I have a shirt I have from high school (I'm 32) and I still wear it around the house.  It's ripped a bit, it's beaten to heck and back, and it is super soft because it's barely left.

What do you still wear that is really old?  What's the oldest clothes you still have, whether you wear it or not?

The oldest clothes I still wear are probably my clothes from sophomore year (I'm a junior now) so I guess the oldest clothes I wear are clothes about one year old. I guess they don't really count as old being only a year old but they still fit good but they aren't "this years treading clothes".

I don't really tend to hang on to a lot of old clothes because I just grow out of them really fast. They either are saved for my younger brother (even the majority of his clothes are bought from the store) or we give them to goodwill or something. I have a few graphic tee shirts from last year and maybe one or two from 8th grade that we bought in a larger size so I could keep it longer. I also have a few sets of pajama pants as well that still fit normally.

We never get clothes that fit us just right, because it would be a waste of money since you will just grow out of them sooner or later, so that is why we buy clothes just a little bigger so we can get more use out of it.

I recently found a pair of old gym shorts from Middle school 8th grade year. I found them because I wore them out side to cut the grass and basically tend to the lawn. They aren't to short(thankfully) they are a size large and really came in handy because I didn't have to wear any decent clothing to do lawn work.

I turn 37 later this week, and I still have a couple of shirts from 7th grade.  I guess that would make them almost 20 years old.  Other than that, I'd guess that most of my clothes are between one and five years old, with a hand fill of items that are older than that.

I'm almost 27, and sadly, nearly my whole wardrobe is made up of high school clothes, and in some cases, even some middle school clothes. I've not been growing and, in fact, my mother teases me all the time by saying I'm shorter every time she sees me.  I fit into most of the clothes well, and they're decent enough for both home and workplace, so why not?

I have to say I'm surprised so many people keep older clothes and wear them.  I kind of thought that in today's society, people are constantly replacing their wardrobe, and that I was just very weird.

I still have a shirt I got when I was 16(or close to that age). It was a Christmas present.

zanderlex : Psssst.... you are not a geezer.... that is all.

After going over some of these posts and seeing what zander posted, I forgot to mentions something interesting. Despite the age of most of my clothes, they are actually in wonderful condition.  I can't think of any that are really all that worn or that have holes in them.  That's kind of odd, honestly, because I don't sort laundry like most people. I just toss it all together.  lol

I have a shirt or two from 9th or 10th grade that I still wear (band shirts)... so 14 or 15 years old. I gave my favorite shirt a Viking funeral back in 2010 after it became too damaged to wear... it was the Marilyn Manson "Long Hard Road Out of Hell" shirt... which I called the Holey Manson Shirt by the end. I miss it.

I think the oldest thing I have is from my Freshman year of High School ( Class of 2012 here ). I had all my friends sign a brand new white t-shirt. XD

I still have the shirt, but you can not read anything on it anymore. The Sharpie marks are so faded away after all these years and washes. It is hilarious when I mistaken it for a regular white t-shirt and people try to read it in public. XD

I think the oldest article of clothing I still wear on occasion is a beyond worn out San Jose Sharks T-shirt. I 've had the thing since  high school, which I finished over 20 years ago. It's so thin and transparent that you could strain spaghetti with it. I've been meaning to throw it out but I never can get around to it. It always ends up in the hamper and back in my closet rather than in the trash bin, where it belongs lol.

Hmm... One of my oldest shirts, which happens to be the first shirt I bought on the Internet, doesn't even come close to fitting me anymore. It's just over ten years old at this point, and though I don't wear it, it makes a great rag and reminds of me days gone by.

As for the oldest thing I still wear, it's hard to say. Most of my T-shirts are from around 8-6 years ago. The only clothes I buy anymore are pants, because that seems to be the only thing that wears out for me.

I think the oldest piece of clothing that I still have is my orange hoodie from my Myrtle Beach Visit when I lived in North Carolina my Freshman year during Spring Break. That was in 2009. Next oldest is the white t shirt that I had my friends sign at the end of my Freshman year of High School. I wear it to bed every now and then, when I need to wear a shirt. That was back in mid 2009?

High school T-shirt is my oldest peice of clothing. I had all these anime shirts I held onto for years and years though, and eventually gave to my little brother.

Hey guys I am 26 and I have a pair of pants that zip off into shorts from highschool i still wear, i have lost the legs so they are only shorts now. my best friend used to call them the river shorts because we got drunk on vodka on the river and i passed out in the river with them on and he saved my life. then i proceeded to rip the button off of them and throw it in the river and i had to hold my pants up all night lol.
