthy man living in the quiet town of Kouan who has tried to refrain from participating with the Empire.
23) Eileen - Joins automatically after you storm Commander Kraze's headquarters in Kouan. She is the wife to Lepant and goes where he goes.
24) Giovanni - Joina automatically after you storm Commander Kraze's headquarters in Kouan. He is the servant to Lepant and Eileen so he tags along wherever they go.

After you've recruited Lepant to your side, you'll be able to recruit a few more Stars before the next major task requires your attention.

25) Meg - Found near the INN in Kaku. You will need to have Juppo in your party in order to get Meg to join you. I've never used Meg but she can be used in your party I believe.
26) Lorelai - Found inside the INN at Kouan. She will only join you when McDohl's level is 25 or higher. She could be fairly useful but I tend to forget about her until after the next event in the game.
27) Gasper - Found in Kaku where you gambled against Tai Ho. You will need to have enough Stars of Destiny to get your headquarters to the next level. Win 5000 from him and he'll join. I love to place bets against him inside the castle to obtain a lot of extra early game money.
28) Varkas - Appears in your headquarters on the second floor with his partner Sydonia. They automatically join. He can make a nice addition to bring with you in your party but he's more effective with Sydonia.
29) Sydonia - Appears in your headquarters on the second floor with his partner Varkas. They automatically join. Like Varkas, he's a good addition to have in your party but he's more effective with Varkas.
30) Sheena - Found in Seika INN. Sheena is the son to Lepant and you will need Lepant in order to acquire Sheena to join your group. He's a decent fighter to bring with you in your party.

The next major event starts at the base of your headquarters after Mathiu suggests you entertain your new guests with a feast in celebration of their arrival. Stars of Destiny join as a result of following a series of events. Meese and Templeton must be found in order to acquire them.

31) Kirkis - Washed up at the entrance of your headquarters. He automatically joins you after requesting assistance for a threatening attack on the Elves. He's a decent fighter to have in your party but I usually acquire a Water Rune for him.
32) Viki - On your first visit through the Great Forest she'll appear at the end of a log. You should allow her to join your party and go back to your headquarters. I've never liked using Viki in battle but her abilities to teleport are very useful.
33) Valeria - She's held captive in the dungeon you're thrown in when Kirkis brings you to the Village of the Elves. She automatically joins after you speak to her.
34) Meese - Found at the Blacksmith in the Village of the Dwarves. He is an improved blacksmith compared to Maas and can strengthen your weapon's level.
35) Templeton - After the Village of the Dwarves has been destroyed, you'll need to leave the Village then enter it again. Templeton will be standing there and you'll need to talk to them to get them to join. He/she offers a map of the Toran Republic region that's quite useful.
36) Kuromimi - Automatically joins you after you are ambushed at the Kobold Village. With no where to turn you must defend against several attacks of Imperial Soldiers.
37) Sylvina - Automatically joins you after your army saves your party from the Imperial Forces in the Kobold Village. She is Kirkis's love and I'm sure there's a unite between the Elves.
38) Stallion - Automatically joins after your army saves your party at the Kobold Village. He is the world's fastest Elf. Having Stallion in the party increases your speed while on the map.
39) Humphrey - Automatically joins you when your army appears at Kobold Village. He's a fairly powerful member of your army although I never use him in my party.

Your army will pursue the Imperial Forces found at Pannu Yakuta. After you defeat Kwanda Rosman's forces you engage in a duel. When you've defeated him and his army you'll unlock a few more Stars in the Pannu Yakuta region.

40) Kwanda Rosman - As a result of defeating his Imperial Army and defeating him in a duel, you'll have the opportunity to recruit Kwanda to join you. You must choose to recruit him.
41) Fu Su Lu - Found at the INN in Kobold Village. You will need to pay 10k bits in order for him to join you.
42) Gon - Found in his house in Kobold Village. You will need to bring Kuromimi with you in order to get him to join you. I suspect he has a unite with Kuromimi but I've never used him in my party.
43) Rubi - Found at the INN in Kobold Village. You will need to increase Kirkis level to 35 or higher and have Kirkis in your party to recruit Rubi. He's another Elf and I suspect he has a Unite with the other elves but I've never used him in my party.
44) Apple - Found in Seika inside Mathiu's house. Apple is a student of Mathiu and she will join you if you tell her Mathiu wanted to help you. She's good for boosting the Strategist group while in a major battle.
45) Flik - Apart of the main story, Flik is the second to Odessa Silverberg who was the original Leader to the Liberation Army. You took over her role after her death in Lenankamp, to which Flik is furious and leaves for Kaku. You can find Flik in a house guarded by men in Kaku. After speaking to him, he'll come to his senses and join you.

