I have to say. One Piece Made me cry 4 separate times. I won't say when because of spoilers. I will say I KNEW that one time that made me cry would be reversed in the future. If any one wants to know I will respond to a PM asking me when. |

Oh this thread is a bit embarrassing confessional, isn't it? Yeah. There's only one though. The very end of Maison Ikkoku, theres this one part, the lead guy says the most romantic, selfless thing I've ever heard and the lady he's in love with overhears it. I was like, wow, dude, wow. Yeah. The death's in Naruto. Asuma's is by far the saddest for me. But Ino's and Shikamura's fathers are a close 2nd. Neji died in that same episode too. Yeah, whenever a main supporting character dies in Naruto, it's hard for me to take it. Yeah, whenever a main supporting character dies in Naruto, it's hard for me to take it. |

I'd have to say that: The Dragon Ball series - Numerous times, but especially the original series where Goku is reunited with his dead grandpa briefly ("I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find you!") Soul Eater - To avoid spoilers, given that the series has been done within the last ten years, and not everyone has had a chance to see the entirety of it, but I didn't expect that I would be pulled in that much with this line: "... Don't cry... For the first time, I'm finally happy... because you were my friend..." Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 - Again, I don't want to give spoilers, as there's a twist that would be ruined, but I can assure you that the whole short series is a tearjerker. Wolf's Rain - The entire series is emotional, but every backstory and the ending is notable. Junkers, Come Here - It's actually a stand alone film, but it counts as an anime. I'll spoil it, because everyone I've tried to get to watch it with me after I try to avoid spoilers end up ignoring it about 5 mins in... it's 1hour and 30mins long, so you can see my frustration. The basic plot can be seen as a tearjerker: Hiromi, an 11 year old girl, finds her parents are going to plan a divorce, and don't ask her about how she feels about it, saying that "She's a big girl, she can handle it". She has a Schnauzer named Junkers (say: Yoon-kers) who has the unique ability to talk, but only she knows about it, as she's afraid he'll be taken away if anyone else knows. As her life starts to fall apart, Junkers reveals that he can make three miracles happen for her, but she doesn't believe him (the first two that happen are so ambiguous that it could have easily been done without him). She finally makes her last wish, that her family could be happy like they were when she was a toddler, and Junkers is able to show his real magic, bringing them all together at the beach they visited many years ago. Junkers tells her to tell her parents her true feelings on the matter, and when she does, they realized how wrong they were for not taking her emotions into account about them splitting up. They later wake up back home, believing that they had all had the same dream. Her parents finally ask her feelings on the divorce, and conclude that they will reconsider the idea for Hiromi's sake, and try to be a family again. Elated, Hiromi rushes to her room to thank Junkers, only to find that he's just a plain old regular dog, leaving her to wonder if she had dreamed that Junkers was a talking dog all the years she had him. The epilogue brings up the question if Junkers could ever talk at all and that his magic to make the miracle happen was used up and left him as a regular dog, with him doing a particular thing he normally did that isn't very dog-like at all. I have cried a few times while watching anime.
First time was when I was watching the first episode of Kino's Journey. While I would say what happened in that final episode, Kino's Journey is a anime I would say needs to be seen for it to have full effect. Next up I cried a lot while watching Kanon 2006 and Clannad. Yes I will admit it right here on Vizzed I cried for a lot of episodes. The final one I cried for was an anime called Sword Art Online Spoiler:
I'm using Spoilers because I think I might drop a few spoilers during this but I want to explain what made me cry as most people might think that SAO isn't a sad anime. For me there is a very personal reason why I cried during it and what SAO meant to me. While the first 3 anime I mentioned are very good I recommend them all, and they did have some sad moments, SAO for me I was able to relate to in a weird way. Why's that, well you see when I first watched SAO I was going through a very bad spot of depression. I had been fighting it for about 9-10 years now and while it got better, it was at it's worse when I decided to watch the dub for SAO. The plot of SAO is that people get trapped in a virtual reality video game and the only way to leave it is if someone beats all 100 floors. Also basically you die when you are killed, meaning if you die in the