I love meat foods.

I knew a vegetarian that once passed out at work from lack of iron.

EideticMemory:
It not in the least true to say vegetarianism is healthier.
The only thing unhealthy about meat is eating too much of it (particularly red meat).
To be healthy as a vegetarian actually requires a more organised diet to ensure you pick up the nutrients typically found in meats.

Awesome-Kid:
You should never give a dog chicken bones,  they splinter and can kill the dog...

"Several studies have shown that both vegetarians and vegans are prone to deficiencies in B12, calcium, iron, zinc, the long-chain fatty acids EPA & DHA, and fat-soluble vitamins like A & D."

I'm not a vegetarian, although I really like vegetables, I like meat just as much, if not more. In all honesty though, I don't think I could ever see myself without meat. A lot of people always bring up the point that vegetarians live a much healthier lifestyle, but that doesn't really seem to be the case because there are a lot of unhealthy vegetarians out there. For many, the decision between vegetarian lifestyle, or one with meat is a matter of personal morals as sonic said, so it really all comes down to your personal preference. Personally, I have a pretty good liking for meat, and I don't want to take the chance of suffering from anemia.

I'm not a vegetarian because I love meat and I don't eat vegetables much. Also, I don't believe it's wrong to eat meat, which are sometimes referred to as God's animals. Besides, most of the animals will be eaten anyway if they're already made into meat.

I'm a semi-vegetarian, or 'flexitarian' if you pefer.

I eat mostly vegetables and seafood, with no objection to meat on occasion.

It's more of a health and lifestyle choice for me, as opposed to a moral stand. Though meat is over-consumed today.

The maximum I would like to eat meat is approx. 3 times a week.

I also encourage my partner to eat beef and lamb, to overcome iron deficiency.

But I can happily go a week without red meat (or white, eg. chicken).

I am also a chef, so it presents me with new challenges and ways to cook.

I am also quite aware of nutrition and iron content in foods, so it shouldn't prove a problem for me.

So far I have been enjoying the change in my diet.

The last meal I had was prawn curry.

I do think it is a healthier diet, but only because of the variety.

There is nothing innately wrong with meat, but it is overeaten at the expense of other food groups.

greenluigi : I'm not from Texas, but I believe in eating beef! I do not want my spaghetti if it doesn't have any meat. You better toss up some wieners or vienna sausages. I don't care what meat it is. Toss up some bacon bits in there or something! I will tell you that I am somewhat picky about my meats, I do not like the fat, the gristle or grease.  Turkey meats are my favorite. Turkey burgers, turkey sausage, turkey bacon. I love it all!

FaithFighter : I could make you an awesome vegetarian spaghetti. Each to thier own, but if you NEED meat in your food you have an addiction, not a diet.

Overconsumption of meat is linked to heart disease, cancer and bowel problems. To name a few. I hope you're ready!
