Dragon Warrior 3 is my favorite NES game.  It has great story telling, introduced night and day into the RPG world, and was brilliant.  It ate up so much time for me as a kid.  It's also the reason I joined Vizzed in the first place.

The NES is not my favorite console by any means but it did have some gems (and a better controller than the Master System but the Master System was a better console, that is a story for another time though). Some of my favorite games for the NES are Super Mario 3, Donkey Kong 3, Balloon Fight (awesome joust clone), Gauntlet, Gauntlet 2, and the ever present classic Punch Out.

My favorite games for the NES would have to be the Megaman series (1-6).  With Megaman 2 being my favorite out of those.  I also throughly enjoyed Final Fantasy 3 (I sadly couldn't get myself to play the first two though).
