I love Vizzed, my dedication to its maintenance is testament to that.

I have been here for years and referred many greats to this site.

Everyone knows me and I love you all.

Yet I have noticed people are very quick to call mods these days for what they feel is the slightest infraction of the rules.

This is nothing related to me dropping a status or 2 my new threads have taken off like rockets and yet people are now becoming resentful and calling mods to try to shut them down.

It never used to be like this.

I actually like the mods but this behaviour of whistle blowing by over zealous vizzed users to summon them all the time is bad form.

In the past people used to get really cross with this kind of actions, it really does not ingratiate you to other members and is just bad form.

I did not create this thread to start any arguments or wars, I love Vizzed, but the tone now is really unpleasant.

Who is doing all this, Davideo7: is still really cool and I speak to him often.

Yet there is so much more freedom we used to have that is going now.

What are your current thoughts and opinions on vizzed.

Please please do not bash the mods here, I really like them and I have been getting on great with them in the last few days and I really want that to continue.

But we do need a free space to speak about what is our community made up of the members.

I have not hard feelings so please don't rush to close this thread. It would be good if everyone could see peoples true feelings in a democratic space and we could see how people really feel.

There is no bitterness, please don't blame anyone directly, I don't want anyone to close this because they think it breaks a rule when it does not.

It's sort of a contagious mindset: a user calls in the mods to close a thread, and another user sees that but maybe gets the wrong message from it.  That user calls mods to close a thread, but for the wrong reason.  The mods have trouble going through all their PMs and Notifications, so they might close the thread, only to realize that it shouldn't have been closed in the first place.  By then, the damage has been done.  Elrinn, for example, made that mistake with a thread, only to admit that the thread shouldn't have been closed.  This shows that mods can be human, but also may very well want to do their best.  We have to help them do their jobs.  They cannot do their jobs to their best without our help.

supernerd117 : This is just the sort of sensible reasonable comments that we want on this thread.

Thank you so much for posting it here, if everyone posted sensible things like this we could have a proper discussion.

And to think I was becoming paranoid that someone would call someone to close this thread.

You really have to be careful as everything gets read and you can get into trouble for talking about that also.

We've had threads like this before and they devolve into bashing someone for some incident that has already been dealt with.

You can pretend all you want that this has nothing to do with losing your elite status but you're not fooling me.
