I like the first one better because the laws are not as stricked in the begining of the game. The summons are a little stronger and when you can use one, it is amazing! If you use 3 on the final boss he dies! FFTA definatly gets my vote

Are you fricken kidding me? FFTA-2 has alot better game play, but the storyline was BS. The first one had a very good storyline, but the gameplay was just Ok.
I hate judges.

In my opinion, the original Final Fantasy Tactics was better than both of them combined. That is one game i could play for 100+ hours every year.

I've played both & I think FFTA is better. The story certainly is & I like the combo attacks. I killed the final boss in her second form in one shot with a paladin initiating the combo, a red mage, & an assassin.

The first one was an interesting change of pace when it came to status moves. Typically, they are so weak people just avoid using them all together, and although they were much stronger in FFTA, there were a lot of ways to become immune to them as well. Some classes did feel a bit under/overpowered though. I have yet to try FFTA2. Ill get back to you once I do.

A2 was better in my opinion. I actually payed ATTENTION to the storyline, so I think it was better than the first. (Whole world controlled by a wheelchair kid's imagination? Whatever...) Plus I liked the amount of classes they had, WAY better than the original, and better delivered too (Fusilier better name than Gunner) But I do agree that in A2 the laws were ridiculous. There's some that's impossible to follow! Specifically ones like 'Cannot Attack Weak Monsters' when all your guys are Lv60+ (true story) and 'Missing With An Action' when its IMPOSSIBLE to have 100% ALL the time!
