Well I like using all 3 of them but I usually only used colored pencils when I draw because I can give my art more detail and structure without feeling like I'm going to mess it up. Drawing is a passion of mine and always has been. I feel crayons and markers are more for feeling in areas of my drawings.

I have always loved coloring with markers. They feel more comfortable for me to use than color pencils and especially crayons. I use Copic's markers, they have a whole lot of different shadings for the same color so it's helps when I want all of the details of my drawings to stand out. Sure it can get very expensive to own them but it is always worth it in the end.

I only used color pencils, even when I was younger. They make for a more uniform color, and just look nicer. Markers bleed through paper, and crayons leave bits of themselves all over the page. =P

While it is a pain to sharpen them, there are packs that work a lot like mechanical pencils, where you twist the top in order to get more lead.

After I started using such a pack myself, I never turned back.

I like... the fill tool.  I can't draw with traditional media to save my life, but sometimes I like to doodle with digital - you can sketch on one layer, clean it up on another and then totally erase the sketch so you can use that layer to put in color.  Just 'magic wand' the area you want to color on the line art layer, manually select any little narrow bits that the wand missed, then switch layers and fill the area with the proper color.  It's relatively easy to shade digitally too!

Plus of course you can fix mistakes instantly instead of working forever to erase them and still being able to see where you made the mistake anyway.

I really like to color with both crayons and color pencils. Color pencils tend to look nice, it is simple to use to keep inside lines, and it is easier to get detail with them. Crayons tend to be more brighter and colorful, and usually, when I am in the mood to color my drawings, I like my drawings to be a bit bright and full of colors. I find it easier to get more color in with crayons then color pencils, but color pencils usually look neater in drawings than crayons.
In the end, I prefer crayons, though color pencils are very close and I like to use them just as much.

It kinda depends where I'm at.If I'm at school and I'm drawing,I use colored pencils. But if i'm at home,I use crayons. But if I had to choose,I would pick Colored Pencils, since they look neater in my opinion.

From an experienced cartoonist here, I'll say colored pencils...... they honestly give more of a "realistic" feeling to the work, and are very neat, while crayons and markers are downright messy. Crayons are also hard to grip, and they make my hand tired very fast  Markers make too much of a mess for me.... Any cartoon/comic I've tried with marker has ended up in the trash

Unlike markers and crayons, colored pencils have a realistic artistic look and feeling to it. Depending on the shade that you desire, colored pencils have this chance depending on how light or dark you want a certain to be.
Markers can be rather too dark leading to see its marks from a back of a paper. Crayons have this greasy and messy feeling that it leaves on paper and on your hands.

As an artist, I much preferred colored pencils over markers and crayons, mostly because markers leaves a mess and once mark, you can't erase, and as for crayons, is's almost the same thing as well, but not as much of a mess though.

But mostly, it depends on what I'm drawing and what materials I want to use.

I like colored pencils the most. You can be very precisely and you can add light and shadow in your drawings. I have made a drawing recently (You can still view it in the Stories / Simulation / Art forum if you wish, it's called 'My Mario drawing!') where I have used colored pencils and it came out very well. Crayons are cool but they can leave messy spots and markers are pretty good too but they leave pretty thick lines. Still, I have used crayons and markers on school many times and they were pretty good though.

Also, if you use colored pencils, I mostly use Caran d'ache, those are great.

I find things drawn in pencil and colored pencil to look better than crayon, and personally, I don't like markers, they are messy and absorb other colors which gets annoying, I have never used a truly yellow marker, its always got black in it. Crayons and markers don't go well with normal pencil ore each other and pencil and colored pencil go well because there both pencil. I do like crayons but I just don't like holding them, it feels weird in my hand... I don't know why.

i used this as a test for my layout... i forgot to put header and footer text the outlines are also too dark so i will change my font color to this

Finally, people are making sense with their replies.

ddjj701 : There is a thread where you can post to test out your layout, you know... I think it's in the Programming forum, if I am not mistaken.

I prefer color pencils. They give a soft touch to the drawing and can easily make use of it to create shades of the same color. Spray cans and markers are good too but that's for a different story.

I definitely prefer using pencil crayons (or coloured pencils as you listed them) because I think it looks better and makes a drawing or picture look more realistic. I never really used crayons or markers even when I was younger, so out of those three I prefer pencil crayons the most.
