So have you ever caught em all in any of the games?I have never done it but I think I could in Y if I really devoted time and patience waiting for fair offers in gts. Anyways have you? If not then have you ever came close?

I've always tried to attempt to catch em' all, but the only games where I've caught em' all are the second generation games, and it was a very difficult process. Trying to catch em' all can be redundant, though, for a lot of reasons. You can encounter the same Pokemon a lot of the time, and it requires a lot of Pokeballs to do. When I first played Pokemon, I never attempted to catch em' all.

yes: all 718 with mythicals. and I have a iv breeded team along with the shiny and oval charms.

I've caught all of them in the original Blue version for gameboy color, including the 3 legendary elemental birds and mewtwo.

It's just gts trades never are fair, everyone wants a legendary Pokémon for other Pokémon that may even be a simple find in the other version of the game. I have also not come close to catching them all. The closest I got was halfway in black and white. I think that is like 300 Pokémon out of 600 something (I don't know).

I have never caught them all. The closest that I ever got to catching 'em all was in my Pokemon Diamond file with 300 something out of  493 which is around 3/4 captured. Pokemon Diamond was my best game file that I used so much time and work on. Whoever caught them all in an original Pokemon game, I give you props!

Nope. I once intended to do it though but it takes a lot of time and patience which I don't have while playing games.

I have, in Pokémon White. I logged roughly 290 hours into that game, and not only did I complete the PokeDex, I had over 60 Level 100 Pokémon.

I have not. It just takes far too much time. There are also the Pokemon that were only available for limited times during special WiFi events that I could never get to, and some Pokemon that simply are not obtainable without a second person or device. I pretty much just gave up trying to do this long ago.

Yes, I did catch all the 719 Pokémon in Pokémon X. (719 because I have a Diancie).    

I only ever did it in Pokemon Crystal. After that there were just waaaaay too many! I tried on X, but didn't get very far (think I only collected around 250-70). Plus with Wi-Fi battles and Wonder Trade I've been pretty distracted from my original "catch 'em all" goal.

I remember I have come really close a long time ago, back when Gold and Silver first came out. Back then, I was really into Pokémon. I also had a bunch of friends that played it, too. The closest I have ever come to "catching them all" is one. I had caught 250 out of 251 Pokémon in Pokémon Silver. Of course the only one I had left to catch was Celebi. I have NEVER owned a Celebi in Pokémon. The only way I could probably get one is trade with someone that already has it (duh).

Another thing, the Pokémon Crystal hack on Vizzed allows you to catch most of the Pokémon. The hack is called Pokémon Crystal All or something like that. I caught all of the same Pokémon except for Mew, Mewtwo, and Celebi. So that's 248 out of 251. But this time, I didn't have to trade with anybody. Most of the catchable Pokémon show up in the wild. Its my favorite hack by far.

I have never caught them all in any game. I have tried in Pokémon Sapphire. I believe I was only missing a jirachi. I didn't know how to get one. I remember asking my friends if they had one and none of them did at the time. I almost completed my pokedex with the help from my friends. I remember trading a Groudon for a feebas just to get the pokedex entry. It felt so worth it back than but now I see that was a really horrible trade I did.

Yeah I have both in Pokemon Diamond and the original Pokemon Black. I had to trade a whole lot but I managed to get them all. And since then I haven't bothered, I might eventually but I'd rather focus on training the Pokemon I have. I do wish I still had those save files though...

Actually, I was close on Pokémon black one, but my Ds Lite broke and I haven't gotten the chance to see how many Pokémon I needed for the full index. But I congratulate anyone who does catch them all, that takes some dedication and some patience.

awesomeguy279 : I never caught them all in any games. But in Pokemon Y, I only need Xerneas left so every Pokemon from the Generation 6 Pokemon are found. I didn't caught them all. I meant here is I have a Kalos Pokedex for Pokemon from Kalos. If I had Xerneas, every Pokemon from Kalos was found. (Excluding Event Pokemon)

I got close in pokemon blue. I got 150 pokemon! And there is 151. The one i didnt catch yet is mew. Than i lost my game cartridge and yah. I got mad hahaha.
