What is the Deep Web?

What are your thoughts on it?

I really have no clue what it actually is other than what? an alternate search engine?

but how does it work? How do you go deep?

Do you use the deep web?

Is vizzed on the deep web, it appears pretty deep to me?

Let me answer your last question first, vizzed is not in the deep web and I will explain why. The deep web is the part of the Internet that is normally hidden to the public for example one cannot just access it by Google searching it, and if any nothing of that deep web will appear as a result of your searches. Meaning that the only way to access the deep web is through some shady ways or some links that you will get with certain connections. Deep web can contain many classified things or illegal things that were shut down for the public but can still be access by the government if needed later on. My thoughts on this matter? Well I think the Internet being the place that it is was bound to have a Deep Web even before I knew about it (the Deep Web) this because of a question I asked myself before, how come there is no extremely inappropriate content on the Internet (like illegal stuff and black market) where does it all go. Well there you have it most of the bad things, drug providers, or murder live videos (yes is that bad), Basically the deep web contains many things that are classified and should not be available to the public, I recommend not to go there since I don't see how it could be of any use to you or anybody reading this (hopefully). How to go deep that is indeed a good question you can go to some parts of the deep web with your normal engine BUT you SHOULDN'T do so because most of the web is tracked by the government etc, in order to track the criminals or users I'm not sure if accessing the Deep Web is illegal (most likely not) but keep in mind that you will raise some suspicions if you wonder around it (especially with a normal browser that doesn't cover your IP address) now the engine for these kinds of stuff is Tor it is a browser that has tools to access the Deep Web even to the Dark Internet: any sites that are not available through conventional means) Tor hides your IP address and gives you tools to access even deeper to the deep web. I have never used the Deep Web (as in actually using it to find a website) I have been in the Deep Web with some friend, we just saw like an index and well it is not a healthy place. So people don't visit those kinds of things PM and I will give you the a description more in detail since I am aware that young people may read this.

According to a deep web search that I just did here, Vizzed is unknown. It's been my experience that you should never swim in the deep end unless you're prepared to drown.

Totts : Hello Totts! In college in my English 102 class, we go over "deep web" and "free web". Deep web is basically according to the definition given to us in class, all sites that
can only be accessed with the person going on the site to pay a fee to get on the site, like some library databases for college websites. Not all college library databases are considered a "Deep web" website because you don't pay a fee in using some college library databases, but if you are paying a fee to access the site then supposedly by the definition given to me in college, you are using a "Deep web" website. I think "deep web" sites have a more specific style of research on their websites that can help a student or person educate themselves throughout those sites. Library databases have a lot of research on many political topics, or even just topics that pique someone's interest, like gun control or health related topics. That is just some of what is on a "Deep web" library database. There are many types of issues or topics you can research on in a "Deep web" college library database. I do not think the "Deep web" is "an alternate search engine". Scratch that last sentence maybe it is an alternate search engine because I am thinking that you search for topics on a "Deep web" website and get research for yourself to enlighten your thinking processes, so maybe it is "an alternate search engine" (I don't know). For my essays in English 102, or second English class, I had to use both "Deep web" and "Free web" websites. As how my English class explains the "Deep web", yes I use the deep web to help me research up topics that I am interested in or if I have an essay to compose, I use the deep web to get sources to use in my paper. I also think that what "Collapz3" is saying is somewhat correct since there is money distribution going on in those criminal sites, but I am not sure if it is a "Deep web" website or not. What do you think the "Deep web" is?

happiness7 : I have seen some videos that explain the web thoroughly the "Deep Web" are webistes that you can't find with your conventional search engines, they say Google has over 25 billion websites indexed, however,  it is said an immense amount is found in the deep web. Websites that have been blocked or that cannot be access wihout a subscription or password are part of the deep web.The guy in the video i was watching broke down the deep web into different levels, the top levels consisted of stuff that wasn't all that bad, and as you got lower I think the level of troubles that could be brought to you for visiting the websites increases, Deep Web is in summary are websites that are not meant for general public.

Collapz3 : Yeah, I agree with you, but I just don't know if criminal sites are part of the "deep web." Also, you were saying that you need a subscription or password to get on the "Deep web", well when going to some college library databases, you have to enter your ID you get from the school as a username and you enter a password that you created to get on the "Deep web" of the college library databases, so I guess both of our definitions of the "Deep web" are correct in a way for an answer as to what a "Deep web" is on the Internet (just want to give a heads up and prove my point). I searched it on Wikipedia (I don't know if I should trust what is on Wikipedia because all my college professors say not to use Wikipedia in an essay as a source) and Wikipedia talks about how the "Deep web" shouldn't be confused with criminal sites or places on the Internet, but I will let you read it and decide for yourself if Wikipedia is something you would trust in finding answers for what your looking up on, or looking up about the "Deep web".

Here is the Wikipedia page on the "Deep web" URL:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Web
It says in the beginning of the Wikipedia page on the "Deep web" about not confusing the "Deep web" with criminal sites, or it says something similar to that degree.
