Hi everyone! I'm new, but I probably won't be incredibly active on the board.I have a quick question with regard to saving in a game: I notice that we need to save IN whatever game we're playing, but also "then save from the menu". Where exactly do I do the latter of the two?Thanks!

Hi! Welcome to Vizzed! It makes me sad to hear that you won't be that active on the board. It's a really great community.

As for the saving, there are 2 ways to save. You can use save states by pressing F2 to save and F4 to load, or you can save like you normally would if you were playing the game on a console. Saving from the menu is saving in the game. You do not need to save both ways, but you can if you want to.

Thank you again for the warm welcome!  I have just a few more questions, actually: I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to [online] safety. Has the site ever been hacked before? Has there ever been a data breach? If I absolutely must, is there some way I can have my account deleted, and my information (i.e. e-mail address, birthday) deleted along with it? I'm just a bit nervous with having to submit my [full] birthday on a "random website" (as AWESOME of a gaming site this is! )

sjmw71 : I believe the site was hacked once, but a very, very long time ago. pacman1755 told me about it, so you are better off asking him. I do not believe there has ever been a data breach. There is no way to have your account deleted, however it is possible to have your information (such as your birthday) changed, and certain info (such as real name, location, etc.) removed. As for your e-mail, it can only been seen by global moderators and up anyway, so there are only 6 members on the entire website that can see it. I don't believe it can be deleted, but I don't know why you would need to when it is so private. You can even make it so that only admins and up can see it, so only 3 people on the entire website will be able to see it. There is nothing for you to worry about. Vizzed will not give away any of your info, and neither will any of the members here. I am completely comfortable will giving away my full name (Tommy Gagliano), my age and birthday (15 years old, born on 3/25/99), a picture of me (https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/t1.0-9/p417x417/10422129_681518251901688_3434746849591684760_n.jpg), my location (New York), etc. I don't expect you to be comfortable with sharing all of that info too, but trust me when I say there is nothing to worry about.

To keep form confusing you, I would try to save using the in game save features that most games have. That way, you won't be as confused.

XD I PMed David regarding my birthday yesterday, to see if he could change it... if he's not the RIGHT Admin to message about that (which I think he is, based on his description), let me know who to better contact I guess. XD Any of you know how to edit the e-mail privacy settings (i.e. only set to the main Admins)?
