I saw Brazil-Chile. It was a thrilling match, especially since both teams had amazing chances. Hulk was in top form and Neymar did great as well. Bravo made spectacular saves as well. I am happy that Brazil advances but I'm sad for Chile, they did amazing and it's really sad they have to leave. Their last penalty was so unlucky. 

In a few minutes Colombia-Uruguay will start. I'm really curious and I have no idea who will win.

For the last few minutes I had given up, They were heading home. But then Sneijder made a amazing goal!

The second goal was a penalty. Shot by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Robben was very nice to give Huntelaar the penalty and it was a great shot! Ochoa went completely wrong!

The World Cup has gotten better and better every day it feels. Now we get Greece vs. Costa Rica in a game literally no one thought would happen this World Cup.

I'm rooting for Costa Rica. They have been so fun to watch.

So, we won! I was quite surprised, nobody expected that we would win in the last 10 minutes. The first half was boring as heck, the Netherlands played awful and Mexico did way better. They deserved their goal right at the beginning of the second half, we have a  horrible defense compared to most teams. But then...

Sneijder his goal was amazing, not even Ochoa could react. Still, I think that penalty was undeserved. I think Robben made a schwalbe. If you see him falling in slowmo, it looks like he thinks one second and realizes 'let's make this more dramatic' and his fall gets more dramatic. But Huntelaar his shot was amazing. Just good in the corner and it was chosen well as Ochoa dived to the left.

Anyways, I'm still happy we won. I'm rooting for Costa Rica now, Greece isn't bad but I think Costa Rica is better.

I just don't like Mexico. So the Netherlands beating them is a very good thing.

I like the World Cup, I just don't have much to say, since I'm less knowledgeable about soccer than I am basketball or baseball.

I have to say, Mexico was quite strong and I wouldn't mind too much if they won from us. They were playing better than the Netherlands in my opinion. Still, I'm happy we won.

Happy Netherlands won since that's who i always go for in world competitions for soccer.

Hoping Greece gets beat just as bad as Uruguay. They got through on a dive in the 93rd minute, when their player tripped himself in the box.

Should be Costa Rica vs. Ivory Coast

So, Costa Rica beat Greece with penalties. I have seen the goals from the match, the extended time and the penalties of the match.

I have to say, I was incredibly amazed when Greece managed to score in the 89th minute. They kept on fighting till the end, which is their strongest point. In the extension they had a load of chances but they couldn't get the ball in. They were also a lot fitter than Cost Rica, who started to look like they were about to give up.

Then, the penalties. It started really good, better if you compare it to Brazil-Chile. But when one ball was stopped by Costa Rica and the fifth ball went in for Costa Rica it was all over.

Still, I think that Greece would have been a tougher match for us instead of Costa Rica since the Greece team fights very strong until the end. Costa Rica just needs a good chance and they get the ball in.

Also, I thought that Costa Rica would win but I was rooting for Greece.

Let's not forget how Costa Rica advanced despite crappy officiating heavily in favor of the Greeks.

A lot of unnecessary bookings coupled with the double yellow resulting in the red, which forced them to play a man down for the rest of the game and despite everything it's clear the better team won.

Even better was the fact that a Greek handball didn't change the result. Score should have been 2-1 with no extra time or penalty kicks, but in the end Costa Rica won the way they have all tournament. By being fighters. If the US can't win, I'd want Costa Rica to win.

Today, it'll be France and Germany (no duh) advancing. That's my take. I haven't gotten more than 1 prediction wrong this tournament lol.

legacyme3 : The stoppage time was indeed bad. 
We began very aggresively, but just couldn't get past Howard. 

It was only in the extra time, when Lukaku showed up, that things changed. Though props to America at the last moments, almost got the 2-2, and we would have had to go through penalties.

I think really only Howard did his job at the American side.
