Cadash is an arcade game that combines both platform and RPG elements (although to me it looks more like Action-Adventure and RPG style), and the company that made it decides to be nice and make some port to other consoles, and this port is the Turbografx one.

While checking the list of Turbografx 16 games, I came upon this game, and I said to myself: "The cover paint looks cool but the name kinda looks awkward, let's check an article about it and see what they say about this game", and so I did....and the article praised the game and its features a lot, so I decided to give the game a try....and yes...it was great.

Now when you start the game, you will first choose between four classes: Fighter, Ninja, Priest, Mage (some say that Fighter is the hardest class to play due to the fact that there are some enemies that you need to get close to as a Fighter and at the same time, they have a powerful melee attack), oh...and guess what? This game supports up to 2 players! So have fun messing with the possible combinations.

Anyway, you start at the castle in front of the king who requested your assistance and tells you that his daughter was kidnapped by Balrog (or Baarogue) and wants you to rescue her, so you get out of the castle and shop for weapons and ar......errr, I mean.....there's no shop outside the castle so you have only one choice here, proceed to the nearby cave, and yes....if you have to keep going forward because there's nothing that can restore your health back in the castle if you got back and want to find a way to heal yourself. However, once you do finish the first stage, you'll come across a town so you can finally rest at Inn and shop for weapons, armor and items....and begin your grinding period if you want to.

Did I mention that you can level up? Yes you can, and from what I noticed when leveling up, your HP, Strengh, Defense (actually AC, but it doesn't matter), Agility increases. And if you were a Mage or a Priest, your MP will increase, as well as learn new spells.

Oh and one more thing before we judge the game's graphics and sounds, etc. This game doesn't have a save option, in other words....if you died....IT IS GAME OVER. So you're saying right now: "Great, waste 2 hours in the game and make a single mistake only to have yourself get killed and do all that again. Plus, I can't play a game over 6  hours straight in order to beat the it, *sigh*...I can only imagine how will it feel when I die at the final boss ". Well...to correct some of that statement, the game doesn't take THAT long....I'm pretty sure yuo can finish it less than 3 hours even with some grinding. And don't be intimidated by the game's difficulty, I've played Fighter (well...I only played Fighter and never played the rest) which is rumored to be the hardest class and reached to level 16 (maybe it was 17 or 18) and got the best equipment and still have beaten the final boss AND I HAD MANY ITEMS THAT I DIDN'T USED IT.

The plot in this game....like I said before....still follows the same tale which is basically an evil wizard kidnapping a princess and then a great war began, and then the king called forth the heroes to rescue her and kill the evil wizard, with one extra thing I'm not mentioning.

The graphics in this game is excellent; the characters and the enemies are quite detailed, especially the bosses, their designs is just .....wow. Also, the background is quite detailed and sometimes to me, it accurately reflects what kind of stage I'm in before I even move forward in the stage.

The music is quite nice and I can never be bored of it, and it seems to fit very well in some stages. And the sound effects are all good except for one....THAT ANNOYING SOUND WHENEVER YOU GET HIT. Oh god, I can't seem to get that thing out of my head

What I like in this game is that it's always in Ironman mode (in case you didn't know what does that means, it basically means that you have only one life and if you lose it, you have to restart all over again, which makes sense to me because many players tend to die on purpose if they know that if they die, they can restart from the last save :3).

What I don't like in this game is that it's.....short....I know that it meant to be like this but I kinda want more, I want more thing from this game, I REALLY do hope that someone even release a hack for it for a total new adventure...but that'll be hard I suppose.

Overall, this game is worth it and has some nice replay value...and certainly deserves to be called "The Arcade Hit!".
