So it all beginning with Kirby's adventure 3, or whatever it was called. When you fight King Dedede he seems very emotionless and bland, but as you fight him you see he's possessed by a dark force. You beat him and all seems fine, but you realize there's still a giant eye in the sky. Now if you collect all those collectibles in all the levels (i really don't know this game well) you can use the star power stuff to fly into the dark mass and have a surprisingly creepy battle with a giant eye. This eye eventually has it's pupil blow out of the rest of the eye with lots of blood, and you fight the smaller target. Then when you beat him it seems like you've saved dreamland.

Fast forward to Kirby 64, somewhere on a heart-shaped pixie planet, the dark matter, the black stuff controlled by zero, the giant eye, from the previous game, invades and tries taking the magic power crystal. Can you say Crash Bandicoot? Well a certain pixie is sent away with the crystal by the queen, and dark matter forces destroy the crystal and some shards, with the pixie girl, crash on popstar. Kirby finds her and a crystal peice that absorbs into the remaining crystal, and they go to find all the shards on popstar. On the way, the dark matter is trying to take them as well, and you meet a waddledee, as well as learn where waddledoos come from, an artist boy, and king dedede, who you all must free from the dark matter's influence and enlist their help. As you gain power to travel to other planets you eventually make it to the heart planet, now covered by the dark matter. You eventually reach the core of the dark matter who uses kirby's powers against him, and when you defeat it all seems well, except the queen looks evil... wut? Well if you get EVERY crystal shard the crystal releases a huge amount of dark matter from her and you go inside to fight the cause of all evil in the land... zero.

Zero has resurrected from before as Zero-2, he at first seems like an angel before opening his mouth revealing an eyeball. As you shoot him, he bleeds excessively like last time, and you have to break the halo over a band-aid on his head to shoot a cactus thingy under him. Apparently the cactus was supposed to be red and bloody but had to be changed because there can only be so much gore in a Kirby game. He also has wings made from blood that you can shoot. Once you beat him the world is saved once again.

Now the plot in Kirby's Return to Dreamland is that an alien, Magolor, crashed his ship, the Lor, onto popstar as he tried escaping a dragon from his home world Halcandra. He says the dragon, Landia, is taking over his planet and he wants to stop him by removing his master crown. You help fix his ship and you return to Halcandra, and the Lor is struck down by Landia again. As you make your way to the volcano to stop him it seems the entire planet is turned against you, but you reach Landia, find out he's really 4 small dragons, and remove the crown. You are congratulated by Magolor, and honestly there's only one way I can explain this...

So Magolor has been using you the whole time for world conquest, and now you, your friends (forgot to mention the others earlier), and the Landia dragons go to stop him. After defeating his Lor, you battle Magolor, and after his first phase you fight Magolor's evil soul. Now nothing unusual here, but when you fight him in hard mode he seems to have a palette swap and when you fight his soul, thing's get surreal. He's now black and gooey, and in his mouth is what appears to be none other than a red eye. Black goo and a red mouth eye, seems familiar?

Now the way I see it, Magolor had gained the assistance of Zero, seeking revenge on Kirby, to help defeat you. Now let's recap, first Zero was a simple, giant eye. Zero-2 took the form of an angel, and then he appears on hard mode to be merged with Magolor's soul. Let's look at the soul. It has a face similar to the angel Zero-2 disguised as, and a spherical body, though that's probably due to the master crown controlling the sphere doomers. The sphere doomers themselves resemble birds, with bird wings, feet, and some horns. Now continuing on, Magolor's soul has spiked wings, the spikes made of black goo and the wings similar to another boss from Kirby Super Star, Marx. Marx had tricked the sun and moon into an argument and they began fighting. He then convinced the hero of popstar, Kirby, to summon a cosmic wish-granter, cosmo. Upon summoning him, before Kirby can make his wish Marx butts in to steal the wish, requesting cosmo to give him the power and assistance to take over popstar. He transforms into a monstrous being and flies with cosmo to stop the sun and moon and conquer the planet. Now you defeat him and save the world, but there was more added to the story. In the DS version, after beating the arena you unlock the true arena, and the boss at the end is Marx's soul. He apparently used cosmo's power to revive his power, and he's completely demented now. Oh, and after you beat him he screams and breaks your ears as well as give you "There's something behind me isn't there?" syndrome.

Now I believe Zero represents satan, as he is the cause of all evil in the world. It could be he was the influencer who turned King Dedede into a tyrant, Meta Knight as well, created other various dark-orientated enemies like the final bosses of Nightmare in Dreamland and Amazing Mirror and Canvas Curse. Something to note with Amazing Mirror and Canvas Curse is that they have multiple forms, the second one is a spherical body, and in Amazing Mirror it's a giant eye as well. Now Zero appears as a giant eye at first, which isn't yet showing any proof of this, but you can see where I'm going with an angel. It is said Lucifer was an angel who wanted to match the power of god, tried taking over heaven, and was cast out to hell. Many stories interpret that he became satan, created the devils, and was the source of human corruption, beginning with Adam and Eve being influenced by a snake to eat the apples of wisdom. In the game Zero tries to take over planets, influences others to do evil things, and appears in his form as a fallen angel.

When he became infused with Magolor to gain revenge, Magolor's Soul gains large horns, has wings similar to Marx, probably from Zero's memories of corrupting Marx himself, and the black goo seems to represent darkness. In other words, Magolor's Soul, containing Zero, is the very incarnation of satan. With his monstrous appearance, lust for power and wealth in the form of the crown, and Zero's desire of revenge, Kirby isn't all happy rainbows when you consider...

Oh.

You mean like how Sonic Adventure 2 was anti government, referenced Heaven in the song, Live and Learn, and even went as far as to name it, Space Colony ARK?

Or how the triforce is a reference to the Trinity?

Or the symbol of Islam is used In Ocarina of Time?

Oh, yeah, that kind of stuff.

But this is why we play awesome games like this well into our teens. They had something to them. You paid good attention to detail there Mecha Leo, I almost think that I want to get into Kirby now. XD

I believe it, in fact, Now I have to go make a thread about Zelda kind like this.

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .
