What's something that always irritates you?

This is something that always irritates me: You have a good book (I used books from the Alex Rider series for these examples), look at the cover and you see what newspapers think about the book and you read things like this:

"Move on James Bond, this is the new bestseller"

or 

"This is so much better than Harry Potter. This writer knows that a young kid spy is much more interesting than a wizard boy playing with a magic wand."

I hate it when people say that. They are just disliking an old bestseller but this is not the way to say that.

Local Mods : If something like this already exists, excuse me, I couldn't find something like this.

Please don't summon the mods for that kind of reason during tdv month.

I hate how the commercial for all movies says best movie in the world.
They can't all be.

The most simple things can irritate me in so many ways. For example, like how I get an broken nail to the point that the red/ pink skin shows. That is always painful and irritating. I get very cautious when touching things when the under skin is exposed like that.

Barathemos : Oh, alright. Yeah, they say that with everything, books, movies, shows, paintings etc. It's quite annoying but it's something that all commercials do.

cnw64 : I hate that as well, I have the feeling like my skin is about to rip and it's also very annoying when I'm writing stuff. And I never take cereals or milk, I don't like these two things although I like muesli. Don't worry, it's not so bad you are irritated over milk

When people ridicule gay's for.......being gay's. If this is too adultish for the thread, my bad. But although im not gay. It irritates me when people think it's ok to just make fun of gays because they're different. And some people say that they should not exist since they may go against god. Have anyone ever thought who all of us? God! So who made gays? GOD! If god didn't want gays to exist, he would have never made them? (or just made them straight.) But it appears a majority of politics forgot that.

Using gestures. My mom uses them all the time as she explains stuff and it makes me feel like a preschooler

Mecha Leo : that wasn't the purpose of my post. I personally am against the concept of a gay but I understand and respect gays. my point is that people are overreacting to gays and making them seem like aliens, which is just pitiful.

Clueless, ignorant people annoy me, and I am directing this more towards the neanderthal  class mates I go to school with, most of them aren't even willing to try to learn the material because they are so busy being stupid...its because of them that the whole class has to be stopped to shut them up, and then our class falls behind. 


And then there is some of the music today....a lot of it is just plain awful and they will put anyone on the radio nowadays...I remember when you were required to have talent to get on, but I guess that's not the case anymore. 

I really hate when you get food from someplace and you want to use a condiment to put on whatever your eating. So you open the lid to the, lets say ketchup, and there is ketchup just smeared all over the top and it just looks really gross...

Razor-987 : Ugh, I know what you mean. I have a few boys in my class who are like that, they study incredibly hard at home but do nothing in the classroom. A few of them are going to another class next year though, so that's a lot better. And yeah, any music with a good beat is considered popular these days *cough cough Hangover from Psy and Snoop Dogg cough cough*

People who stare at you from a distance. It makes me think why did I do something or what. It mostly just makes me over nervous but it is very annoying to me.

Something that will always irritate me is people who lack the capacity to understand basic manners. I mean how hard is it to eat food with your mouth closed or to say thank you when someone let's you by instead of just blocking your path.

I'm not talking about things that people do out of courtesy either, If I hold a door open for someone and they don't say thank you.. I'd be annoyed but they are under no obligation to thank me... 

For example earlier today I moved out of the way of an old woman on a mobility scooter so she could go carry on without any trouble.. I simply got the reply... "the youth of today are horrible, no respect"... But I can guarantee if I had decided to remain stubborn and stay on the path.. I would have probably been hit by her... Because that's how people are..

Sorry rant over.. 

pokemon x : Yeah, when I'm tired I sometimes do that but then people look back at you and I try to make it look like I didn't do that.

sonicmcmuffin : Bacic manners are important indeed but some people... And yeah, a lot of people aren't polite or won't thank you for things. I know how it is. You help someone but someone doesn't appreciate it. But if you wouldn't have done that, the other person gets angry. It's tough.

What irritates me is being treated like a complete fool, in general. Be it my folks for my not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, or just people thinking I don't know what I'm talking about.

What also irritates me is the fact that humanity as a whole has fallen, in so many different ways. Such as many refusing to do something as simple as showing their fellow Man common decency. Or that they do things just because they can.

Good question, I say....  Arabic Football ( succur ) And kids that are 11 that act like idiots thinking that their cool. Ugh

I really hate it when my parents tell me "You're not sorry!" Every single time I apologize for anything.

Or perhaps worst of all: ridiculously passive-aggressive people. I mean, if I ticked someone off, why can't they just say it? But no, let's have a dumb little tone, and refuse to acknowledge any issues, and prevent anyone who wronged you in the first place to fix anything so we can just stay in this stupid little attitude.

imamonster : Thanks a lot. Why don't you like Arabic football? Many Arabic teams did good in the World Cup. And eh, everybody wants to be cool so it doesn't have to be kids.

Razor-987 : That's exactly how I feel. My school's just like that. I thought it was bad in my grade, but then I had a Spanish class with mostly students from one grade lower than me, and... ugh. The teacher didn't help that either, she'd usually just call on a random few people who are talking to each other, meanwhile the whole rest of the class is talking, too.

I agree about the music, too. I feel like an old man saying that music was better in the old days, but it's just true. Probably the only stuff I listen to from this decade is chiptune. On the bright side, I would at least say that music from the past few years is a bit better than it was in the 2000s (decade). Now that was truly terrible.

As for my own "pet peeves" as they're sometimes called, the biggest one I can think of is when my internet goes out. I already have bad internet to begin with, but it's also really unreliable. (It's just gone out now, in fact, and I'm going to have to go reset it. AGAIN.) I also hate those "PC Master Race" people. I don't dislike PC gamers in general, or PC gaming, but those people who think they're so much better than console gamers, calling them "peasants" and are actually serious about it... well, to quote Peter Griffin, they really grind my gears.