After recruiting Flik to the Liberation Army, you'll engage Garan Fortress which separates the Pannu Yakuta region (Includes Kaku, Kouan, Seika, etc.) from Milich's Domain to the East. After victory over Garan, your forces proceed to attack Milich but your army can't get close enough without dying by the poison. A new mission is in place for McDohl and you can recruit several new faces.

46) Chapman - Found at the Armor Shop in Antei, he'll join you if your Castle is at level 2. After you've recruited him, you'll have access to all of the Armors throughout the game if you've previously visited them. This is especially useful for acquiring Accessories like Winged Boots and Guard Ring if you wish to boost defense.
47) Jeane - Found at the Rune Shop in Antei, she'll only join you after your castle is at the 3rd level. After she joins you, you'll have access to attach and detach runes in your castle.
48) Mina - Found at the INN in Antei. In order to recruit her, you'll need to equip Toe Shoes to McDohl in order to dance with her. Afterwards, she joins you.
49) Eikei - Found in Teien near the water's edge. You'll need to boost McDohl's level to 40 or higher and have your castle at level 2 in order to convince him to join.
50) Hellion - Found at the INN in Teien. She has access to the Blinking Mirror which allows you to teleport back to your castle from anywhere on the world map. She only asks to join if your castle is level 2.
51) Lotte - Found at the INN in Rikon. She asks you to find her cat, which is hiding over in Kaku. You'll need to teleport to your castle and have Viki teleport you to Kaku to chase the cat. Teleport back to Viki then back to Rikon. Speaking to her will get her to join. You castle level has to be level 3.
52) Jabba - Found at the Appraisal Shop in Rikon. In order to get Jabba to join you, you'll need to acquire the Nameless Urn from an enemy drop in the region outside Rikon. I believe this is dropped by Creeper.
53) Anji - Found in the Pirate's Hideout north of your Castle. In order to get the Pirates to join your Army, you'll need to bring Tai Ho and Yam Koo with you and have your castle level up to 3 now. You'll engage the pirates in a fight and if you beat them in 5 turns, you'll get them to join you, otherwise, you'll need to fight them until you beat them in 5 rounds.
54) Kanak - Joins automatically after you defeated them in 5 rounds.
55) Leonardo - Joins automatically after you defeated them in 5 rounds.

The next series of Stars of Destiny are acquired by following the storyline. Your party works to find a way to make an antidote for the poison surrounding Scarleticia Castle. A name, Liukan, is found in the surrounding towns but it's protected by a whirlpool.

56) Gen - In Teien, he is a neighbor to Kamandol. He agrees to help find a way to cross the Whirlpool in order to reach Liukan's house. Automatically joins you for this.
57) Kamandol - In Teien, he is the neighbor to Gen. He agrees to help find a way to cross the Whirlpool in order to reach Liukan's house. He automtically joins you.
58) Kimberly - After Liukan is taken hostage by Milich, Mathiu requests you find Kimberly living in Antei who will assist in forging documents to get into Soniere Prison.
59) Tesla - Mathiu requests you recruit Tesla to forge documents to get into Soniere Prison in order to rescue Liukan. At first, he's unwilling and covers his identity by the alias Albert but Viktor sees through this and Tesla has no choice but to join.
60) Liukan - Joins automatically after you save him in Soniere Prison. He's very good with medicine and he's a major part of another event later in the game but these are the only times you'll need him.

Your visit to Soniere Prison alerts Milich Oppenheimer. Having saved Liukan, Milich locks you into a room and tosses a vial of man eating spores onto the floor. In an attempt to save the "Young Master" Gremio sacrifices himself by locking the only other door where your party is pushed into. Gremio dies.

