Alright i need updating my Android phone. Its a Verizon SAMSUNG sch-i510 DROID CHARGE 4G STEALTH, i tried many times to update it..but it says..."Your System is Up to Date". Is there any other way to update it....like forcing it to update.

Its on Android Version 2.3.6

supercool22 : Keep in mind that I do NOT fix phones for a living or anything like that, so this is an opinion.

Well, I don't know too much about android phones, but I remember that I once did a factory restore on an android phone I had and there is no way that this wouldn't work for you, but it would get rid of all your information including contacts and pictures.

You should try to look up how to save your contacts and pictures and stuff. And then of course save all of that stuff and do a factory restore and update to the current version and then put all of your information back onto the phone. This might have some unforeseen consequences so DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Okay, you have an Android. So here are some tips:
Clear the Google Play Services's cache. That might work.
Reboot your phone. That is the simplest way to solve almost any problems concerning Android.
Try downloading and booting the updated factory image.
And if all this didn't work, either get a new phone or stick with 2.3.6! You can still get most of the stuff found on most modern phones.

Sorry to say it, but some phones, for whatever reason, aren't allowed to go past a certain version, or may be stuck on a certain version forever. Mt last phone was version 4.0, and it wouldn't update to Kit Kat, or version 4.4. The only thing you can really do is buy a new phone. There is a possibility that if you wait, your phone will eventually be able to update, but I doubt that will happen so buying a new phone is probably the best way to go.

If you're going to buy a new phone anyway, you might as well factory reset your phone and see if it does anything. I doubt it will, but phones can work their magic . Do what jack says about saving your data and try it if you do plan to get a new phone. I'd say it would be worth it because there are some stuff you can't do on a version so far down.

If you do get a new phone, I recommend the Moto G. It's only got 8 GB of space on it, but the rest of the specs are amazing. It won't lag on anything, trust me on this. I have the Moto G so it can't be that bad . It has Android 4.4.4 so it's the second newest version out there. Here's the link. Peace .

I highly suggest you get a new phone, from what I know that model isn't too good (if the phone works fine for you, that's fine). Some phones can't be updated because the version isn't supported by that phone, if you know for a fact that there's another version for you phone, you can for the most part, transfer your phones data to a newer phone.

supercool22 : Try plugging it into the computer, and installing the software that will pop up for your phone. After that, see if it prompts you for a system update or whatever you are trying to do.
