So, there is this kid in another class named Lucas, he thinks he's so cool and stuff. He's in the same grade as me. For the past 2 days, my life was horrible because of him! I tried to stand up against him one day, but he switched to victum mode in a millisecond. That same day I got into an argument with him and he made me a bit too angry and I told him to "shut up" in a angry voice. After that, he said that he's going to tell on me. How nice >


Ok, time traveling back to yesterday and today. Yesterday was a bad day because of him, but that's a different story.Today, he made me angry over a small thing. A SMALL THING. Now, here is the details.


So, I was kinda playing manhunt and I needed to touch the bench to be on "T" (or safe, because I'm in elementery school). Anyways, I had to sit on my friend's leg so that counted as "Safe". After they got off, Lucas made a big deal out of a small thing, It was accidently his leg. I tried to say "Sorry" but of course, the bully makes a big deal again. After walking away, I just think bad thoughts in my mind about him which would be too insulting to tell you guys.That was just the start. Say hello to another bully, Chris. But save that for later, I'll tell you how angered I got 2nd break.

Every Wednesday I do library helpers for 2nd break. Well, it was closed. I left early after checking out new books and putting some books away to help. So, I take the books outside and go on the bench, reading peacefully. Then, Chris tags me, saying "Your it!" a couple of times. Instead of being calm and saying, "I'm not playing", I freak out. I got so angry that Chris tried to apolgize but I didn't take the joke. I try to calm myself down by reading my books. Well, that kind of helped.

So, the bell rings after a while and instead of eating where I usually eat, I eat at the office. I didn't get in trouble or anything. I felt bad for myself.when thinking of what I did which was wrong. Before I got into the office to eat, another kid said "Nice freakout", I replied "Shut up". He later said "I'm telling!".

So, do you have any advice for me to stand up to them without freaking out? Telling wouldn't work because teachers won't believe that stuff and consider it tattling and I would get in trouble. So, do you have any advice? Because I need all the help I can get.



EDIT: If you don't understand, I get anger issues when things like that happen.

There is not really a good way to deal with this. Bullies are bullies and that is what they are. If you fight there is only two things that could happen, you could win and get in trouble or lose and get your butt kicked. I do not suggest fighting. Talking doesn't really work ether. You will just have to find your own way to deal with this problem, you are still very young so you have a lot of time to learn how to deal with it. Good luck friend, I know as good as anyone how much it stinks to be bullied.

In my opinion this does not seem too much like bullying. I do not know what to do for the first part but for the second part. If he ever does it again just do nothing and remain reading. It will usually just cause them to go away.

GenesisJunkie : Thanks, I needed some help with the bully problem. Tomorow, I'll try to ignore him. Plus, I might bring some books to read because I like books and they make me calm.

soccerman611 : seems like this is a tight situation hard toget out of i don't think you can deal with it too easily but if you can't do anything i sudjest you just walk away from the situation

I'm baffled.  Where's the part where he's a bully?  I didn't read that part.  People throw around the term bully for every little thing.

You sat on his leg, he got upset, and you thought really mean things about him.  You sat on his leg!  That's not fun.  And if he was upset, that's okay.  People have feelings.

He was then playing tag with you, he upset you, HE APOLOGIZED, and you refused his apology.

Some other guy says something to you and you tell THAT kid to shut up.  Chris didn't say anything.

How, in the name of all that is holy, is this bullying?

That's not bullying dude.. Real bullying is when they shove you and tackle you and stuff..

O.k kid here is the thing, what the other kid is doing isn't bullying its just him trying to be annoying. I'm the kind of guy that likes to be annoying to but in a funny kind of way. It sounds to me like you got a little anger problem to. Just don't respond to this kid, find something that you can do or think about that makes you forget about the rest of the world or just makes you happy and this kid will get angry that you aren't responding to him and probably just forget about you or get bored of you (most annoying people do it for attention). This is just a theory from past experiences I've had so its not guaranteed to work but it most likely will. I would advise against yelling or retaliating cause that will just amp up the kid more and make other people want to join in. Sorry i didn't use names (bad memory)

soccerman611 : well I would say the best idea is to rather move school or move class (you do not need to do this if you really want to do something about this bully but it was just ideas)
