I would consider myself having average strength. I do some weight lifting (only with a 40-45 lbs. dumbbell), push-ups, sit-ups, and I'm usually doing a lot of walking while at work. I used to do a lot of exercise biking, but the bike broke so I don't use it anymore. People I guess would consider me strong and I do have some muscles, although they are lean muscles given that it would require a lot of work for tall guys to become ripped.

I'm currently thinking about joining a gym, but I want to increase my strength a bit so I don't get looks from people about how week my lifts are.

juuldude : Well my job requires me to do lots of walking and heavy lifting. I used to work lifting and putting furniture into people's car for a while in the past so I guess that requires strength to do. The furniture doesn't weigh that much (anywhere between 20-100 pounds) and most of the time I had to lift them by myself. Although it kills my back a bit.

juuldude : I'm about 6 feet tall, and around 200 or so pounds. I used to play football in high school. I was a wide receiver, so I didn't really work on my arms very much. Most of all the workouts I did were for my legs. So I would say my legs are a LOT stronger than my arms would be. I try and run around the block at least once a day to stay in shape. I also bowl on a daily basis. Bowling might not sound like much, but you'd be surprised how much its actually doing for you, especially if you do it a lot.

I certainly don't look really strong physically, but i can lift a 275 pound barbell easily, and i swim and walk a lot, so my legs are very strong. It's proven a great advantage in my life, as i've had to lift a lot of heavy stuff lately.

Honestly, no. I mean, I did not consider myself strong while I was in the Army either. For all I think about myself, I am just a little bit better than average in my mind, mainly because I am willing to help people if they need something.

I kinda consider myself strong. I'm that person who is really strong when he is angry, or when he really believes he is strong. I am, however, extremely fit, if that means anything. I am skinny, but not very skinny. When I was in elementary though, I was like one of the weakest kids you could ever find.
