You ever saw my review for Smash Bros Melee? Well, I linked a thread of mine that had moments of true artifical brilliance in it. It's not
that thread that shows what the AI can do. Here's what the AI can REALLY do.
I swear, the AI at level 4 can still be messed up and turn into a human pro in an instant!
2 true rage quit moments, back-to-back just recently.
1. I was playing 4 stock on Yoshi's Story as Fox against level 4 Ganon for practice. He was down one stock, so when I was about to combo him again, he then proceeds to do up-tilt on the top platform. I was on the main stage platform. Not a problem, it's super slow and I can just easily back air him to punish. Unfortunatly, my back air misses, so I just wait for the u-tilt to finish. It went longer than I expected, which was 2 seconds. I proceeded to do a quick Nair and punish him just before the u-tilt can unleash, guess what happened. Ganondorf's u-tilt was unleashed upon me, and it passes through my Nair. I
DIED. Just before it hit, I saw that I died...
AT 4%!!! I kid you not, in the middle of Yoshi's Story, with regular tournament rules for high level play. I'm sorry, but 4% is just ridiculous for an attack that is much slower than warlock punch, that is just OP, it's not funny! 4% from the middle stage and die! Almost yelling so loud and I slammed my controller multiple times on the chair next to me, which used to be my computer chair.
2. This is the day I curse using Captain Falcon as a training CPU. Same tournament rules, but on Final Destination. Me and the AI are down 2 stocks. level 4 Captain Falcon does his normal stupid behavior, and then disaster strikes when I was at ~78%. I was Nair comboing Falcon as Fox, and then at 50%, I miss. No problem, just dash Nair and follow up, piece of cake. But no. This is where it began. Captain Falcon hits me with Raptor Boost. Not an issue, he can just easily miss Falcon Dive, because I got launched high for 78% without DI, he then hits me with Up Smash. Both hits connect. 106%, still not dead. Dodged him with Dair, and then I proceed to combo to the other edge of the stage, and then I failed to shine spike Falcon. I sent him back to the stage accidently. I did Fox Illusion to the stage and it missed Falcon, and I was
RIGHT NEXT TO HIM! He didn't jab like the AI always does, but then he Up Smashes and kills ms at 108%, an un-DI-able death that can't be escaped no matter what. Slammed the controller down onto the floor as hard as Wobbles did when he rage quit against SilentSpectre. Screamed as loud as I can, yelling left and right, slammed the power button on the TV, and then my Wii.
You'd think I would be a baby to flip out, but no, I was a soon-to-be professional Mr.Game and Watch player like the high level players are, and then I get two horrible career-killing moments BACK,
TO... BAAAAAAAAAACK!!!
My controller is not damaged, good thing. But then I noticed a very simple wear and tear on my controller stick that wasn't caused by this, but just playing for a good 6 months, and I have discovered smart AI about a month ago. It started with Mr.Game and Watch at levels 5-9, but not, just about every CPU is trying to fit in with my skills.
The Captain Falcon kill can be done by human players, especially the Up Smash combos. Never thought the AI could catch on to my abilities.
I'm in a good mood now, but I cried for 2 minutes after I stopped my rampage. I have much tech skill for a young player, but I have an iPod recorder to upload my tech skill.
You should see my upcoming tech skill video on the game's vizzed page to see how good I really am. Plus, Game&Watch does so much better on Battlefield and Yoshi's Story.
To get revenge on my enemy, I hit them with a judgement
NINE and just laugh.
Can I get sympathy after what I put myself through with practicing against CPUs in Melee? Ike should, too. He normally never gives sympathy to anyone except for his friends, but this is a perfect moment to care for.
