After all that hype of Andrew wiggins getting drafted by the cavs, he is gone already.

If you are not aware, Wiggins and Bennett were the 1st overall picks in the nba the past two seasons.

Love is a player that had been rumored to be traded for years, but nothing ever was finalized, until now.

The trade cannot be finalized until august 23 due to nba rules, and either team can back out of the deal before that date.

How do you think this will effect both franchises?

How much weight did Lebron have on making this trade happen?

Who won this trade today, and in 5 years from now?

discuss.

Bennett had terrible numbers for being a 1st pick and Wiggins isn't developmentally ready for the NBA just yet.  He should have stayed at Kansas for another year.  Their last tournament game, he scored what... 4 points?  He's physically able but not that great just yet.

I think the Cavs will win the East because they don't have to contend with anyone.  They could use more inside presence and they won't beat anyone in the West because those teams are too deep with their benches.

It's a good trade for the Cavs who are building a great team.  Labron did most of the work to make it happen and he has great pieces around him.  The real question is how well Irving can play off-ball of Labron gets it most of the time.  I see him moving to a 2-3 wing player, taking up a lot of space and creating.
If anything, this trade saves his body from banging around the blocks for 40 minutes a night.

warmaker :

Wiggins will be a grimey player in about 3 years. Wolves have 3 years to build a team around him to convince him to stay.

Bennett wont come close to being as good as wiggins, but I think bennett will become a well rounded player, becoming a respectable point producer and defender.
