I'm willing to pay you US $1 for each thread you make (starting now) that gets 40 replies or more (including your own) and another $2 if it gets 100 or more replies (so $3 total if your thread gets at least 100 replies).

The idea is to encourage people to come up with good thread ideas that will spark conversations and lots of replies. Threads encouraging spam posts or posts of 5 words or less do not count.

This offer is for everyone and will go on until the end of the year (or until I've paid out US $100). A max of $25 per a user, an all payments are made with PayPal when you've requested to receive the money you've earned so far (but you must earn $5 or more to get payment). If you don't have PayPal, I can order something online for you equivalent to $25 (including shipping cost).

EDIT: You can take Viz instead of cash if that's what you want. In this case, there's no limit on how much Viz you could earn doing this and each $1 = 1,000 Viz.

It's really not that hard. All you have to do is think of an idea for a thread that you think a lot of people would be interested in and that a lot of people will reply to. Once you start to make a few good threads, it gets easier, the first time is always the hardest

You are right. I have used all but 1 of my good thread ideas. I think I will start it now!

I've been thinking of ways to create a thread that would get a lot of replies for a while. I do have a couple ideas, but I don't think I'll be able to start one of them for a little bit. The other I can create immediately. We have a very wide range of members here, so if you can find something that interests all age groups then a thread will do very well.

I'll also be posting in other people's threads just to make activity and bring them close to reaching those goals.

Good idea, this is sure to help activity.

A while back I realized that there wasn't enough good discussions or threads worth posting to so that's why this was created (and also one of the reasons Cyro was promoted to Full Mod, he's great at starting discussions and increasing board activity).

I'm also willing to pay Viz or Money for other idea's that could help increase Vizzed Board activity so if anyone has an idea, feel free to let me know

How about adding a GameBoy Avanced to the Retro Game Room.
Remember 3/4 of the registered users come on here to play games. That would increase baord activity.

And there was a vote and people wanted the SNES over it.

Tybo: I'm actually looking for something that'll increase post activity. Yeah GBA would be nice to have but it'll cost a TON of money to have a GBA emulator created and I don't have that kind of money to invest right now. When and if I make enough off ads, I will invest my money into that but for now, I'm still focusing on getting an SNES emulator added to the site and unfortunetly the guy I hired to work on it sorta dropped out so now I gotta hire someone else which delays the release of an SNES emulator by a month probably (but we should still see one by Christmas I'm hoping).

You could make like a cupon book that only active, posting members get. It could have cupons for viz, discounts on items, and more.
The limit could be users that have 0 or 1+ thumbs and have made over like 500 or 600 or 1000 posts!

i just discovered this today.
well, i started a thread yesterday that might increase board activity, but i seriously did it because i figured we needed a thread like the one i made, not because i can earn money from it.

well anyway, i can put the money i earn to good use if i get a lot of replies... like college application fees for example... they're expensive to me right now.

I believe if you max out on a thread with $3 worth of posts. That thread it full exhausted and you'll just have to make another good one.
