I need something time consuming. I need something that will take my mind off everything else except for what I'm currently doing. Currently the only thing I have that does this is video games. If I'm ever sitting around I start to get depressed thinking about my life. I also watch anime but I've been having trouble focusing sometimes even on that.
I know I need a job but there's not really much I can do. I don't really have any friends to hang out with or anything either.

Try fitness.  Running and walking gets you outside and exposed to the sunlight.  It increases your strength and endurance, elevates your mood with endorphins, drops weight so you feel and look better, helps you sleep, reduces your quick reaction frustration to bad situations, calms you down, and is the best exercise ever. 

The human body was made for running and walking.  You'd be amazed how much better you feel when you sweat and build strength and feel more and more confident about what you're doing.  Try it.  It may help your life improve.  It definitely worked for me.  Running helps me focus my mind and I don't feel like I have short attention span anymore.

I am going to agree with war. Every once in a  while just go outside with some music and just walk around for a bit. This has always helped me get rid of some time and I'm pretty sure that it could help you. Don't go out for just a few minutes though, walk around for 30 miutes to an hour or longer and it should help.

Hm... a long video game or long tv show is usually my go-to 'forget stuff' response, too. But I'll have to agree with warmaker and say that it's not the healthiest of lifestyles. Your other option for staying in doors would be to pick up a book series or two. As with tv or games, I just go at it and read that book all day. lol