game, you are dead IRL. This may seem weird but to me I was able to connect that to what I was going through. The video game was like my depression, if I died in the video game the depression won and well, I'd be dead. Also each floor had these boss fights, and each was very difficult meaning you could not clear it by yourself. You had to fight the bosses with multiple people. Each boss to me could represent every time I went though a extremely bad time and I couldn't get though it by myself. I always had to have friends help me fight that inner demon. Also beating the final boss and freeing everyone in the game, to me that's like me one day in the future beating depression and freeing myself from it (and I'm crying again). I know I still will need a lot of help from my friends but I always keep fighting for them. So those are the reasons and the anime's that made me cry. Well, someone said it earlier. But In Full metal Alchemist When Hughes dies. When his daughter, to whom he adored, started yelling
"Why are you putting daddy in the ground? He's gotta lot of work to do!" I broke down. I was in full blown tears. Other then that I only really cried in Pokémon. When Ash was saying goodbye to Pikachu in the first season(The Best One). I held it together until they started to play the song then I cried. And I'm not putting spoilers, because both of these have been out for more then ten years. "Why are you putting daddy in the ground? He's gotta lot of work to do!" I broke down. I almost cried when Haku died in Naruto, when I first started watching it, what Naruto said really got to me, the sad music in the background didn't really help either. There are a lot of those beautiful moments in Naruto when you get attached to a character and then they go through a bunch of flashbacks of their life before dying.... There are also a few of those moments in DBZ as well, like when Vegeta atoned for all the bad things he did right before sacrificing himself in order to defeat Buu. Honestly I think he is the most well developed character in DBZ compared to the one dimensional Goku. I really think he represents the way most people today feel and act in today's times. Honestly, there are quite a few things that I have cried over but some of them are more memorable than others. 1) Please Save My Earth (manga) - This one...just got to me. On so many levels. I admit, reincarnation stories just get me for some reason and that pretty much sums it up. I just felt Shion's feelings and it hurt. I actually cried for almost a week after finishing it just from thinking about it. And the moon kinds still makes me sad just from leftover feelings from reading it. It's that good. 2) Fullmetal Alchemist/Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (anime) - Okay so a lot of people have probably cried over these but honestly if you didn't cry over Spoiler: then you are pretty much heartless. I also cried for Hughes Spoiler: . I mean, come on. That was just....depressing.Greed 3) Gurren Lagann (anime) - I know this one has already been mentioned a couple of times, but yeah, I cried too. 4) Wolf's Rain (anime) - Everything. I cried about everything. 5) Angel Beats (anime) - The ending. Oh my god, the ending. It was a good one, but still just so bad. 6) Clannad ~After Story~ (anime) - I cried so freakin' much. Spoiler: Ushio! 7) Naruto (anime) - Yes, I cried over Naruto. I cried over so much in Naruto there is no point in listing it. Especially, the Shinobi war episodes. 8) Air (anime) - Admittedly, I didn't think it was that sad at first, but after thinking about it, I cried my eyes out. I am gonna stop there because I am just gonna keep going if I don't limit myself. I used to not cry over anything, but I guess anime just opened me up emotionally. 1) Please Save My Earth (manga) - This one...just got to me. On so many levels. Jeez, which anime didn't make me cry. lol. I was bawling in the Balbadd Arc from Magi.
Spoiler: Everything to do with Cassim was so tragic, his family (oh not his sister), his motivation, his friendship, his ending, and oh the music that plays during his death. Omg when Future Lucy from Fairy Tail died in the anime that made me cry. I never cry from manga or anime but seeing Happy's voice actor do so well made me cry. Also in Naruto Road to Ninja just seeing how Naruto felt made me cry alone. I might just watch again for the 4th time. XD |

I hate to admit it, but I actually cried in one of the scenes in the original Dragonball series. It was during the tournament. (Spoiler warning) Spoiler: I'm a very emotional person, so I cry sometimes. I get it from my mother. It was the scene when everybody thought Goku had just died. I love amine that makes me feel emotional. I like to watch stuff that makes me tear up but I usually pause the show when I start to lose focus of what is going on because I want to see everything that happens. So I usually just tear up and then collect myself and start watching again. |
