I assume that is correct, that all Pokemon can be found in the wild somewhere in the game.
Obviously since it's a hack there might not be a guide anywhere to say what Pokemon are in what places, so you just have to find them...

Yeah, I looked all over. When I look at the area of the starters on my pokedex, it says area unknown. I'm guessing it's like yellow.