61) Milich Oppenheimer - After you defeat Milich's army you'll need to enter Scarleticia Castle and destroy the monstrous flower emitting poison in the surrounding area. Upon doing so, Milich comes to his senses. You should forgive Milich and let him join your army.
62) Kasumi - She appears in your headquarters looking for the leader of the Liberation Army. She automatically joins you right before your battle with Teo.

Your successful invasion on Scarleticia Castle paves way to a war with Teo McDohl, one of Scarlet Moon's most successful generals. He lays seige to Toran Lake Castle from the shore of Kaku. Your army takes the battle to Teo but fails miserably and requires immediate retreat. During retreat you're pursued by Teo. Pahn stays back to hold off Teo long enough so you can get away. Pahn and Teo duel.

*If you do not improve Pahn's armor, weapon strength and level, Pahn will die. You can defeat Teo as Pahn during this duel if you make Pahn as powerful as possible. Training with monsters near Scarleticia won't take much effort but you'll need bits to pay for the armor and weapon improvements. You will need to carefull read Teo's dialogue in order to beat Teo or Pahn will take considerable damage*

A few Stars of Destiny are made available after your duel between Pahn and Teo. You'll have a new mission up north to find the Secret Factory but you will be able to teleport to the towns in the recently conquered area to find more stars.

63) Esmeralda - Found at the INN in Antei, she's looking for an Opal Ring. This ring is only dropped by monsters in Soniere Prison. If you're lucky, you would have found one when you were first there. This may take a long time to find and she can be easily forgotten.
64) Ivannov - Found at Scarleticia Castle. He joins you after you have defeated Milich. Ivannov is a painter so any paint you find in the game can be used to paint a mural which will eventually look like the cover of the game.
65) Kasios - Found in Scarleticia Castle. She joins you only after you defeated Milich and brought Milich with you in your party when speaking with her.
66) Qlon - Found in Antei. After you defeated Milich and your castle level is 3 you'll convince Qlon to join you.
67) Georges - Found at the INN in Kirov. You'll need to beat any record of matches in order for him to join. He only appears if your Castle is at level 3.
68) Lester - Found in Kirov. You need to taste the soups in the 2 houses left and right of Sarah. He will appear in the house south of Sarah but he'll only appear if your castle is level 3. He is another cook like Antonio.
69) Sarah - Found in Kirov. After speaking to her she'll ask you to find her soap. This leads you to do a series of trades for different goods in Kirov to acquire the Soap.
70) Blackman - Found in Kalekka. You will need to talk to him without stepping on his plants (This can be somewhat fun though).
71) Melodye - Found in a house in Kirov. You will need to give her a Sound Crystal in order for her to join.

The next events take place at the Secret Factory and lead up to another battle with Teo. Several Stars join as a result of this event but you will need to speak to a few of them to get them to join.

72) Kessler - Member of the Liberation Army under Odessa Silverberg will join after you speak to him.
73) Ledon - Member of the Liberation Army and servant to Kessler, he goes where Kessler goes.
74) Kage - Kage will join you if you pay the 20k he asks for in a contract. Kage is a skilled ninja and makes for a decent fighter in your party.
75) Mose - Maintains the Secret Factory as a blacksmith. He offers the Fire Spears when the designs were delievered by Odessa Silverberg in Mt. Tigermouth. He automatically joins as a result of building the Fire Spears. I assume there is a unite with Ronnie Bell but I've never checked.
76) Ronnie Bell - Automatically joins when Mose joins. She is the partner to Mose and joins when he does. I assume there is a unite with Mose.
77) Kun To - Joins automatically after agreeing to lend boats to Tai Ho. His boats are used to deliver the Fire Spears to the Liberation Army Headquarters.

As soon as the Fire Spears are delivered to the Liberation Army, you engage Teo's Armored Cavalry on the shore of Kaku. This battle is the turning point for the Liberation Army as the Fire Spears obliterate the Armored Cavalry. As a result, Teo's forces are quickly defeated with minimal losses to the Liberation Army. You then engage Teo in a duel.

