Fire emblem is a turn based stradegy game. You move characters around a board and kill the enemys. The catch is, each character has a name, and backround. If one of them dies, they are gone for good, and an auto save after every turn makes it so you can't cheat death. The best thing about this game is the classes. Summoners, shamans, fighters, druids, pupils, knights, generals, pegasis knights, wyvren lords, ect. (theres alot) Each class has it's strengths and weaknesses. Mages can't take on berserkers, but can kill fliers easily. Another thing is the different types of wepones and magic. Fire, dark, anime, light, swords, lances, maces, bows, axes, all that you get at armorys, stores, and drops from enemys. (Theives can steal them though). (axes are good against swords, swords against lances, lances, axes, and so with magic and bows) There are iron, steel, silver, killer, and all sorts of wepone assortments as well. And so with magic and bows.
This is my favorite fire emblem. I'll tell you why. If you are a fan of or played fire emblem, then you know, when you get a seal, and your character is 10 or up, you can rank them up, no choices. In this one, it's the same, but you get to choose between 2 classes each time. That is cool.
The FE games always start out, your kingdom is threatened and the others are falling, save them. Your main character is always a lord with a special weapone. They are always accompaned by a paladin, or experiance hog. Seth, who is the paly in this one, is good to use if you are new, otherwise forget it. Anyway, you are saving the kingdoms. The lord on this game is Erika. But about 1/3 through the game, you can choose to continue your path with her, or her AWESOME BRO EPHRAIM<<<<<
Gameplay8/10 Why 8? It is a great game, with like...30 chapters and 1 bounus chapter, but that's the thing, only one bonus chapter. The other ones have like 10. And the game can give you a headache in later chapters. Between every chapter there is a LONG dialouge sequence, but this can be skipped by pressing start. The thing I didn't like was that, you could only use your weapones for a certian number of times, then it breakes, so you have to buy more. In the game there is a Tower called Valini. In there, it is littered with enemys that you can kill to level up your characters. Arenas are around so you can make a little money as well. Battles have great movie like graphics, though they can seem to take to long, esspecally dark magic fights. Still, it is very fun. The good thing is, no matter what level you are, you only need 100 EXP to level up again.
Graphics10/10 Concidering it's on the GBA, the graphics are astounding. Each character has individual features, and the movement and battle animations are brilliantly constructed. The game was created by SquareEnix, a company that make hard core stradegy games, and have lots of money to create these games, so the graphics better be good.
Boss Rating3/10 NOT GOOD!!!! The bosses EVEN THE LAST ONE, are to easy. One critical hit, and they're dead. The reason it is a three is because, you have to figure out which characters to attack him with. Who ever kills them, gets a level up.
Fun Facter12/10 This game is the bomb. With the different weaponry and animations, you will be buisy for a long time. When you get bored of one story line you just have to go on another one.
Ending Rating10/10 Every kingdom is saved and peace is restored. You get to see what happens to all the characters after the war. Pretty good ending i'd say.
