I remember reading these books growing up, filled with Christian roots and family friendly.

Although now, looking back at it, I'm not sure what I saw in some parts of it, even disliking some aspects, but hey, you get older.

But One book I love from this series, is the Magician's Nephew.

I was so. . . deep. . . interesting. . .

The woods between the worlds.

The World of Charn.

And Narnia at it's creation.

I love it, so, so much.

The other book seem dull in comparison to me- except for the Dawn Treader. (unfaithful movie remake though.)

Oh well, at least they got the part with Aslan right at the end.

But I loved that mystical woods an that connected all world, serene in their own beauty and epicness.

So, which book is yours? :3

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

I LOVE the Narnia series! My favorite book would either be The Silver Chair, or Magician's Nephew. The Magician's Nephew, I liked for the same reasons as you did; plus, I always liked to imagine the forest between worlds, and how red Charn was. And the early Narnia seemed really captivating.

As for Silver Chair, it just seemed grand. Plus I always wondered about the northern countries in that world. I was a bit dissappointed that it is mostly giants and other unintelligible creatures though. I also liked how this was basically one of the only books where the White Witch isn't the main villain. I also liked Puddleglum, and how he is apparentally the most wide-eyed person in his whole tribe. Plus my favorite line to this day still is "You guys have nothing to worry about, they'll kill you two quickly, they'll take me away."

I wonder what the character limit on this thing is.

I admit to not having gotten through all of the books, although I did read a fair few. I think I was halfway through the Voyager of Dawn Treader, meaning I haven't read Silver Chair or Last Battle at all.

I really liked The Horse and His Boy, but I remember liking Prince Caspian more.

But they were all really good, and I wouldn't mind trying to tackle the series again.

A user of this :

true, I liked how the sun of Charns world was old, and red.

I always wondered what had happened to this defeated world, It was a world of it's end. Apparently, Adam's first wife, (why have I not heard of her after looking into all this Jewish stuff, was she only in the Catholic legands?) Lilia, was sent to this world after Adam rejected her.

I always thought that she gave birth, and hence the race of Charn began.

A very epic empire, with lot's of interesting speculation alongside Jewish tradition, legends, sin, truth, and many other aspects that made me see just how awesome our theology could be in theory, especially when One considers the pre-flood world, nephilim, super large cherry tomatoes and all that other good stuff surrounding creation. Just. . . so EPIC to think about.

And those silver apples.

Are those. . . from the tree of eternal life or something?

Or perhaps the Narnian counterpart- a little bit different.

They granted eternal life when eaten.

I wonder. . . where the tree of knowledge is.

Of and evil, kind of knowledge.

the ability to discern. . .

between good. . .

and evil. . .

And that world was so young before evil was brought upon it.

EideticMemory :

It was aimed for younger audiences, but outside the talking animals, it is one of my favorite series, mostly for the amazing spiritual implications, what with all the magic and stuff.

(I loved that book that Lucy read on that on island, I always wondered what I may find if I could read it.)

Ah yes, Dawn Treader captured my imagination so much.

Just the many, near- analogies that each island had.

The lessons that they wanted to teach in such a beautiful, poetic fashion.

You MUST finish that one. It. . . is so epic.

The movie really does suck in comparison. It was so. . .

Modernized.

Like american dubbed anime. XD

Adding seven swords that aren't even important, I mean seriously. It's like they guy was trying to make it a video game plot- which sucks because it's such a typical, (get the seven tingies to beat the game!) deal.

ugh.

And the battle at the end.

Islands, hashed together and out of order.

The original meaning, completely cut out of the authors original designs. Making money off of the original name.

But they got Aslan right at the end.

I would highly reccomend that you read the book before the movie, it seems that stories are best told from the authors original point of view. ^^'

You won't regret it.

Some great reads. I've forgotten how much I love them.

Thanks guys for resurfacing my memory. XD
