Why do you side with the party that you side with?

As many of you know, I side with Republicans. I side with Republicans for a lot of reasons.

1. Abortion

I don't understand how abortion is legal, and how it is even possible to argue that it should be. You are murdering a child. The child did nothing wrong, and is not able to defend itself. Many people argue that the fetus is not a human being. That is false. It contains the same kind of DNA that I have and that you have. It is just as alive as any person will ever be. To say that it is not alive because it is still developing is like saying that I am not alive because I am still growing and developing. Many people also argue that making abortion illegal is violating women's rights. Last I checked "the right to kill" is not a thing. People say that it is the woman's body and that she should be able to do what she wants with it. That is completely FALSE. It is NOT the woman's body, it is the fetus's body. They are two separate human beings. Saying that they are the same person is saying that if I eat a cow (hamburger) that the cow (hamburger) is now part of my body. Just because it is in my body does not make it a part of my body. There is also the argument that aborting the baby is doing it a favor, because the parents will not be able to care for the baby. That is where adoption comes in to play. There are always families waiting to adopt kids. Put your kid up for adoption and be done with it. There is no need to kill it. Some women even argue that they should be able to kill their child just because they don't want it. While that is a very sick argument, we even have a solution for that, being the same solution for the previous predicament. Adoption. Abortion is also very harmful to the mother. It can cause mental and physical problems such as depression, pelvic inflammatory disease, increased risk of ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages, etc. Another argument is the case of rape. That is kind of a gray area. I believe that the mother should not have to care for the baby, but I think that she should have to give birth. Then she can put it up for adoption. I don't really even understand why abortion is necessary. There are other forms of contraception that work pretty much every time. The only time that I think abortion should be allowed is if the pregnancy will harm the mother. I am strongly against abortion, which is one reason that I side with republicans.

2. Gun Control

I sort of understand where Democrats are coming from when they say that they want to ban guns. The problem is, they do not think it through. They think that if you ban guns, then there will be no way to get them. That is completely untrue. Criminals will always have a way to get guns, it will just take the guns out of the hands of the innocent people that use them for self defense. Let's say that we live in Chicago, where guns are banned. Joe is sitting in his home, alone, watching TV. All of a sudden, a random man in a ski mask breaks into his house. The man has a gun. Even though it isn't legal, the criminal got it anyway. Joe calls 911, but the man shoots and kills him, robs his house, and leaves before the cops get there. The next week the same man breaks into another house and does the same thing. He does this five times before he is finally caught. Now let's take the same scenario, and apply it to a city in Oklahoma. Joe is sitting in his home, alone, watching TV. All of a sudden a random man in a ski mask breaks into his house. The man has a gun. Joe then pulls out his (legal) gun and shoots the intruder. The end. Or, Joe points the gun at the intruder and he runs away. Or Joe points the gun at the computer, gets him against the wall, and calls the cops who come and arrest him. See the difference? Now you may say "The criminal wouldn't be able to get the gun in the first scenario anyway since they are illegal!" I'm sorry, since when do criminals follow laws? If it works like that then maybe we should make heroin and cocaine and meth illegal too! Oh wait... they are. And people still find ways to get them. Anyone remember the 18th amendment? The one that banned alcohol? How did that work out? Alcohol was illegal, yet it was still everywhere and available to anyone that wanted to break the law and get some. The same would apply to guns, except that the innocent law-abiding citizens would not break the law to get one. Only the criminals would. Meaning that the good guys cannot defend themselves, making it even easier for the bad guys. I am strongly against gun control, which is another reason that I side with Republicans.

3. Feminism

While not all democrats are feminists, 99% of feminists are democrats. Now I have no problem with real feminists. The kind that existed in the 60s, when women were not equal to men. But women are equal now. What I hate are modern day feminists, also known as Feminazis. These are the kind of people that scream rape if a guy compliments them, that think that all men should be castrated, and think that all men should be killed. I'll just show you some segments from feminist posts and you'll understand why I hate them.

While I know that democrats and libertarians do not like them either, the fact stands that there are pretty much no republican feminists, and they are pretty much all democrats.

4. God (Read this one, it isn't exactly what you think)

I don't really care what other people believe. I am not saying that everyone needs to believe in God. But what I am saying is that God should be left in the Pledge of Allegiance, it should be left on our money, etc. The majority of this country believes in God. We should not have to cater to the minority and remove all references to God just because a few people get upset by it. That is another reason that I side with Republicans.

