This game was initially added to the Retro Game Room on 3-10-14, since then it has gone through a few revisions in order to correct bugs and add improvements, and I have
updated the game page in the Retro Game Room on 9-4-14 to load the latest version. However, you won't have the latest version from the 'Play Game' link if you've played the game in the RGR prior to 9-4-14 unless you manually
delete the game from your RGR Plugin data folder (instructions for this are below).
The general revisions to the game since it was initially added to the Retro Game Room are as follows:
•
4-04-14 Added a great deal of new content and fixed up the game text to better suit the new content.
•
4-20-14 Minor overworld fixes, various textual changes, and some cosmetic tweaks. The sword is now one dungeon earlier.
•
4-28-14 Added revisions to text and some dungeons after a final test run.
•
7-10-14 Several fixes and corrections. Reintroducing several features of the game that the earlier version of this hack removed. Major revisions, cosmetic, structural, and textual.
•
8-25-14 New version, many bug fixes and improvements.
Your save file will still work with the new version after you've
deleted the old from your Plugin Data folder, but I'm not sure if you will encounter any glitches, or if glitches from the old version will be fixed by loading the save file from the old version into the new version. In any case, you will have the most recent version, and you can always start a new save file.
If you've played this game prior to 9-04-14, in order to get the latest version you'll have to manually delete the old version from your RGR Plugin Data folder. (your save file will still work).
To do so delete the file Legend_of_Zelda,_The_-_New_Awakening_2.2_(Fixed).gbc from this file path on your computer:
Windows 8, 7, Vista - C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginRoms
Windows XP - C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginRoms
Simply open a Windows Run prompt with the Windows key ( ) + R and copy/paste the file path.
Or go to:
Start Menu > All Programs > Vizzed Retro Game Room > Open Plugin Data Folder > Roms.