*Make sure your weapon is at it's max and you have the best possible armor you can acquire. Teo will inflict a good chunk of damage more if you don't pay attention.*

78) Alen - After you defeat Teo, he automatically joins you as a final request by Teo McDohl. I assume there is a unite with Grenseal but I can't remember.
79) Grenseal - After you defeat Teo, he automatically joins you as a final request by Teo McDohl. I assume there is a unite with Alen but I forgot if there is.

Your victory over Teo McDohl sweeps the Toran region and strikes fear into the Empire. You take your next attack to the Lorimar region but when you arrive, the Lorimar Fortress is empty. Your next mission is to investigate the region to figure out what's going on.

80) Kirke - Found in Lorimar Fortress. You'll need to ask him to join and he will.
81) Marco - Found in the Warrior's Village. You originally met her in Rockland at the start of the game but you'll need to earn 5k bits in order to get her to join. The game is fairly easy.
82) Moose - Found at the Blacksmith of Warrior's Village. You will need to bring Maas, Meese and Mose to convince Moose to join. He provides fairly powerful weapon strength when you upgrade your weapons.

During your visit to the Warrior's Village you'll need to speak to the Chief. During your stay you'll discover Neclord is requesting Tengaar as one of his "brides". You attack Neclord but he is immune to your weapons because of his cursed rune. You must visit Qlon Temple.

83) Zen - Found in Qlon Temple. You will need to bring Red, Blue and Yellow flower seeds before he joins and he'll only ask if your castle is level 3.
84) Morgan - Found in Qlon Temple. You will need to have a Castle at level 3 before you can recruit him.
85) Quincy - Found in Garan Fortress. If you have acquired 80 Stars of Destiny, you will be able to recruit Quincy now. If you haven't you'll need to recruit more Stars.
86) Fukien - Automatically joins when you speak to him. He sends you into the cave behind the Temple.
87) Hugo - Found in Qlon Temple. You need to find the War Scroll hidden in the cave behind the Temple and give it to Hugo in order to get him to join you. You castle has to be lvl 3.
88) Window - Found in the Warrior's Village. You need to bring him the window crystal in order for him to join you.

During your adventure into the cave behind Qlon Temple you'll encounter a sword to slay Vampires and you'll visit the Hidden Rune Village from 300 years ago. You'll meet a really young Ted who is given the Soul Eater Rune and told to run for many hundred years. After you return to the present, you'll acquire the Star Dragon Sword.

89) Hix - He automatically joins you when you are about to enter Neclord's Castle. Make sure he's in the front because he's a short distance fighter.
90) Tengaar - After defeating Neclord, she'll automatically join you to be with Hix.

Your victory over Neclord adds the Warrior's Village to your Liberation Army's Strength. Several more Stars become available to you in different places. You're also sent to the Dragon's Den because they closed their borders to the rest of the world.

91) Clive - Randomly appears at the INN in Rikon. You will need to have a castle at level 4. You will need to repeatedly enter and exit the town checking the INN everytime you enter in order to find him. It's totally random and sometimes takes a dozen times to find him.
92) Crowley - Hidden in the Cave of the Past (Cave behind Qlon Temple). You will need to have a Headquarters at level 4 and about 98 Stars. He is in a secret passage that you'll need to find.
93) Permerga - Found at the top floor of Neclord's Castle. You'll need a headquarters at lvl 4 in order convince him to join.
94) Leon Silverburg - Found in the House at Kalekka. He tells you to give Mathiu his regards. If you return to Mathiu, he'll give you a letter to give to Leon. This letter convinces Leon to join.

After you make it to the end of the Dragon's Den you discover all the Dragons are poisoned with a sleeping herb. Liukan is required to diagnose and cure the Dragons on behalf of the Dragon Knights. Milia takes you to Seek Valley for one of the ingredients.

95) Fuma - Found at the Dragon Knights' Fortress. Speak to him and he'll join. He's hiding on the rightside of the outside area of the castle.
96) Kreutz - Found inside the Dragon Knights' Fortress. With Humphrey in your party you'll convince Kreutz to join your Liberation Army. I never thought about it but he might have a unite with Humphrey.
97) Milia - Joins immediately before you fly off to Seek Valley. You are granted permission to use her services after you save the Dragons.

