I am a Pokemon fan and I've played some Pokemon hacks as well.
Here are the ones that I've played:

Fire Red Omega: Different fire starters with good move sets as they level, gym leaders have different Pokemon, and different Pokemon from the wild encounters
Pyschic: if you like legendary Pokemon in your team
Shiny Gold: basically the 2nd generation in GBA format

Welcome! I haven't played many hacks I do have to say the pokemon emerald 386 is a great hack. Sadly, I haven't played any others yet but I plan on trying some more soon. Have fun here playing and posting the people on this site are wonderful helpful and just awesome.
