Personally, I have never cried while watching or reading anime or manga. I very rarely cry to begin with, so it would make it very difficult for something to actually make me cry, but I came very close with the puppy scene in Elfen Lied. It was heartrending. Steins;Gate was also pretty tragic, what with the deaths of Mayushii and Kurisu constantly in contention. So, have you ever cried while watching or reading anime/manga?

A lot of Elfen Lied made me cry. It's just such a powerful anime, and i'm very emotional, put 2 and 2 together and you get me crying every other episode or so.

Another anime was Death Note. The scene with L, you know the one.
Spoiler:
L's Death
That made me cry, a lot.
I was also close to tears in the scene with the dad, Light and the car.
Spoiler:
When he pretended to kill Light

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. This is one of, if not, my favorite anime. It as so many touching moments, and it made me cry a lot as well.

I never really cried in anime/manga either. Well, I rarely read any manga as it is, but I was close on a few anime. But the most notable is the end of Angel Beats, and the you know what scene in Fullmetal Alchemist.
Spoiler:
Maes Hughes' death

Besides that, I never really got close of crying like that.

I cry about pretty much everything honestly, I just really feel for a lot of things/situations. Angel Beats probably made me cry the most though. But I've seriously cried over like every anime I've ever watched.

Nah, I haven't watched much anime but it never made me cry. Of course, there are some touching parts but for some reason I'm a pretty cold person I guess as I don't cry much. I was very sad and shocked though when Inazuma Eleven ended. I saw the last episode right before a taekwondo training and the first half of the training I was completely unfocused as I could only think of that.

As someone mentioned above, I cried for Gurren Laggan too. There have been a few anime that finally finish and I'm left a bit emotional with tears in my eyes because it's over hahaha but the anime that had me constantly crying every episode was Tsuritama. I think it hit very close to home and I related to it a lot. Many scenes reminded me of things in my life which made me cry. I feel this way about the last episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion too because they have me thinking for days about my life. Most of the time, I end up watching or reading anime where everyone dies, so of course I'm a bawling mess at the end. For example many parts of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure or I don't know if anyone has ever read Bokurano but that messed me up.

There was an anime that made me cry, or be close to crying, where there is a puppy. It grows up to join a pack, seeing that the pack leader was his father, that he thought was dead. The dad didn't remember having a son, and thought it was just an ordinary pup being loyal by calling him father. In the last episodes the snow made him remember... Remember that he had a son that he saved from a bear. But right at the moments they could work together as family, and fight "This Demon from Hell which is a bear that was almost invincible," he got injured and died, and Gin was chosen in as leader. It's just so sad... How he finally realized it was his son and finally got to fight a bear together, and he just dies... And the anime is dark, they're many deaths, all so sad, an outcast or not. Blood would be everywhere in every battle. But it's just sad that Riki doesn't remember Gin in the first place!

Toradora made me tear a little bit because of how the characters are so emotionaly attached to each other. Especially the second to last episode when ( had to deleted every thing that was here cause of the spoiler bar not working) It was so dramatic and emotional.

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou was the anime that made me cry however ...

The speech that was given at the graduation was too emotional for me, it was a true tear jerker.

Well, just a couple months ago, a scene from the new Pokémon season made me cry a bit because it was a sad scene in episode 2. ANother anime that makes me cry is Persona 4 The ANimation, there were plenty of scenes that were sad, at least a couple different episodes made me cry a bit the first time I saw them. They were all very dramtic as well.

Admittingly, I don't watch much anime, but the few series that I have followed would be Dragonball Z, Naruto Shippuden, and Kuroko's Basketball. Pretty mainstream, huh? Anyway, the only moment that got me close to shedding a tear is when Jiraiya meets his demise at the Hidden Rain Village. Yeah I liked Jiraiya a lot, and that made me really, REALLY, sad. I don't remember shedding a tear, but I knew really wanted to.

*Ahem*

Spoiler:
I cried in Code Geass during Shirley's death, Euphemia's death and Lelouch's death. Twas all for the Zero requiem. I also cried at the end of Soul Eater because of how horrible...terrible...and incredibly bad it was.

sop281 : The only thing i could think of during the puppy scene was "WHERE ARE ALL THE ADULTS"! I was more shocked then sad in that scene.

I nearly, nearly cried at the end of angel beats. It was really sad for some reason. The end to P4 the animation made me almost cry just cause Yu left Inaba. But GET HYPE for P4G the animation!

So far nothing has made me cry then again I haven't really watched the really sad ones yet which most make most cry I think? But when I do I hope I don't cry myself to death.

Anime has yet to make me cry. Granted, I don't watch a lot of it, and I haven't gotten a chance to watch some of the popular ones, but still.
Manga, however, has. I don't know why, but sometimes emotions come out better on the page. Even then, the first (and only) manga that made me shed a tear was Zatch Bell. Half of it is just tearing relationships apart and killing off the partner for the sake of a single character becoming King. Combine that with the fact I get emotional easy? Tears for days...

I just finished Hunter X Hunter's latest anime season... It almost made me cry because but I held it back
Spoiler:
I could not believe how sad that ending was. Meruem and Komugi playing the game that game until their death and then holding hands while they died together was one of the saddest things I've ever seen in my life.

Isn't there a topic like this already?

Anyway, I would have to say AiR
When
Spoiler:
Misuzu dies.

I dunno why Angel Beats! was considered a sad ending tho...I thought it was kinda a happy ending.
