It's been a long time since I got a haircut, but I last got a haircut in October of 2012. I got it cleaned up back in March. I attached a picture of what I look like right now. 
I'll post a picture of what I look like after my haircut in the morning if this threads gets posted in. 

The reason that I am making a thread about this is because if you know me, you know that I take my hair seriously. So, if I am getting a hair cut, it's a big deal. 
Yes, there is a reason behind it, but I am not saying what it is until later. 

But yeah, I am getting a haircut. It's kind of a big deal.

Does it really take that long for guys to grow their hair like that? No wonder they really don't want to cut it. It sort of sucks that you're getting a haircut, because it seems like you don't want to. So are you getting it cut still long, medium, short, or bald?

thing1 : Nice military haircut! Just my type of haircut ! I get buzz cuts(I think that is another name for military cut) and military haircuts every four to five months in between haircuts. My haircut would look exactly like your haircut, but a little shorter almost to the skin. It takes you 2 years to get your hair that long in your original post? My hair grows fast (I think) than most other guys, so it's interesting to see how another person grows their hair to the same length in a lot of time, like 2 years in your case than how long it takes me to get my hair that long. What do you do that you think supports (in lack of better words) your hair to grow slower than most people I know?

Barathemos : There are countless threads that you might deem "pointless." The thing is, Thing1 doesn't think it is pointless. He has let his hair grow out for a long time, and he decided to cut it. He wanted to show us what it looked like. I could say that any thread involving furries/MLP is pointless, but it would not be true for the people who like furries and MLP. And regarding the responses outside of yours, I would say that people do not think it's pointless.

And even if it is pointless, why should the local mods care? Is it violating any rules? I don't think so. Stop being obnoxious.

I'm fine with the thread.

We're talking about two years without a haircut, not just something routine.

legacyme3 : Yeah, it's been a real long time. I think the last time I got a haircut was back when I was in the Army. I got a pair of clean ups, but a legit haircut? Yeah, a long time.

Eniitan : Because, it was starting to get too much of a hassle to take care of, it was hurting when I would shake my hair, and I asked my gf how she would prefer, and she admitted that she would like it a bit shorter, so I went ahead and got it all chopped off since I couldn't afford to get it cleaned up at a Salon like I usually do. 
happiness7 : It's close to what I had in the military. As for for you buzz cut comment, it's a way to say it, but I think it's more of a Marine thing. i am honestly not sure. And not quite 2 years. More like a year and a few months. I got it cleaned up a few times, so if I hadn't of done that, the back would probably be close to my shoulder blades instead of just having been able to put the tips of the hair in my mouth.

The new haircut looks really good. It must feel a little strange after letting it grow for so long. It's been...a really long time since I got a haircut. I'm too attached to my hair. lol

Fishergirl7 : I was very anal about my hair. If I leaf touched it, I would have to scrub the crap out of it that night. 
EideticMemory : No need to summon me to my own thread. XD And yes, my girlfriend was a big reason in me cutting it all off. But, I had been thinking about it for the past 2 months or so, so still. 

And I just noticed that the original post with my long hair has 3 dislikes, but my post where I showed the after results with long hair has 3 likes. What the heck is up with that? 

Maybe it was a sign that getting a haircut was a good idea. lol

This is like the 2nd or 3rd time that you cut your hair off.....I understand.

I am surprised that it didn't get so long in two years. My hair grows quick and I think that it would be longer if I wouldn't cut it for two years.
But on the other side, I see it was getting too long. It's good you did it I think.

juuldude : It was actually like a year and a few months, with getting it cleaned up twice. Both times I probably only took an inch or two off, just to clean it up and get the split ends off each time.