Seek Valley is a dangerous area with powerful monsters compared to your level. After you reach the end you discover Windy who teleports there totake your Soul Eater from you. She kept Ted alive to use him to take it back but her Black Rune doesn't last long on Ted. He has the Rune consume his soul unlocking the last power of the rune. Windy vanishes because she can't touch the rune.

When you return to Dragon Knight Fortress, you'll discover Futch left to retrieve another ingredient at Gregminster Palace rooftop. After he finds the ingredient he encouters Barbarosa. Futch discovers that Barbarosa doesn't want trouble and allows Futch to escape before Windy gets there. As soon as he takes off Windy strikes his Dragon. His dragon was used in the last ingredient to save all the Dragons. When you return to your headquarters you discover Tagaart who wishes to speak to the Leader of the Liberation Army.

98) Joshua Levenheit - Automatically joins after you save the Dragons.
99) Futch - Automatically joins after he loses his Dragon. He's no longer allowed to be a Dragon Knight.

101) Griffith - Automatically joins after the battle at the Northern Checkpoint. He's used in a plot to enter Moravia Castle.
102) Warren - Automatically joins you after you rescue him in Moravia Castle.
103) Kasim Hazil - Automatically joins you after you rescue Warren and Viktor.

After you finished with Moravia Castle, you need to focus on finding all of the Stars of Destiny. This is the last point in the game which you can find them all.

104) Vincent - Found at the top of Moravia Castle you'll need to talk to him to convince him to join.
105) Maximillian - When you enter Northern Checkpoint he'll appear to help the Liberation Army but he's late in his arrival. You should allow him to join.
106) Sancho - Automatically joins following Maximillian.
107) Mace - Found in Seek Valley. You will need to go to Dragons Den in order to visit Seek Valley. When you go to Seek Valley bring Mose, Moose, Maas and Meese with you. Mace is the last Blacksmith in the game to find and offers the highest level of weapon stength upgrade. He only joins if you have all the Blacksmiths in your party when you speak to him.

Your next attack takes place at the Shasarazade Fortress by sea. With the help of the Dragon Knights and Gen/Kamandol, your men work overnight to produce 500 boats of Ice. Your attack on the Fortress is a surprise attack. Sonya Schulen fails in defending the fortress but before you destroy the fortress you need to close the Sluice Gate. You're sent into the Fortress and confronted by Sonya. You will engage in a battle with her.

Right before you battle her, she tries to stop you. The oil sent into the fortress is set ablaze. After you defeat her, you imprison her in your dungeon at your headquarters. Before you go into the final battle you'll want to talk to her.

108) Sonya Schulen - Found in your dungeon. You need to talk to her before speaking with Mathiu and engaging with the final battle.

If you have all 107 Stars of Destiny and none of them have died in any war, you'll meet Leknaat with a present for you. She will revive Gremio and your 108 Stars of Destiny become complete. If you do not find all 108 before you destroy Shas Fortress you won't get Gremio back.

*Ted, Odessa Silverberg and Sanchez are not apart of the 108 Stars of Destiny. Even though Ted and Odessa are used, they aren't considered in your Liberation Army at the end of the game. Sanchez has been the Liberation Army's spy for many years while Odessa was in charge.*

Secrets
This part of the Suikoden game guide is designated for the different Suikoden secrets. Some of these secrets are based on your game play and can be found by doing specific things. Other secrets are based on the character's personalities and who they are (In more detail than the game provides).

Game Play Secrets
These secrets can be acquired or obtained by normally playing the game and using save/load as a way to obtain them. Some of these secrets are simple and you probably found them while playing your game. Other secrets are a little more difficult to acqurie. 6 Persian Lamps, for example, will take forever to acquire all the Lamps as they are rarely dropped by enemies.

1) Easy Money - In Rockland you may notice Marco, who runs the Cup Game. You should acquire at least 10k bits then save your game at the INN in Rockland. When you speak to her you'll want to bet 100 bits for many rounds of the game. You should keep track of where the coin is after each round for at least 20 rounds. You then quit the game and load your saved file. You should play the cup game again for 10k bits betting on where the coin will land based on your 20 rounds of betting for 100 bits. You'll make an impressive amount of money really early. It is possible to eyeball the cup the coin is in and get it right. It might be fast but it's not humanly fast.

