In TP, the dominion rod was fun in the dungeon that it was used in.

But you know what?

I Don't like one dungeon items.

I mean, why make a weapon that just serves one small purpose like that when you could make it lots more fun?

What if. . . instead of the dominion rod just becoming "more baggage" in Midna's words, You could buy a little Armos somewhere on the map and it was placed in your inventory. . .

You could pull it out anytime and set it down like a bomb, then you could use the dominion rod on it and control it like that big statue!

It would have a little sword, and maybe a shield on it's right. Hoping around like the bigger one do to get around.

The Armos would run on lantern oil, or yellow chu jelly. Running out as you use it, and as it takes damage.

This sound like a good idea?

Yeah that does sound awesome! There needs to be more depth to items in Zelda like this! I still enjoy playing Zelda lots ( as a matter of fact, I playing through a Link Between Worlds now ) and while the items are pretty cool, if they had the depth like this idea you have, that would be extra awesome!