5. Environmental Issues

First off, Global Warming is not real. Here in New York, we had a cold winter and we are having one of the coolest summers in the past 20 years. The polar ice caps have actually GROWN in the past 2 years. You can look it up, pretty much any website that you go to will say it since it is a fact. The reason that the Earth has had changes in climate is because it is a natural cycle of the Earth. It is not because of human activity. I will admit that out activity does affect it, but very very VERY little. The change because of us isn't even noticeable. I also don't really care about the environment. I mean, I know that it is important, but I think that we are in good shape as long as we aren't pumping tons of crap into the air and the ocean. Basically what I am saying is that we don't need to put any additional money and effort into trying to protect the environment, but we shouldn't completely ditch it. We should keep doing what we are doing.

6. Minimum Wage

The minimum wage should not be raised. It would be terrible for everyone. Businesses would have to cut employees because they wouldn't be able to afford them anymore, destroying jobs. Some companies would even get rid of employees altogether in favor of machines instead. It would also cause the price of everything to go up, since companies would need to make more money to pay their employees. So really, while that employee that gets to keep his job is making more, it will really be the same since the price of everything will go up. So all you are doing is getting rid of jobs. It would also cause a lot of small business to go out of business because they are unable to pay their workers. So it is a bad idea all around.

7. Welfare

The welfare system is abused. First, the majority of people are not even looking for work and are just taking their free crap instead of working for it. That is completely unfair to everyone. You are taking money from the working people and giving it to the people that don't work. Why should Joe, who works hard for his money, be forced to give some of his money to Pedro, who just sits on his butt all day? You also have people that receive money from the government AND work secretly. The whole system is just crap.

8. Drugs

I believe that drugs should not be legalized. They cause you to do stupid things. You should not legally be able to take something that alters the way that you think unless there are A LOT of benefits coming from it. Basically, unless it is keeping you alive or something, I do not think that you should be able to use drugs. Now when I say drugs I mean things like marijuana, cocaine, heroin, etc. Not like Ibuprofen and stuff that doesn't have harmful affects. Honestly, I don't think that alcohol should be legal either. It messes with your brain just like marijuana and cocaine. I am not suggesting that we legalize it though. That was already attempted and it did not work out well. I do think it is just insane to legalize even more dangerous drugs, though. This is another reason that I tend to side with Republicans.

9. Israel

I don't really know much about this issue. All I know is that Palestine attacked first, and that Israel is striking back. That sounds fair to me.

10. Illegal Immigration

Heavily guard the border. Not only will this help with the immigration problem, it will also create jobs. Put armed guards everywhere and order then to keep everyone out that tries to come illegally. If they try to get through anyway, have the guards shoot them. Word will get around eventually and people will stop trying to cross the border illegally. Illegal immigrants are criminals and should be treated as such. They should not have the right to vote, nor should they be able to work here until they become citizens.

11. Voter ID

This is a big one. I think that in order to vote, all voters should be required to present a valid form of identification. This makes sure that only citizens can vote. It will also help with voting fraud tremendously. And if you do not think that voting fraud is a thing, here are some facts for you from the last election in 2012. In 59 voting districts in the Philadelphia region, Obama received 100% of the votes - with not even a single vote recorded for Romney. (A mathematical and statistical impossibility). In 21 districts in Wood County Ohio, Obama received 100% of the votes where GOP inspectors were illegally removed from their polling locations - and not one single vote was recorded for Romney. (A statistical impossibility). In Wood County Ohio, 106,258 people voted in a county with only 98,213 eligible voters. In St. Lucie County Florida, there were 175,574 registered voters, but 247,713 votes were cast. Palm Beach County Florida had a 141% voter turnout. In one Ohio County, Obama won by 108% of the total number of eligible voters. Obama won in every state that did not require a photo ID to vote and lost in every state that did require a photo ID in order to vote. If you make it so that you must present a valid form of identification to vote, most of this could be prevented.

I side with Republicans because of the reasons stated above. Why do you side with the party that you side with?

My party: Libertarian Party of the United States

I don't agree with 100% of everything that Libertarians stand for. Some of them want to abolish minimum wage, I don't. Also, many stand for complete lack of government role in the market economy. I think the government role should be greatly reduced, but not totally abolished.?The way of libertarianism is to promote liberty, simply enough. American citizens have free will, and should be able to do as they please, so long as they do not cause harm
(physical, financial, or any other sort) to another human being.

As Thomas Jefferson said, "If it doesn't break my leg, or pick my pocket, then why should I care?"?I side with Libertarians because I'm not a fan of restrictions. Between the two major parties, I lean towards Democrats, but I still agree with Republicans on several topics.

