Simple question.Do you consider RWBY an anime? I personally...Don't.

I know the creator says its an anime.

I know its on crunchy roll.

I know it got an anime award.

But..I just don't consider it an anime.However,it is close.And i will give it this,The fight scenes are some of the best i have seen,whether i consider it an anime or not.Those fights are freaking awesome.Why don't you tell me your thoughts down below..? Or die.

I have never seen this RWBY but i wanna tell you that the best anime i watched witch is SAO (Sword art online) thats a good one. And i just watched a video on this RWBY and it kinda looks different from anime. I would have to agree with you.

Depends on your definition of anime.
Anime is short for animation, so if we were to go by the definition set forth by the Japanese, it would be considered an anime.
If we are talking about the way that it is English-made and is therefore not an anime because it is not of Japanese origin, then it would not be considered an anime.

Personally, due to the distinction that has been made between western cartoons and Japanese anime, I would say that it is most certainly not an anime. However, it is clear that it has received influences of the anime variety. There are cartoons that have this sort of influence, some of them almost seeming to be made by Japanese creators (sort of), an example of this is Kappa Mikey. Though this is usually not considered an anime.

So yeah, it really depends upon your definition of anime.
