                                                                                                            MARIO KART 64!!!!!

Oh boy... what can I say about this game...   This game is better then eating chocolate and candy combined... This game is better then finding a 10$ bill and spending it on chocolate and candy and chips...   Combined... This game is better then Every N64 game ever..... (with the exception of ocarina of time and SM64, of course!!!)...  Combined...

You see, every  racing-themed N64 game has at least 1 good thing about them. MK 64 has nearly all of them. Good graphics, Awesome Controls, and great track design. WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, I SHALL START THE REVIEW!!!!!!

         GRAPHICS...............8/10

The graphics are great... The unique style of the different tracks are well done, the character select screen's icons are very fluid and high res. the animation in general is very slick in general... However, there are 2 problems, one is the racers are flat and low res. I mean, the characters and every thing else besides the track itself is flat and blurry. it feels awkward at times. Two, the wario statium's dirt track looks ugly. I'm gonna give this an 8 out of 10.

         SOUND/MUSIC......9/10

I loved The music. It is catchy and memorable, the songs are recognisable

OK, this is not terrible for your first review, but there are a few problems.

First, easy on the caps. I get that caps might get people to look at the review, but overuse of them is NOT reccomended. It looks immature and improper.

Second, Watch the spacing. It's uneven, and there's a huge gap separating the last paragraph from the bottom of the post.

Finally, this could use some more detail. For example, don't just say you like the music, explain why it's good!

Best of luck with your future reviews (if you plan on making more)!

Even though I absolutely love this game, this review could use a lot more work. I agree with Boxia's comments about your capitalization and your spacing. But also, try to make your reviews at least 1000 words. Go into every single little aspect about the game you're reviewing. You got the graphics and the sound categories, but there's also the story, addictiveness, depth, and the overall categories, too. Next time, try and write a paragraph for each part of the game. Then, make your necessary spaces when you're moving on to another part.

Before I did my first game review, I looked at other reviews, especially the ones that were really good and got a lot of feedback. You'll see that most of them talk about every little detail about each respective category, and all of them are very long. If you try and follow what those guys are doing, you'll look back on review and realize that its a lot better.

Good luck with any future reviews!

Not bad for a first review, but as the other 2 pointed out, you should really try to focus on the overall content of your review as well as the way your present it.

First off, I think you should try and talk about the other categories that are missing from your review, such as addictiveness, story, depth and difficulty because they are all very important components to the review itself, and you should always try to go into detail with each one.

Second, you should try to minimize the number of times you use caps in your review, it is okay if you use it for the heading of each part like for the graphics and sound and whatnot to make it stick out more, but you shouldn't use it in the actual review because it just looks immature and unprofessional.

My best word of advice would be to look at other detailed reviews and maybe try to scope out what they do to make their reviews longer and more comprehensive and if all else fails, check out this thread which has some really great tips: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=58382

I
hope this helps you out, don't be discouraged and keep on reviewing!
