"Alright, buddy, let's get to it! After all, I can't wait to see this egg crack!" Sonic Taunted at Ego in the Cockpit.

Ego: "I will not engage in your childishness Sonic The Hedgehog, I know what my task is, and I will complete it. But I will have you know that I built and designed this machine, not the Dr. For I am a superior in his ranks."

sonic : "Sure, whatever you say Eggy!" Sonic continues to taunt as the blue adventurer lifts his arms into the air, and then brings them back to his "ready for a fight" Stance from Sonic Adventure.

*Bash!*

All four of the balls orbinging the Eggorbinator smash the ground where Sonic was standing just a split second ago, and several homing missals continue in the chase.

Ego: "mark 7, X 71, Y 85, 40 % magnitude, commitment R = to C. follow up set."

sonic : "Hey, keep it up and you'll have a bigger mouth than your Boss, that's why ne needs the mustache, it's to cover the whole thing up!"

Ego: "Irrelevent Hedgehog, I have already won and calculated your movements." Ego swipes duel lasers in front of Sonic while the missals are still chasing him. The large balls stay in the ground, keeping Sonic from moving toward Ego's Machine. Sonic is caught in a three way trap, up against the building, and with the missals approaching him at different altitudes so that he cannot jump over them!

sonic : "Yeah, except. . . "

*Sonic runs up the building*

sonic : "You forgot about this little trick!"

The missals attempt to follow, but most of them crash shortly after the turn. All except one, which has a yellow tip. Ego says nothing as this special missal, a fluke, chases sonic with superior programming, and great speed.

sonic : "What the-"

BAAAAAMMMM!!

Ego: "Target, struck."

"Don't you DARE HURT MY SONIC!!!"

*PIKO!*

BAAAAAMMM!!!

Ego's Egg Orbinator has taken a huge beating, getting knocked aside from the blow.

Ego: "Does not compute. Left side damage, target confirmed, Amy Rose."

Amy: "And if you DARE hurt my sonic again-"

*Piko* BAAAMMM!!

Amy: "I'll clobber you!!"

Ego: "Error, I am not ready to fight A-"

*Piko* BAAAAAAMMM!!!


The Egg Orbinator lay on the ground, out for the count perhaps, and still smoking. The cockpit opens up, And Ego leans outside of it. He stares at the angery pink hedgehog with that glare that no one can really make out what it means, mostly due to his inability to express his eyes very well.

Ego looks up.

It was Sonic.

He was sky diving right for his ship and turning into a ball!

But Ego KNEW that Sonic would try this after his missal had injured him and sent his sky high.

Ego sat back down in the cockpit and got ready to push a button.

"30 meters" he thought.

"21 meters" he counted down in his head.

He got even more ready to press down on the button.

Amy: "SSSOOOONNNIIC, GO STOP DR. ROBOTNIK, I'LL TAKE CARE OF THIS LOON, YOU STOP THE DR!"

Ego says nothing, but as he gets ready to press the button, Sonic falls. . . away from him, and starts to fall behind him.

Ego still goes through with his plan, pressing the butto-

*Piko!*

BAAMMM!!!

Amy: "Hey, what are you doing getting back in that cockpit, trying to get back in the fight? Oh, I'm sorry, I thought that just might have been ready to escape like that coward Eggman!"

Ego: "Illogical." The robot just stared at Amy through the cockpit after getting up from that last blow. He then looked at Sonic who was running down the street. Ego locks and loads the Egg Orbinator to fire at Amy, but something more important catches his eyes. A G.U.N. helicopter has just flown by north of his position. Ego turns the Egg Orbinator to see who's inside. Yes, it was Shadow, but Shadow wasn't jumping down to challenge him, instead the helicopter kept flying forward and Shadow stayed in it. Ego swore he saw Rouge force Omega to put his arms down which would otherwise be aimed at him at this moment.

Amy: "Then let's finish this!" Amy holds her hammer out levelly in front of her stomach, clenching it with both of her fists.

Ego: "Irrelevent. Mission complete." The Egg Orbinator flies up and tries to get away.

Amy: "Oh no you don't!" Amy jumps up and hits the Egg Orbinator from the underside, dealing massive damage, and causing much smoke and sparks. An Eggpod jettisons out of the top of the Eggpod with Ego inside. Making his retreat, Ego begins to think about that the battle that has just finished ensuing. Ego was somewhat satisfied by his angering of Amy. But he wanted to kill Sonic, something that perhaps he would have succeeded in if it weren't for her. He had been preparing for this battle for a long, long time, and had successfully calculated Sonic's every move. He had been monitoring Sonic since the days of Chaos and space colony ark. studying his every move and strategy. It was his lack in intel on Amy and her surprise attack that had defeated him. Next time he would be ready for Amy- if only he could get a hold of the right files. . . Until then, He looked forward to proving himself the greatest of all robots.

Using his mind- and cunning. . .

Ego is fun for me to use, especially as my own character. I just realized how much more I could use Amy in this story, I wasn't too sure how to make this go, but I wanted to portray that Sonic was not up against any normal robot. Hence the beating. I hope that you enjoy the next chapter as much as this one. I'm very much enjoying writing this stuff.