2) More Easy Money - After you recruit Gasper he'll appear on the second floor of your castle. Get a party with Stars who are high in luck! When you play his Dice game you should bet 9900 bits (This is the max) and repeatedly bet your winnings until you've earned a few hundred thousand bits. If you like to push your luck like I do, I like to aim for 500k or 800k bits. I will save before I play the game as sometimes your luck is pretty bad, especially early on. If I run out of bits to bet with, I'll load my saved game and try again.

3) 100 Bits - Inside the Palace of Gregminster at the start of the game there's 100 free bits in the armor across from Coammander Kraze's office.

4) Free Refills - On multi use items like Medicine and Mega Medicine, if you deposit them into your Vault and withdraw them they'll be at the max amount of uses. If medicine has 1 use left before it's gone, deposit into the Vault then withdraw it, it'll have 6 full uses. This is useful if you're in need of extra medicine or mega medicine.

5) Binoculars - I had to look this up because I couldn't figure out what these did. Apparently, these allow you to move the camera angle on the second controller. You would need to set up a second controller in order to use them on Vizzed.

6) Special Bath Scenes - If you find 1 Peeing Boy Statue and 1 additional male character in your party and place the Peeing Boy in the top Right, the statue will pee on the 2nd male character.

Other unexplored scenes found on internet:
-6 Hex Dolls
-6 Hex Dolls and 2 Grafitti
-6 Persian Lamps
-6 Flower Urns, 1 Landscape Painting and 1 Nature Painting

7) Hidden Scenes
-Take Clive to Rockland and take a look at the Tombstone in the back-left.
-Take Meg to Lenenkamp and visit the first house on the left.
-Take Krin to Lenenkamp and talk to the man in the far right corner.
-Take Flik to the Warrior's Village and speak to the guy next to the building in the top right.
-If you don't have the 200 bits to pay for Vincent's meal in Antei when you're about to go to the Dragon's Den, McDohl, Flik and Humphrey will be washing dishes.
- Fight an optional battle with Imperial soldiers in Rockland after the Mt. Seifu mission for an extra scene.
- Leave Commander Kraze's Mansion in Kouan without talking to Pahn.
- Accept to kill Kwanda Rosman at the first option for an extra scene with windy.
- Accept to kill Milich at the first option for an extra scene involving Camille.
- Try to enter Kaku by boat after the first battle with Teo.
- Return to your castle by boat with the Fire Spears instead of the blinking mirror.
- Take Liukan with you when you go to the Dragon Knights' Fortress.
- Visit the Liberation Army's old hideout in Lenankamp when you invade Gregminster.

8) Get Fortune or Prosperity Rune Early - This depends on what you do at the beginning of the game before Ted joins you or after Ted joins you. If you go to Saraday with and without Ted you will get the Prosperity or Fortune Runes. If you go without Ted you'll get the Fortune Rune. If you go with Ted you'll get the Prosperity Rune. This takes place before you go to your room to get dinner.

9) Hidden Comments
-Talk to Kasim and Kraze right before your audience with the Emperor.
-Visit Sonya right after Teo leaves the house for the first time.
-In Gregminster at the start of the game, if you talk to the shopkeeper in the hardware store with Gremio in the party, the shopkeeper will ask Gremio how the banquet was and will say that he will settle Gremio's tab after you get back. It's a cute little setup for Camille. The shopkeeper will only say this if you come to see him before going to see Kraze your first morning working for the Imperial Guard.
-Check on the diaries of Pahn, Cleo (looked), Sonya and your own (save point).
-Talk to Kraze over and over again (up to six times), after receiving instructions for the Rockland mission.
-The woman who runs the armoury in Rockland gives a different dialogue if you approach her behind the counter.
-Talk to two men in Rocklands inn with Kanaan in convoy.
-Take the captured bandits with you to Kraze instead of Grady for some additional lines.
-Krin can be found in the upper left house in Lenankamp at the beginning.
-Talk to Onil often, for different hints and comments throughout the whole game.
-Leave Kouan, the night Krin is waiting for you outside of Lepan'ts mansion, re-enter and talk to him at the inn. Also, you can get another comment if you back out of sneaking into Lepant's mansion (from the roof) after Krin sets you up to go in.
-Talk to Jeane, Lotte, Qlon, Sarah, Zen and Morgan with a level 2 castle, for some quotes you may have never seen before (keep your recruits to a minimum).
-If you talk to the hardware store owner in Rikon from the side instead of across the table, he has a special comment instead of opening the shopping menu.
-Talk to Anji at Pirate's Island with either just Tai Ho or just Yam Koo in your party.
-Talk to a guy in Warrior's village with Flik in your party.
-Check on Chandler's and Chapman's goods at your castle, if you have never visited any item and armor store at all.

