Tails and Suki walked off into the night. Tails was felling better, and it wasn't that cold out.

"So, where are we going? asked Tails as he flew behind Suki, He didn't want to touch the ground, lest he hurt himself again.

"Just over to this nice tree." Said Suki, as they both climbed up a hill.

"Wow, the stars are so beautiful tonight!" says Tails.

"Hmm hmmmm" Suki smiled. "I always wanted to reach for those stars. One time, I ran up a steep hill and jumped for em!"

"I dunno that you can actually reach them that way." responded Tails scratching his head. "I guess that there's no reason to ever stop trying."

"Yep!" Said Suki happily.

"I'm. . .gonna . ..get some sleep." yawned Tails putting him hand in front of his mouth. "It'd be good for my injury to heal up."

"Do that." said Suki. "As for me, I'm going to look for that ship!"

Suki dashed off, before Tails could say another word, leaving behind a whit and black streak.

The next morning, Tails woke up all alone. He was still leaning up against the tree. Tails, Sonic, and the others never really needed sleep, they could stay up for nights in a row, and never get tired. It was cause they were Mobians, and they had great powers that normal people didn't posses.

Tails began to peel back his bandage.

huh.

It felt a lot, LOT better.

"Allright, time to get back to it!" Tails exclaimed gleefully.

. . . 

"Huh. . . but where's. . . .

"HI!"

"Aaaaahhhh!" Tails jumped back from being scared.

. . .

"What are you doing here?" Asked Tails accusingly.

"I came back and brought you breakfast!" Suki smiled holding pancakes, butter, and jam on a tray.

"Oh. . .well. . I don't really need to eat that often. . ."

The aura of the beautiful homemade pancakes alluringly stroke Tails nose.

"Wow- I mean. . .well. . . . I guess that a few pancakes wouldn't hurt."

Tails sat down with Suki and began eating. It didn't take long to finish them all off either!

"Woooww. . .these are really good."

"Thanks," said Suki! "I made them myself!"

"Where did you make em?"

"I went back to my house at 5 o'clock this morning and made them for you."

"So that means. .. .oh no! THAT ROBOT MAY HAVE THE EMERALD BY NOW, COME ON!!"

Tails grabs Suki by the wrist and starts running, glad to find that his wound was healed and that he would have no trouble. The early morning dawn sky was beautiful on these lush hills, perfect for running fast in. It isn't longs before Suki breaks free and runs of her own accord.

"We need to find that chaos emerald!" Tails exclaimes.

"The Tornado said that it was in this direction!"

A bird flies up from behind Suki and looks at her. Suki and the bird keep looking at each other. .. and look as if they are talking- but they aren't saying anything.

"Let's head over there," Suki points at a huge fault in this hilly area.

"I think that's where the Tornado wanted us to go." Says Tails."It's an old abandoned mine. The Chaos emerald go all over the place after Super Sonic uses them, it always happens after he's goes super for a really long time. I guess it's so that no one uses so much power for too long. To ensure a tyrant can't do to much with them." Tails explains.

"Like Dr. Eggman?" asks Suki?

"Yeah, he's pretty much the only troublemaker around here. Come on, let's go!"

Tails, Suki and the bird run over to the fault. There, They find an entrance via some scaffolding. Mining equipment of an older generation lay in ruins in the trench.

"Well, it's gotta be in here somewhere, We just have to find it." remarks Tails.

"Then what are we waiting for? let's do it!" Suki runs in ahead of Tails.

But unknowingly to Tails and Suki, there is a mysterious figure wearing a cloak behind them, hiding behind a rock, he peers out to look at them with his green eyes.