Drugs: let's legalize them. All of them. Cannabis, heroin, ecstasy, alcohol, meth, you name it. Forbid the sale or use of previously-banned drugs to anyone under the age of 18, of course, but an adult of sound mind should be able to make his/her own decisions, and if he wants to use drugs on the weekends, or get high out of his mind 24/7, he should have the right to do so. Along with that right comes responsibility, though. Never should "I was high" or "I was drunk" be an excuse for harming another human being in any way, and someone who does would pay the penalty regardless of their sobriety or mental state at the time of the incident. And of course, employers still have the right to fire you if you're so drunk or high that you can't do your job. It's all about responsibility.

Women's Issues & Abortion: For the most part, women have equal rights in this country, but not entirely. Gender, or lack thereof, is not to be considered when discussing salary, loans, employment, rental opportunities, or anything of that sort. That just isn't fair. Crimes of rape obviously bring forth undue distress to another human being and should be severely punished. As for how women are treated in the public, that is more of a social problem, and no politics will directly change that, and quite honestly they shouldn't. Being a d-bag isn't illegal, but there are repercussions in the social circles. Abortion needs to be legalized immediately, regardless of reason. There are some people who are not capable of raising a child, and the adoption system is overflowing. No one is forcing you to get an abortion, and if you're pro-life and would rather see the child live, by all means, have the baby and raise it or put it up for adoption. But you do NOT have the right to tell someone else what they can or can't do with their body, just because your feelings and/or your holy book differ from their opinion!

Religion: Freedom of religion is important. You should have the right to worship whatever you please (or have no religion at all), as long as you do so peacefully. However, with freedom of religion comes the inevitability that there will be people who follow different religions, many of which have clashing ideals and morals. A governing body that oversees these people cannot adhere to a religion, not even if 99% of the country follows a single religion. The house and senate are no place for religion, nor is the bank. Remove all mentions of any religious adherence on circulated currency immediately. Remove all indoctrination of religion from schools immediately as well. There are hundreds of religions and it is unfair to teach the doctrines of the majority religion. The best way that our most intelligent scholars see fit to teach children the ways that the world works is through science, and so that is how it shall be done. Anyone wishing to add faith to their children's studies may do so at their local church/mosque/synagogue/whatever.

Military & War: We do not need to be involved in the military affairs of other countries. Period. We never should have placed U.S. troops in Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia, Somalia, Iraq, or Afghanistan, and we don't need them in Syria or Israel. Our military needs to be significantly downsized. This is especially important in this day and age where our enemies do not carry a flag and do not wear a uniform. We are lucky right now that their presence mostly exists in other countries, and we need to stay out of those countries if we would like things to remain that way. Any presence that these groups have in our own country should be dealt with immediately. Keep international trade borders open, as these help our economy immensely, but keep our troops stateside until there is an imminent threat of war with another nation. All diplomatic options should be exhausted before resorting to war.

Immigration: Legal immigration should be welcomed. The process for legal immigration needs to be streamlined, and priority should be given to gifted people who can benefit our country. I'm talking about entrepreneurs, highly educated people, innovators, and such. Illegal immigration is exactly how it sounds: illegal. All those squatting in this country illegally need to be given 180 days to become documented or leave. Violence will be used if necessary, but only as a last resort.

Science & Space Exploration: This country needs more scientists. There are a near-infinite number of problems that need to be solved. Diseases, extinctions, conservation of natural resources... the list goes on and on. Also, aside from the depths of the oceans, we've explored everything on this planet. Space is limitless, and we should be doing everything we can to explore it. Why have we never gone back to the moon? Why do we not have more knowledge of the planets? One of our government's top budget priorities should be NASA. Maybe they can give NASA some extra money if they'd quit funding the war on drugs and wars in foreign nations.

Gun Control: The thing about guns is that they are a sticky subject, because they are a tool that is easily manufactured, and they have one purpose: killing. However, we must not interfere with a person's right to own property, including guns, so long as they deserve that right. And the only way they would not deserve that right is if it were proven that they were not responsible enough to own a gun. Based on that alone, I would suggest shooting classes in high schools that train people on gun safety. Just like you need to get a drivers' license, you would need to get a gun license. No license, no gun. (This is one point where I staunchly disagree with most libertarians, the very thought of gun licensing makes most libertarians cringe.)

Republican.

I would love to vote for a socialist party (and one that didn't support excessive welfare at the same time), but there is no liberal party in my nation that is socially conservative. Instead, I vote for the Republicans that fit the bill.
