I don't know what it is about breeding monsters to fight, but I like it. This game has always been one of my favorites. When I owned it for real and not using this site to play, I would play it on car rides, at the doctors office, everywhere I went. In fact, I played it so much that first the memory went and I couldn't save it, but then it eventually could not even get far enough to bring my first monster. Now that I have shown just how addictive it can be for me, I will go into the game play and what makes it so fun.

To start, I can't get past my love of the monsters. There are big ugly ones that have the odd funny attacks. For those who prefer the cute and cuddly, it has a variety of those as well. Big monsters, small monsters, cool monsters and even ones you have to play to unlock. In addition to the initial summoning, you can combine your old monsters to make variations of different colors, starting traits and stats. Also with the freezing method, if you get bored of one monster, you can use another and go back to the previous one. As a last not about monsters themselves, the cool thing about getting attached to your monster is that instead of freezing it and using it to create another, you can make it into a coach so you can have it raise your future monsters.

Next is the story line. In this game you start off with an assistant to help you learn what to do. As you progress, you get rivals, friends, and people she knows to help you along the way. For me, I always enjoyed the story because there is a point where you think you are going to be done, but then a surprise, there is more. But wait, just when think you are finally hitting the end, another surprise and you have more to do.

Now, as with all GBA games, there is only so good of graphics. Personally, the game is addictive enough and good enough to not even notice. The fighting between monsters is a good system of back and forth trading depending on the stats you focus on. There is exploration, so fighting is not all there is in the game. The sound is good, not the best, but good and can help pull you in. Occasionally the game will seem redundant, but fun at the same time because your monster gets to old to fight before you get to the final end of the game and you have to get a new one. What is a bonus to this is that you get to try that other monster you have been eyeing for a while. At first, the difficulty may seem a little tough unless you love breeding games like this. As you go, it seems really easy, but by then you are dragged into wanting  get to the end of the game and see what creatures you unlock or how to finally face your ultimate rival.

That is my basic run down without giving to much away. If you are looking for an addictive game to pass the time, then you have found it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

hello : ) I really liked this review. Good details and wonderful grammar. Only thing I have to say is remember reviews aren't suppose to be bias. Positive or negative bias. So remember to take your personal feeling out and post on facts.
