Well, this is interesting. I think this guy was stupid to burn an American Flag, and he deserved to get tied to a flagpole for it. Now, if he was smart, he would realize that even if burning a flag wasn't against the law, he'd still get the crap beaten out of him, and was very lucky that he came out of this situation without a couple of broken bones. From the video the flag seems to be of great importance to citizens of Valley Falls, since those soldiers were trapped in that foxhole, so I could see why they would want him punished. But he was just a drunk loser who cried because he couldn't get even MORE drunk. People in this state are just sad, and like I said before, he got what he deserved.

That particular flag that the moron burned was raised above soldiers in a foxhole in Iraq. Most of those soldiers never made it home. That flag was there during the battle. That's why it's so significant. I feel the same way Mr. Normile does. That wasn't just an ordinary flag, it saw Americans die overseas. Having it raised was honoring those soldiers. The 21-year old burned up more than just a piece of cloth, he burned a piece of history. I would be proud to have that flag at my post.