10) Foreshadowing for the Next Game
Suikoden 2 takes place a few years after the first game. If you acquired all of the 108 Stars of Destiny, you can load your data onto Suikoden 2 which changes some dialogue and adds both Gremio and McDohl to Suikoden 2 who can be played after a certain point in the game.

If you don't load data from Suikoden 1 you'll still meet several other characters in Suikoden 2. Viktor, Flik, Meg, Kasumi, Valeria, Tesla, Lepant, Varkas and others make an appearance in Suikoden 2 who were also in Suikoden 1.
--------------------------------------

I've played Suikoden from start to finish many times. It's one of my most favorite RPG style games and it easily compares to Final Fantasy as a whole series.
Warning

100) Tagaart - Automatically joins. You discover he is sent to the Liberation Army to ask for their help to save Warren and Viktor who were captured at Moravia Castle.

A battle takes place in the Northern Checkpoint after Mathiu suggests a training exercise. Your forces overwhelm the Northern Checkpoint and Griffith gives up without much of a fight. Mathiu sets a plan in place to draw forces out of Moravia Castle while you sneak in and rescue the 2.

Awesome, as always. Of course, I can't read through this all and it wouldn't do me any good, since I don't have the time to play games. However, I still want to say that it's phenomenal.  I've skimmed through it and as always... detail and quality are through the roof.  Thank you so much for all this hard work... it's appreciated.

How long did it take you to do this, by the way?

Singelli : This literally took me too long to write out. I started this thing over a month ago and numerous things got in the way. I spent about a dozen hours staring at it trying to figure out how I was going to organize this. I probably spent over 16 hours writing it after I gathered all my information but it's hard to estimate because I did about half of the Story/All of the Runes over a month ago. The rest of the guide I completed in the last 3 days, which I finished only about 2 hours ago.

Do you know what's bad? Writing out a game guide to a game you love to play then getting side tracked because you want to listen to certain songs that are in your game? That's probably one of my problems in why I work kind of slow. Also, life issues in the way kind of prevented me from working on this for awhile.

If you ever find time to play a game, try to play this if you like a nice entertaining RPG with a good quality story.

Fireproof :  Thanks for the recommendations. I do adore rpg's actually.    Let's hope that nothing else is going to keep me busy once I finish my guides on Sunday.  I don't remember where I posted this.. but man... I am going to CELEBRATE after pretty much four weeks of straight writing.

As for getting side-tracked, it's easy to believe.  I find that I have to re-task myself often when I'm writing all this stuff for my job. haha!  But at least you were getting side tracked by some things you enjoyed!

Fireproof : Nice guide, but you can get an easy 100,000 bits in 10 mins. Every time you play marco in rockland for the 1st visit the coin is always in the left cup. Bet your amount, pick left cup, leave rockland, play again.

Haseo88 :  1) Easy Money - In Rockland you may notice Marco, who runs the Cup Game.

I include that information at the bottom in the secrets section of my guide. I'd argue that it takes a lot longer than 10 mins to acquire 100k bits. You'd need to first acquire 10k bits before you can bet 10k. After you have 10k bits, sure you can acquire 100k bits by playing Marco's cup game. If your eyes are fast enough to follow the cup in the 10k bet you can do it in 5 mins. I can follow the cup on 10k bet on my disc but it's a tiny bit more difficult through the emulator where I will miss a few. Also, for the record, my first cup appears as the middle cup (Usually it is left first).
