Over the last week or so, my computer has given me the BSoD "Memory_Management" error a few times. It's happened about 3 or 4 times so far, and the last time was yesterday evening. I looked online to see if I could find a solution to it, and most of the things I read said that this means that the RAM is faulty. Is this true? If so, should I think about buying new RAM and putting it in the hard drive?
Here's some of the specifications for the computer if it helps:

Windows 7 (64 bit version)

Acer Aspire X1301 (this is the computer itself)

AMD Athlon II X2 240 Processor (2.80 GHz)

4 GB RAM

Thanks in advance for any help you might have for this!

My dad and I both have Acer computers and this happens a lot.  Mostly for me it happens when I get a windows update or get an anti virus big update.  I'll get the Bsod first few times starting up then it settles down after the second time.  I have a netbook so I can't really do anything to help my problem.  But if you have a computer that you can install new RAM in then go for it.  My biggest suggestion is next time don't buy and Acer lol!

LCRain : Well, it hasn't done it since when I mentioned it in my post (knock on wood), so maybe the problem's gone for now. I think I'll hold off on buying new RAM since it's been behaving for a while (a week and a half, soon to be two weeks). Thanks for the advice though!

NintendoFan0513 : This error is an actual hardware error from your motherboard/ram and they way they communicate to windows. Something is up. You could run a program in windows called memtest which is a memory diagnostic tool. It will tell you if one of your ram sticks went back and you can go from there. (if the issue pops up again)

You can google Memtest to find the program you need.
