Depends on what kind of game I'm playing. Gamecube is awsome for 3D and adventure. The joy stick is easy to use and the buttons are arranged really well. The only problem I have with it is the d-pad. I=he spot it has on the controller is in a really bad spot. For 2D games and 2D fighters like Mortal Kombat I would have to say the SNES. I love the buttons on this one, too. For what it is, it really has a winning set up. Over all, though, it would probably have to be the Gamecube, simply because you can't play a 3D game on a d-pad very well. I would love it if they re-made the SNES controller and added a joy stick.

My favorite controller is still the Intellivision controller.

The multi directional keypad, in combination with the thumb driven, eight point disk was and still is the most versatile controller, today.

Hooray, Intellivision.  If it wasn't for you, we would not be enjoying video games as much as we do, right now.

Oh, oh oh. This is fun.
I love the mouse. I grew up with it. But no one would consider that a controller.
I hate the PS1 controller. I got so many blisters from that. It sucked, even if Ape Escape was fun.
Joysticks seem... weird. I kinda admire them, but not enough.
PS3 and 4 controllers seem okay, but with my big hands, well... there's just no using them without my hands getting sore.
Therefore, I'd have to say that my favorite controllers are the x-box 360 controllers.
I don't think they work for everyone, but they're my personal favorite.

Unless a mouse counts. Then I'm going with a mouse!

My favorite, to be honest, is the Gamecube controller. It just feels right to hold it in your hand. Like, everything is in harmony. I am so glad that Nintendo decided to add a plug-in adapter to the Wii U for Smash. Can't wait to try it out!

Probably the XBOX 360 controller with a chat pad attached. I have big hands when it comes to game controllers, but the 360's controller just fits naturally. Also a reason why I switched from Sony to Microsoft gaming.

GenesisJunkie : I love the Wii Remote. It is so cool!! You can wear it with the wrist strap. I always use it to play on my Wii amazing games such as SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Poke Park and lots more. It is also fun with the Nunchunk. I use it to play Mario Galaxy and some other games. The Wii Remote feels so good. I also love the Wii U Pro Controller. Why? Because it's like I'm using an XBOX controller, but Nintendo style! I use it to play Wind Waker HD. Both of these controllers are so fun, I'm a Nintendo Gamer after all .

GenesisJunkie :   I am with you on the genesis controller.  The SMS, NES and SNES controllers are too small, while pretty much all the others are like bricks.  I like the Genesis controller because its really easy to use 1-handed, which is nice for some of the turn-based and role-playing games that I like so much.

I also like the PlayStation controllers, they have a good grip and everything is easily accessible.

My favorite controller is the Sega Saturn model 2 controller. The D-pad is perfect, and its really comfortable to hold. Sure, its basically the same thing as the Genesis 6 button controller with shoulder buttons, but Sega just improved it with the Saturn model 2 controller.

G@mehe@d : I love the second model of the Saturn controller too. I like the 3D controller a little better though, it looks cool, fits nice, has great feeling buttons and triggers, and has the most interesting analog I have ever used.

I like the PS3 controller, I like the feel of it, and the maneuverability of it, in my opinion it's miles ahead of the old school NES controller oh man I still don't know how I used to spend hours on end with that controller, after like an hour of play on that controller my hand hurts, with red marks on it.

My preference is the Sony PlayStation Controller, the button configuration and hand-held structure is what I`ve found most comfortable and user friendly to date, that and Sony didn't really change it, which I think raises my own personal opinion of Sony, rather then having to adapt to a new controller that`s different to each new system they come out with, unlike some other systems that I`ve played.

My runner up controller would be the SNES, insofar as personal preference, but I recall it`s structure was uncomfortable during some games.

Currently, I would probably pick the PS3 controller overall, since it has the USB port and I use it on my computer, though I haven`t tried PS4 yet and may change my mind to that when I do.

My favorite controller for a video game console would have to be the N64 controller because it was the 1st one that I owned and it's extremely nostalgic to me. Also I absolutely loved it's design. I doubt my answer will ever change on this subject.
