Had this ever happened to you?!
If yes, follow my steps on how to get past the barrel without a time over!
Step 1: Find ANY way to get to Carnival Night Zone Act 2. It doesn't matter which way you choose, but find a way to access act 2 of Carnival Night.
Step 2: Go through the act normally. ALL characters encounter the barrel, so it doesn't matter which one you choose. In a later point after playing as all characters and encountering it, you'll understand what I meant by all characters. [TIP: All routes you go for the act make you go to the barrel, no matter what you do or where you go]
Step 3: If you see a checkpoint leading to an empty room, go to it! It'll save you from time over. Anyways, the room has the Carnival Night Barrel, a famous troll object in gaming history. If you go in the room, the door closes behind you which means you are trapped. Don't freak out, I'll help you for sure!
Step 4: This step is the most important because you need to understand it to pass it. Jump on the barrel. Press up and down depending on the position it is on for up and down. Repeat it and you'll eventually get space to fit pass the barrel and it also rewards you an invincbality monitor to reward you for your cleverness by passing it/
ANOTHER METHOD: This is just a difference of step 4 to get past it. If you have 7 chaos/super emeralds and 50 rings. Jump over to the edge of the barrel and turn into Super or Hyper Sonic. If you got it right, he could be glitching through the wall and passing the barrel stress free. The reason for that is because when the super activation starts, he ignores lack of solidity letting you pass through walls. Let me note that you can do the same trick on other platforms.
