So I tried to play Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku (which can be found here).

I tried to play the game and this message appeared. I didn't even know that this message existed.

So is the game broken? Is there no way to fix this? I used the mednafen GBA emulator.

tRIUNE : This might be something you could look at.

Edit: The game works with VBA, but not mednafen, so I can't record it.

That's basically an anti-piracy protection that will make it fail to run on "hardware" that contains SRAM. Selecting EEPROM as the save type fixes the problem. The RGR Plugin's INI file for VBA is set to to use EEPROM for this game, but unfortunately Mednafen doesn't have the option to switch the save type. You'll encounter similar problem with the Pokemon games when using Mednafen with a message "The internal battery has run dry," while the VBA INI file fixes it.
