So this game was a huge disappointment for me due that i'm a Crash Bandicoot fan since the early days for the PSX.

The graphics are alright for a GBA game they could have gone better due to the first GBA game having the same graphics. The only thing i find interesting is when you traveled other islands on a boat. Other than that the graphics are ok.

I can say the sound is alright too do to it's cheap sound effects but the soundtrack is great in most levels. i personally thought picking up orbs was interesting they have a nice soothing effect that sound good. Other than that i'll give the graphics a <6> the sounds aren't the best but the soundtrack is good.

Like i said this game is a disappointment so i can say the game play is terrible in a lot of cases all i can say is that if they wanted to make the game good they should have just kept the old character models, keep away the punching, kicking, and orbs keep it the way it was or make a slightly better version of the old ones. and i can say that this game barely brought any fun just boredom.

The story is terrible trust me it's your friend crunch and sister cocoa getting kidnapped and of course you save them like any other game or movie. the story is just bland i don't like it cortex isn't the same, a lot of characters changed models etc...

The depth of the game gets you nowhere the story is easy and short and boring and makes no sense. I beat the game in 2 days and it's probably the biggest waste of time.

Last but not least is the difficulty like i said it's easy you only find very few challenges the game is no fun at all they could have done better and kept everything the old way.




So here are the pros and cons lets start with the pros

PROS: Slightly graphically advanced, Better music, Has a nice background.

CONS: Worse story line, Bad designs, No challenges, Shorter campaign, Bad items, Horrible ending, No lovable characters.

Aku Aku got a bad redesign same with Uka Uka

Crash isn't the same anymore his redesign just makes him look like a different character, same thing with tini tiger.

Enemies are bland they are just overly mutated animals and there is probably only 6 of them in the whole entire game why cant there be more like the older games

Crash has a different personality he's not lovable anymore and just looks ugly.

Levels are bland short and boring.

The enemies are a slap i the face they are not even the same enemies we knew back then they tried to make photo realism versions of the characters that look really ugly and creepy.

Well, you don't exactly list the main categories and the grades for each one, but I can tell you are new at this based on your post count, so its pretty good based on that. I really like the pros and cons section, In my steam forum, I made it mandatory to use those in reviews posted there. Overall, this is a good review, good job.


I have not played this specific game but I am a huge fan of Crash games, and this review kind of doesn't make me want to play this one.

This is a short review for a Game Boy Advance game, let alone a Crash Bandicoot game. I could have done with better descriptions though. That's my only complaint with this review. I won't give you a hard time since you're a Newbie, but just remember this for later

Well... it's not bad for your first review. I really have seen MUCH worse. I agree, this game sucks, and killed the franchise... I personally believe they should reboot it, and hope that the little hints from facebook, etc, mean that sony has siezed the rights back and the series is ready to make a comeback on PS4.
