I have switched to a somewhat different computer, same etc. except video card blah blah, but I've noticed that playing games on the MAME and LYNX emulators result in a lot of lag, audibly if not always visually. Additionally, the MAME game I tried, Berzerk, wasn't even playable. The controls, additionally, don't work with the Lynx emulator with the exception of the arrow keys and ASD (the latter only occasionally). To fix it I uninstalled and then re-installed the RGR Plugin, same with the Runtime thingie, and the issues, at least with the Lynx emulator (I have not tried the MAME emulator) have not been resolved. I should also note that the lag increases exponentially once I start taking screenshots.

Terrace : This -might- be due to your internet access. Are you still on the internet while you're playing the game?

Another thing you could do is start the task manager, right click on the task, click "go to process" and then rick click the process and set the priority level to "high".

Also, what browser are you running? I've had some trouble with certain games on browsers, and I switched to others and it worked fine.

The reason lag increases while taking screenshots is because it is accessing the uploader and uploading your screenshot.

Did you try the exact same game on the old computer as well as the new computer?  There are many MAME games that simply lag because their files are huge.

When you say that Berzerk game wasn't playable... do you mean that it literally would not play, or that it lagged so much you might not as well have tried to play it?

What other games did you try on your new machine, and did you have the exact same issues?  Did you try any other systems?

It might just be your Internet if you've tried all those things, as yoshi stated.

yoshirulez! : Yes, I stay on the Internet while playing the game. I use Google Chrome. And yes, I understand that accessing the uploader takes time, but before the lag from it was nearly non-existant, or at the least, marginal. Though that may be because before I mostly used Vizzed to play Pokémon hacks and homebrews.

Singelli : No, not yet. Well, first Berzerk simply lagged a lot. After some reloads, trying to see if I could get it to go faster, it didn't even work, only displaying a few random pixels.

The other games I've tried on it are California Games and Pokémon Snakewood. Snakewood lags; whereas on the old machine it didn't. Or at least the lag was incremental.

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll try them and report back to see if there is any success.
